Let me know if that's clear as mud and I'll try to shed more light on the subject.
One thing that isn't specified/clarified/whatever (and was the biggest stumbling block for me when I first tried this in PPro 1.5) is that the ruler for the tab stops is zeroed at the edge of the text box, and tab stops ONLY work in text boxes (or "text area," however you please). At any rate, you have to position that ruler so that the zero point is at the left edge of your text box, and then the rest of the instructions in the help doc will make sense.
Also, it's useful to show the tab markers while you work. Just go "Title > View > Tab Markers" and you're good.

As a side, I have found that this one feature is really the best and most useful part of the PPro titler (and also, just about the only function in the titler that WON'T cause your system to crash on a regular basis).

I need to have all results displayed and keep building the array(display until, the end of the test)Eventually I will have to include a min max section that displays the min and max values calculated, but that should be easy with the min max function.Actually I thought this should have been easy but, I gues I can not see the forest through the trees. Can any one help to slear this up for me.

I didn't really have time to dig in and understand your program in depth,
but I have a few tips for you that might things a bit easier:
- You use local variables excessively which really complicates things. Try
not to use them and it will make your life easier.
- If you flowchart the design (very similar to a dataflow diagram, keep in
mind!) you want to gather data, calculate a value from that data, store the
calculation in an array, and loop while the time is in a certain range. So
theres really not much need for a sequence as long as you get rid of the
local variables (sequences also complicate things)
- You loop again if timepassed+1 is still less than some constant. Rather
than messing with locals it seems so much easier to use a shiftregister (if
absolutely necessary) or in this case base it upon the number of iterations
of the loop. In this case it looks like "time passed" is the same thing as
the number of loop iterations, but I didn't check closely. There's an i
terminal in your whileloop to read for the number of iterations.
- After having simplified your design by eliminating unnecessary sequence
and local variables, you should be able to draw out the labview diagram.
Don't try to use the "insert into array" vis since theres no need. Each
iteration of your loop calculates a number which goes into the next position
of the array right? Pass your result outside the loop, and enable indexing
on the terminal so Labview automatically generates the array for you. If
your calculation is a function of previous data, then use a shift register
to keep previous values around.
I wish you luck. Post again if you have any questions. Without a more
detailed understanding of your task at hand it's kind of hard to post actual
code suggestions for you.

I see that you can print a contact sheet but how can you make a contact sheet that you can email where receiver can open the thumbnails and view?

You can either use Bridge and the Output workspace, or grab optional plug-ins for CS5 and run Ps on OSX in the 32 bit mode. (Or grab the excellent 3rd party script, Contact Sheet X, and run that in Ps. http://ps-scripts.sourceforge.net/ContactSheetX/csx.html).

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. It the problem persists make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
If the new library does'nt have that problem then your original library is damaged. Post back if that's the case and we'll go from there.

[O365] [EWSMA 2.0] [C#] [Windows] How do you create a contact folder that resides under the "My Contacts" node in OWA for O365

In OWA for Office 365 you can create a contact folder that resides under the "My Contacts" node on "Peoples" tab. This folder ends up appearing under the "Contacts" folder in the exchange store. However, if you attempt to create
a contact folder under "My Contacts" using Outlook it ends up under "Other Contacts" node in OWA for O365. Even if you attempt to position folder at the root of exchange store it still places it under the "Other Contacts" folder.
The same is also true if you attempt to create a folder using EWS. Is there a way to create a folder using EWS that will appear under the "My Contacts" node in OWA for O365? I've tried the following with no luck:

Lots of questions, here goes:
CAN YOU: Yes. You can create multiple server nodes. You can add a server node by going into the Visual Administrator and clicking the add node button. Make sure you have the required space on the physical drive to accomodate the space needed for the new node (hint: check the space of your existing node).
PERFORMANCE: Yes, maybe. If you are running on a 32bit OS, yes, this will definitely improve your performance as you are most likely memory constrained at the moment. If you are running on an x64 or 64bit OS, you will find that performance will improve but only to the extent that you have memory free and that you have available CPU for the new node. Remember Java processes are CPU hogs at times, especially during startup, and the more of them you have, the more CPU you need. Also, watch out for garbage collections. Be sure to tune your instance to with incrementals and fulls in mind. Another benefit of multiple nodes is the HA you get by default when you add more than 1 node. Now if 1 node should crash or restart, your portal is still running and accessible on the other node.
PARAMETERS: Yes and no. For java startup parameters, you can create a template under the global --> servers to have your parameters be all the same When you create a node, those parameters will be used. But, your currently configured child configuration parameters will not be reflected in the new instance since those parameters are taken from the global (parent). This is what the global is for and you should consider adjusting the global if you want your child nodes to have consistant values.

How can you create a button master that can be unlocked but where edits to the master will affect all buttons?

I'm creating a course calendar (January - December) for an organization and courses are repeated several times throughout the year. I've been asked to create this as an interactive pdf rather than as an interactive Indesign document that can be viewed via a browser, so I'm unable to use multi-state objects
Anyway, I've created button masters for such buttons such as previous page/next page, course index and search on my master pages, so that's all fine and dandy as I don't need to move these elements. The way I have set up the calendar is that you click on the course name (a button) and a popup (also a button) shows up with a course description - I want to be able to move these popups so that they are the general vicinity of the course name button and not just floating about in the centre of the calendar.
However, because course descriptions or what is offered in the course change frequently and I am expected to keep the calendar up to date, it doesn't seem efficient to have to manually change every description for a course popup that shows up several times throughout the year or even several times on a month. The issue is that even if I create the popups on the master page, as soon as I unlock them on my month pages and move them to where I want them to be...they'll no longer be affected by changes to the master.
Is there some sort of function like in html/CSS where you can assign a class to a button or something? Or it is something that Indesign isn't capable of and I will just have to do it manually and try to be careful not to miss any courses when they are updated?

