How does http mail server work?

can you suggest a site which has information regarding working of http mail server? When i check my mail through a browser at, say yahoo.com, is only http used or is IMAP or POP protocol also in picture, and if yes then at what stage of mail retrieval does the protocol change?

You do not mention what version of iMS you are talking about so I'll assume iMS 5.2 for my answer. Second I've no idea what yahoo.com uses, nor do I care.
When you do http://<yourmailstore>/ you are talking to a basic HTTP server. That server then gets your mail from the mail store and shows it to you. The methods by which the HTTP server gets the messages from the store is internal information and not available.
In large scale environments where more than a single mail store is used, then webmail proxies are deployed. The users speak HTTP to the proxies which in turn speak HTTP to the mail stores. The mail stores then use what I described above to get the users mailbox data and send it back to the proxy via HTTP which then sends it back to the client via HTTP.
iMS webmail does not use POP or IMAP in any way, those are completely different protocols that are based on the Internet standards. There are no Internet standards for Webmail, at least that I am aware of.

I am trying to manage my junk mail. I need a clear explanation how it works.
The mail I send to the junk mail folder does not get marked for future junk filtering. What am I missing?
I was told that addresses NOT in the Previous Recipients list would be tagged as junk until I marked them as not junk so I deleted all addresses (hundreds) that I want sent to junk. Now not only do I get some of the original undesired mail but some of my desired mail is going to junk and my undesired mail is not so I mark it as junk and I get a little filtering but not all the mail sent to the junk. Also, then I empty my junk mail folder, I have to start all over with sending the undesired mail to junk.
Can some one give a straight forward explanation of how I can manage my mail filtering? Is there a way to mark mail as spam like in Outlook? I believe that I have all my possible updates.

Hi Rick, as I understand it, Junk Mail filtering is not the best way to do it, yet it doesn't from the sound of it sounds like it's "learning from what you say.
It may be easier to set up Rules in Mail, for instance...
Mail>Preferences>Rules>Add Rule...

Might be a daft question, but how does "notify me" actually work in iPhone email app?
I get the principal but surely when you get a reply thats already noticed you?
Could someone advise me how it actually notifies and is it in addition to receiving the reply to the mail?

So i've tried to reach this and cant seem to find answers in plain english.... How does Business Catalyst really work?.. functionally.
1) I have a hosting service with godaddy and jumpline, I have a lot of space and do all of my client's websites through the space I have with those two plans, do they offer the business catalyst format? Just buy that platform with them or have it added?
2) I have CC, business catalyst "comes with" it.... how does that work? Am I given space on someone elses server somewhere or do I just have the ability to upload the BC software onto a server I have... in which case could it be uploaded to godaddy or jumpline?

It will import data object stored in memory under named fields to your custom data object fieldlist .
The table which it is stored is name stxfcontr under RELID (memory area) SF .
Cluster key (key of the entry) in that table is behind var l_fullname

4G wireless cell signals are done through Verizon. WiFi comes from places such as your home wireless network, or WiFi hotspots at places like Starbucks, restaurants, pubs, etc.
If you are asking about Verizon's wireless cell service, it's $20 a month for 1 gig of data, $30 a month for 2 gigs of data, or $50 a month for 5 gigs of data.

Try the following to fix the iTunes Can't Connect issue that you are having:

For a multithreaded server you will need a thread to listen and at least one thread per client. If the conversation is half duplex, one thread per client works very well, if it's full duplex you will find one thread to send and one to receive much easier to program.
I posted a Simple Socket Server that uses 1+2*clients threads.

I can happily alleviate the confusion! If you visit a store and the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus is available you'll receive the trade in value during the transaction. If the device is purchased online,via the phone or if the store is out of stock, you'll receive the gift card in mail.

Windows 7 (64 bit), BT Broadband. How does BTYahoo Mail synchronise with mail in LiveMail or Outlook? I ask because in my case incoming emails to Outlook (and previously to Windows Live Mail) are also recorded in the BT Yahoo Mail inbox. However the mail in the Sent box are not recorded on BTYahoo Mail. Neither are sub accounts mail in Inbox or Outbox in Outlook shown in Bt Yahoo Mail. Is this normal or do I have to change something to keep BT Yahoo Mail in step?

It sounds like you have your email set up as Pop. This only pulls emails down from the Inbox of the acct. It doesn't upload emails up to the server. That would need the acct to be set up on Outlook as IMAP. Unfortunately, I don't know the details for that, but one of the fine folk on here will be able to provide those for you. I'm not sure if yahoo has it's domain details set up so you can automatically set it up as Imap by letting outlook create an IMAP acct on there, never having tried it. If it does, it will just be a case of creating the email address again automatically, selecting IMAP rather than Pop when creating. You may also need to select IMAP as being allowed to be used within the settings on yahoo mail, but as I said other folk can provide a lot more cogent information with regard to the yahoo element than I can.
With regard to the sub-accounts showing on Outlook but not in the webmail, they would have their own webmail inboxes, which don't show when not logged into them. They would be showing on Outlook becuase the relevant email has been set up on there.
