How do the "Authorization" in ABAP mathch to "Action" in Java?

Recently I am studying the CC of GRC and some concept really confused me. When creating a new function we need to add some related "Actions" to it, but the concept "Action" only exists in SAP Web AS Java scope, not the ABAP scope. How do the authorization concepts in ABAP like "Authorization Object", "Authorizaton" match to things in Java scope? Obviously we need those ABAP authroization unit when defining the risk among the business processes.

in CC functions, the term "action" was chosen because we do need to include actions for non-SAP systems, too.
In an SAP ABAP context, this can be translated to "TCODE". When you look at the UME connector in 5.3, "Action" also rings a bell in an SAP context.

    Have you explored the AtzDecisionData? It contains additional information such as an identity Assertion token and a list of user roles - though not an explicit explanation for a deny.

  • How come the authorization on iTunes keeps hiccuping in ver 7.3?

    Ok, its getting to be ridiculous how every time I buy a new song or import a track from my own CDs that iTunes wigs out and demands I authorize my iMac to play the songs once more. Is this some bug of v. 7.3 or does it really think my buying tracks from the iTunes store or importing my own CDs is some sort of grevious music theft? It is getting very old to have to remind iTunes everytime I add more songs that everything is ok, again! What in 7.3 made iTunes so touchy, and if so will they iron it out in v 7.4 when that comes along?

    Well with the new 7.3.1 update, I guess I'm not the only person that had this problem. So far I have yet to have this trouble with it again.

    Checking User Authorizations in your ABAP Program
    How to set Authorization to an ABAP Programs?
    Much of the data in an R/3 system has to be protected so that unauthorized users cannot access it. Therefore the appropriate authorization is required before a user can carry out certain actions in the system. When you log on to the R/3 system, the system checks in the user master record to see which transactions you are authorized to use. An authorization check is implemented for every sensitive transaction.
    If you wish to protect a transaction that you have programmed yourself, then you must implement an authorization check. 
    This means you have to allocate an authorization object in the definition of the transaction.
    For example:
    program an AUTHORITY-CHECK.
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT <authorization object> 
       ID <authority field 1> FIELD <field value 1>. 
       ID <authority field 2> FIELD <field value 2>. 
       ID <authority-field n> FIELD <field value n>. 
    The OBJECT parameter specifies the authorization object.
    The ID parameter specifies an authorization field (in the authorization object).
    The FIELD parameter specifies a value for the authorization field.
    The authorization object and its fields have to be suitable for the transaction. In most cases you will be able to use the existing authorization objects to protect your data. But new developments may require that you define new authorization objects and fields.

    2) Click on create New workbench request and give desc once popup appears, Click Ok
    3) Now open the trasport in edit mode
    4) Add
    Program ID - R3TR
    Object Type - FUGR
    Object name - Name of the Function group

    Tigon's already got you covered here. But I'll chime in with some English localisation advice.
    There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
    The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
    If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
    Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
    Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

    I'm pretty new to the SAP Security and have been working on the Basis sides...I created a new role in PFCG and added a few transactions (ME13) and clicked on the Authorizations tab. In there, the authorization tree is in yellow and red. After providing the Org Values, only the yellow lights remain (apart from the green one ofcourse). Now how do we get the values for the different auth obj fields that are in yellow... say for example

  • How do I authorize my computer? I can not find the "Authorize This Computer" option anywhere.

    PLEASE READ ALL EMAIL. ANYONE THAT CAN HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. As you read through the emails, you will see that "C" the customer service person responds the same way. All the emails are from the same thread.  I would reply to his email, he would, I guess, copy and paste an answer, and the response is the same. He never pays attention to the previous emails. HELP PLEASE!!!

    I do not get an error, I do not even get the authorization dialog. I have sent 2 screen shots, they are attached.
    When I try to play an iTunes store purchase, a bubble pops up and states that this computer is not authorized. It does not pop up account name or password. I have also completed everything stated in the http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389  link.
    This is very frustrating.

  • How do I change the authorization on my laptop

    I have a windows 7 laptop that was the first place we installed Adobe Digital Edition and we used one email address.  Now we do not have access to the email account any more and want to chagne the authorization account to our new email account.  We have created the new ID on the web and I am logged in using it to write this request for help.  I cannot find any way to change the authorization account on my laptop.  I have tried uninstalling, deleting the digital editions folder, rebooting, and re-installing but it stills shows the authorization account using the old email address.
    Ideas?

    The clean way to deauthrorize your computer is to launch ADE, and then press Ctrl+Shift+D (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+D (Mac). After deauthorizing, you will be forced to reactivate/authorize when you next run ADE.  --

    How much was the amount ? A 'normal' holding charge is a small amount (e.g. equivalent to about $1), and usually happens after you add or change credit card details on your account. Here in the UK it can take a few working days for it to disappear (so a weekend can extend the elapsed time).
    Edit : I don't know what a non-liability certificate is and/or whether Apple can do one.

    if you execute su53, the authorization check failed cannot be displayed for reports. because you are executing query in BEx is it?
    for this you can trace the userid that executing query to check the authorization check failed. Go to st01 and find out the authorization check failed there.
    And you can find in RSRT too. i am not sure that.
    One more option is there to check the authorization with help of matrix that you prepared for assigning access/authorization to the users.
