How do you send texts to more than 10 people with iMessage? Since upgrading to iOS5 I cant send to my 100 people as a group. The screen freezes. I have an iPhone 4.

I upgraded my wife iPhone 4 to iOS5. She was able to text to about a100 people at the same time. Now she can't. Of course, I was more eager to upgrade her phone than she was since she is skeptical of technology. I can't seem to undue to upgrade. How do I fix our current problem.

Fox, that does not work, because then you are blocked from sending any form of message to another Apple user. iMessage MUST be activated to text any other iOS device. And then Apple defaults by ALWAYS using iMessage between iOS devices.There is simply no way, within iOS 8, to send SMS only to another Apple user. Apple has made that impossible.
The SMS-only choice used to be on the same menu level as iMessage, but  now it is locked WITHIN iMessage, and is not available as a choice unless iMessage is activated. Then it is limited solely to being used if iMessage is not available.
I'm sure their argument is that they are saving their customers money because iMessage is free, but they are imposing an opportunity cost on 100 percent of their user base in the guise of saving that money. What they are really doing is entrapping faithful users such as myself further within the Apple ecosystem. If I hadn't already spent thousands of dollars on my iTunes library I might consider a Galaxy ... Samsung does not deserve to regain any momentum if they can't figure out how to exploit this.
Turning off iMessage does not prevent you from sending messages to other Apple users.  You can send an SMS to any iPhone without your own iMessage turned on, even if it is turned on on their iPhone.
The SMS-only option is: Turn off iMessage.  Literally.  That's it.

    How do you select and move more than one bookmark at a time?
    Shift+Click does not select multiple items that are next to one another in a list because the items open in firefox before this happens.

    Use the bookmarks library. You may use Shift +Click, and Ctrl + Click to create groupings of selected bookmarks to drag and drop.
    * one method of opening the bookmarks library is keyboard shortcut <br /> Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows)

    How come you can not use more than 126GB of a 1.5TB diskdrive with LabVIEW Real Time?
    This is only 8.3% of the available disk drive space!

    National Instrument's solution is either reformat you drive to less than 126GB or replace the drive with one less than that size.
    Please NI, tell me you are going to fix your LabVIEW Real Time soon, and that we won't have to wait for LabVIEW RT 9.2.1 in 2011 for this one to be fixed.
    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/90/Hard_drive_capacity_over_time.svg
    Drives as large as 126GB or more have been around since about mid 2002.  That's about 7 Years now and LabVIEW Real Time STILL can't use drives larger that 126GB!  Please NI.  Do something.
    We deserve fixes to the old versions of LabVIEW RT.  How about updates to LabVIEW RT.  Such as 7.0.2, 7.1.2, 7.6.2, 8.0.2, 8.2.2, 8.6.2.
    We don't need new features or versions of LabVIEW RT such as 9.0 until we have some of bugs fixed in the existing versions.

    NI is not making the Real Time OS in house. I do not remember which firm that is making it. Anyway you are allowed to use a hard drive that has been partitioned. And 126GB is some space is it not? I remember Bill Gates declared one time that 640Kb ram should be more than enough for any PC application also in the future

    The RealTime OS is an NI Product that is purchased from NI.
    NI may or may not outsource design, developement, or manufacturing of the products that it sells under its own Company name.
    For this reason I would be concerned if I were a PXI Embedded Controller designer/developer in the United States.
    Yes, 126GB is some space.  I see that there are now 2TB drives available.  126GB would be 6.3% of a new 2TB drive.  Should we all be happy with being able to use 6.3% of the available drive space.  Moore's Law seams to be alive and well.  Drives larger than 126GB have been readily available for 5 or 6 Years.  This should not be a surprise to NI.  Why don't they do something about it.
    Thanks for the trivia on Bill Gates.  I must have missed that one since I don't try to keep up with Microsoft.  I believe that he is a wonderful person and he and his family are doing wonders for the world in their "retirement".   The world needs more like him.
    What I do remember is Steve Jobs telling us that we would never need more that 128MB and that we would never to need to do anymore software development because everything was already in the "ToolBox".

    Unable to send pic from Camera Roll via Message. The screen freezes up.

    Try closing the Photos app, as well as Messages by double tapping the home button, long pressing on one of these apps, then touching the minus sign above these two apps.  It will also be a good idea to restart the phone.  Then test your message again.  Hope this helps.

  • Can't send a large text to more than 3 people, add and contacts disappear

    i'm on 4.2.1 when you try to forward a text message that fills up the screen, while adding more contacts the add button disappears it actually look like it scrolls down but you just cant get to it, also the names of the people you're forwarding too also disappear.
    if you want to replicate, type a new text message and fill the screen, then use the "+" button to add 2-3 names that fill up the "To:" space and you'll see that the add button and the last contact you add will disappear.

  • How do you send report to a file & a printer at the same time?

