How do you retrieve a certificate from the browser(say firefox) cert store?

I want to retrieve certficate from the firefox certificate store and to use the same in jvm context to avoid the popup for certficate acceptance again and again( in case of reauthentication )..
can anybody help me..

Firefox stores its certificate in a file called cert8.db. On the Linux/UNIX environment, this file is in a subdirectory of your $HOME directory called .mozilla/. On Windows, it is typically in the c:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Random Hash Value>\ directory.
Before you load the keystore, I am assuming you have configured the SunPKCS11 JCE Provider in your java.security file, and have gotten an instance of the provider using the KeyStore.getInstance("PKCS11") call. You should only have one PKCS11 providrer in java.security for this to work.
While the configuration file for JDK6 has changed a little bit, the concept and capability has not. If you're having trouble with JDK6, I would recommend trying it out on JDK5 first and making sure it works on your machine, and then trying it with JDK6. The source code in the keystoreLoaderHelper.java file in the SKCL module of the StrongKey source distribution (www.strongkey.org) has all the code in it that shows how to load keys/certificates using the Firefox and the JKS keystores.

I 'lost' everything however I have been able to get some things back from the time capsule (airport) from previous backups. I can not find my photo's and they are the most important things I want back on my computer.
Can anyone help? I have tried various things but still can't find them.

If you did an Archive and Install, look for your "Previous System" folder and check for iPhoto in it.

Let's say, I have an Iphone 3GS and it was synced to my older pc (I know...) and it crashed and I can't retrieve my files on there. Try restoring the backup again. Sometimes it's successful the second time. You could also try restoring an older backup. iCloud will have your last 3 backups is you have sufficient storage space in your account.

I do not want to have to go through an intermediary step of messing with a pc.

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

In iTunes 11 how do you get Genius recommendations from the iTunes store. It would appear that I can only get Genius recommendations from my own library. This was easy in iTunes 10 and enabled me to find lots of good artists I had never heard of.

Basically it seams they got rid of the whole side bar concept of things to make it all more streamline, understandable but I know atleast for myself that genius sugestion for any song is how I found new artists and songs I never knew existed.
If you go to the Album the go to "In the Store" it will give you a recomendation for that album... not exaclty what you might be looking for but atleast its something, if anyone else has a way to get genius sugestions for individual songs I am all ears and would love to hear about it.

You don't. There is only one picture. if you delete it from Camera Roll then it will be gone. Just as a song is in your library and that exact same song is in a playlist, a pic is in the camera roll and that exact same photo can be accessed from a album that you make.
The pic is not moved to the album, the album is simply a playlist. the pic lives in the camera roll.

To remove an application from the Dock, simply drag it off of the Dock, or right-click the app in the Dock and choose Options > Remove from Dock. Note that opened apps will always show in the Dock

You don't. It's how things are done now, likely to accommodate those that have auto update turned on. IT's been said that the updates will just drop off after a period of time but time will tell on that.