While you could create a different screen for each, a better way to do this is via some form of database. The buttons cause functions to be executed and the functions utilize data resources based on the selections that are established.
So if you pick a particular character, a variable is a assigned a value that indicates that. That variable is then utilized to extract the data associated with the character and to build the screen elements related to the options for that character.

so doing it through InDesign is a work around I'm exploring.
Excel has the 'LOWER' function and the ability to record macros for a quick find/replace on the spaces - so that's definitely a good option if it can't be solved purely in InDesign.
You can change case via scripting in InDesign. This AppleScript (OSX only) will set the case of the selected paragraph style to lower. It would be possible to add some code that would strip spaces as well:

How do you create a local zone that's not "stripped down"?

I've been exploring Solaris 11 Express a bit more after work, and I can't figure out how to create a new local zone that doesn't have a minimized package set. The ISV guide mentions that new local zones default to "minimal system software":

...but that I can specify additional packages with the "-e" flag during the zone install. I don't want to list dozens of supplemental packages by hand... there must be a way to make a new local zone that has an almost identical package loadout as a standard global zone. (i.e. ftp, smtp, telnet services exist in the global zone, but are not installed in a local zone).
Do I need to use ips commands to first make an image (of a global zone) then update my local zones to that image?

pkg install -r slim_installI got an error that "-r" isn't a valid flag for pkg, but it seems to be working without it (i.e. "pkg install slim_install")

I am trying to make my sons birthday invitation and he is having a Lego themed party... how do I create the black and yellow outline on the font. I have downloaded the LegoThick font... but because its an outline font and not white, the outline is only black and if I change it to yellow the black obviously changed too...oh and I cant get the font filled in white.. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but to be useful this one requires an explanation of how you did it.
This is very easy using multiple strokes in Illustrator, not so much in ID, but it can be done with a custom stroke style of type Stripe using half the width for the stroke and half for the gap. Fill the text with [Paper], then apply the stroke in Black with Yellow gap, or Yellow with Black gap (depending on which side of the stroke is gap). Is that what you did?

How can I create a new slide that starts where a complex animation on the previous slide ends?

I am creating a series of animations to illustrate a complex set of ideas, and I want to do it as a series of animations, to keep each slide from getting too complex. Thanks, Gary. I should have mentioned that the previous slide moved and scaled several groups of objects. So, at the end of the slide's activity the groups of objects were in different positions and were of different sizes than they are when I return to the slide. So if I copy the opbject sn paste them onto the next slide, I still need to get them to the right place, and scale them. That's tricky, especially since text objects don't scale like graphic objects. How do you create a database so that the PDF forms will populate the database as they are submitted?

I am trying to create PDF forms that will be filled out by multiple members of an organization. I would like them to be submitted electronically and then populate a database so that the data does not need to be reentered into a database.
I generally use Microsoft access but certainly know how to use comma separated values (CSV) or Microsoft Excel.
I currently utilize Acrobat Pro X.

How can you create a gutter space that moves in inDesign?

The gutter space needs to be able to slide from left to right within the page margins.
I've seen it within a document, but need to create one.

If you mean unbalanced column widths you can set those by first specifying the number of columns on the page, then, with guided unlocked, you can drag a pair of guided surrounding the gutter to any position you need. This only works for multiple single-column frames on a page. Multi-clumn frames can only have equal column widths.

CSA MC 6 - How can I create an SSL Certificate that points to a name other than the hostname?

I have just installed CSA MC 6.0.2. My company has a bunch of customer's that are on different domains. We are all linked through VPN tunnels and would like to have all the agents point to a specific URL for updates rather than the hostname of the machine.
FQDN: testserver.abc123.internal
URL: thisserver.abc123.com
We already have everything setup so that the clients can reach thisserver.abc123.com but I need to create a certificate with this name without changing the server's hostname. We also don't wnat update their host files. Any ideas?
If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it as we're looking to start upgrading the agents on all servers ASAP.

What about putting the CSAMC in your DMZ and allowing those ports through your firewall?
The nice thing is it allows hosts to communicate with the MC no matter where they are.
You'd have to open up 80 to the MC for software updates but we haven't had any problems in 6 years with that setup.

Of course, my friend! There's a way to do it. If you download the Java IDE from this website, SunOne Community Edition version 4, you can accomplish that ( at least that's the way I've done them). This Java IDE creates a folder that is executable in Windows, it's called a JAR file (Java ARchive executable file), or run it on any operating system that is Java Enabled.
With SunOne, you can do it this way:
1) Click on File
2)Select New
3) Then select JAR Archive
4) In the wizard, follow the steps which tell you the java files that are needed to run the application (because sometimes a programs comprises more than one class)
5) Create a Manifest
If this doesn't work for you, find information about JAR Archive files on the Internet because this is the way to make executable programs in Java. Good Luck!!