    I need to run a 10g form that will get the filename that the user wants to save the report as and also a printer that the user would like to print the report to at the same time. I've tried using the distribution option with an xml destination file, but I keep getting errors when try to use variables in the xml file. Anyone know how to do this?

    I'm not sure which variables with which you're having troubles, but the following distribution file format accomplishes what you requested here (ver 9.0.4.2 running on Windows 2003-YMMV), provided that the Report Server can see and has rights to:
    1) The specified printer.
    2) The specified destination directory.
    <destinations>
    <printer id="p1" name="\\myprintqueue\my_valid_priner_name">
    <include src="report"/>
    </printer>
    <file id="f1" name="\\MyFileserver\ASubdir\DestSubdir\MyFilename.PDF" format="pdf">
    <include src="report"/>
    </file>
    </destinations>

  • Sending text to more than one people at a time

    Hello
    I have a problem when I go to text someone. I sent out a text today to a bunch of people, I think like 8 people. I went through my contacts and added them to the recipients of my message. It sends the message out as a picture message for some reason (this is what my friends have told me). Is there anyway to stop that?
    Also once my friends go to respond to the message their response goes to all of the other people that I texted on top of me. Why does my phone do that?
    Please let me know what I can do and if you need more details on my issue.
    Thanks

    The iPhone4 by default, sends messages addressed to multiple recipients as MMS messages. When a message is addressed to multiple recipients, the message will be sent via MMS and the iPhone header will display, "New Group MMS".
    If you do not want the recipients to be able to "reply to all" you need to disable this function on your phone. Below I have provided the steps.
    From the home screen, select Settings.
    Select Messages.
    From Group Messaging, drag the switch left or right to enable / disable.
    Enabled when set to ON.
    ON
    Multi-recipient text messages will be converted to MMS messages. Recipients of these group messages with capable devices will be able to see all of the message recipients and "reply all".
    OFF
    Multi-recipient text messages will be sent as SMS messages. Message recipients will not be able to "reply all" nor will they be able to see a list of the message recipients.
    Hope this helps, please feel free to contact us back if you need more assistance.

  • How do you handle it when more than one signature is required on a form?

    We have a situation where we are trying to replace pen and paper where both the employee and their supervisor must sign off on a form before is comes to us.  Do you have a recomended way of accomplishing that?  Could the completion of the first form result in the creation of a pdf that would have a second degital signature?
    Thanks for any and all ideas!

  • How do you disable text cursor movement when scrolling horizontally with a tilt wheel or touchpad; or rather, how do you make these horizontal scrolling actions only scroll horizontally and nothing else?

    Frequently when I use a touchpad or tilt wheel mouse to scroll horizontally, the web page does not scroll at all. Instead, the text cursor moves left or right. If the text box is off-screen, the page will jump to it, losing the spot on the page I was reading. This happens way too often given the sensitivity of touchpads and tilt wheel mice.
    I'd like to just disable the cursor movement function of the horizontal scroll. I don't feel that it is useful and it actually hurts my web browsing experience. I do not want to disable horizontal scrolling though; I just want it to always scroll horizontally and do nothing else.

    You would make this a little easier if you posted a link to the page.
    Most of the jump seems to be some extra padding or margin between the tabs  when you rollover, but I am not able to find it.  Is there any other css that is governing this page? I did remove a couple of <p></p> set of tags you had  and it improved the jump, but it is still there.
    If the page is live, run it through the validator http://validator.w3.org/ , fix whatever errors it finds, if you still have the jump, post a link to the page and the issue might get found.

  • Since the recent update, my Text Messages no longer permit me to send messages to more than two people at a time. How do I resolve this issue?

    Since the most recent update, my IPhone 5c no longer permits me to send text messages to more that two people at a time. How can I resolve this to send text messages to more than two people in a group message.

    It would appear that I can send an SMS to multiple contacts, providing that it's not a forwarded message. This means that I have to start from scratcheach time, and then I can send it to over 30 recipients at a time. Not sure why though, and I'm not sure why the sign doesn't appear all of the time as an option for me to press. At other times, it is particially obscured by the curser/text box. This is obviously a glitch in the system, as it happens inconsistently.

  • How to send a text to more than 10 contacts using AT

    I'm using an iPhone 5S, IOS 7.0 on the AT&T network. I have unlimited texting, but when I attempt to send a group text to more than 10 users the phone will not allow me to enter any more contacts into the text. Is there a way around this? Current messaging settings are: iMessage-On, Send Read Receipts-Off, Send SMS-Off, Send & Received-only my cell phone number, MMS-On, Group Messaging-On

    This is a restriction built into the iPhone. No way to change that. You can look at a group texting app in the App store, but from what I have heard, they have had the restriction put on them in iOS 7 as well.

    iPhone at this time CANNOT send MMS at this time. Whether or not this will be remedied remains to be seen. A workaround is to email their SMS/MMS servers with the picture as an attachment.

    First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
