How does ipad digital AV adaptor works? does it have a Analog to Digital conversion?

I wonder how the Digital AV adaptor works? I heard the ipad 30-pin connector does not have digital video out. Does it have an Analog to Digital converter inside the adaptor?

Yes..same thing here..I get a pop up saying This Accessory is not Suported...I click Ok and I get a 4x3 "mirror" mode on my TV. However when I play a movie it is in the proper aspect. Same goes for the SlingBox" app. I tested photos and they appear in the 4x3 ratio as well.
I only use the adapter for the occasional movie while staying in hotels so it's not a big deal to me that most of the items are in a 4x3 ratio.
I'm coming from an iPad 1 so mirroring wasn't an option so technically, I didn't even know what I was missing..not sure if the iPad 2 mirror function displays in 16x9 ( or whatever the native aspect is )

My apologies. Your post jogged my little grey cells to the point that I did a few experiments. In essence, you are right. My plug-ins do not work with 8-bit greyscale images. I like to deliberately shoot B&W and have a Wratten #12 minus-blue filter on the lens--as I used to do with film cameras.
The raw files ( Fujifilm's .RAF) were converted in Adobe CR by checking off "Convert to Grayscale" under the fourth tab. In the future, I will do the B&W conversion in Photoshop with either Nik or Topaz plug-ins.

When you plug in earphones, or anything in the audio output port, it should be reflected in SYSTEM PREFERENCES>SOUND. If not, try a PRAM reset.

Does the lightning av adaptor work with Netflix

I have seen some reviews for this adaptor asying it doesn't support some od-demand sites so I don't want to waste my money if my iPad with retina display will not support Netflix.

I use mine with Netflix and Amazon, when connected to TV all is well, when I connect to a projector, I must turn off the mirror option and only play video to projector. But it woerks wonderfully on either once setup, you can also change sound out options once connected by selecting the Control center (swipe up on center bottom of screen) I do this to send the sound to my bluetooth speaker system instead of TV.

Why do I never get an answer to any questions asked on this forum for years now? Why does Firefox Feedback not work? Why does Firefox Suggestion system not work? Why have I switched to Google Chrome (I can answer that last one).

I keep asking questions about problems and see them posted in the "support" forum and usually with a note about how many other users have this problem. There are never any answers or replies even though some of the number for others with the problem are huge.

I am using my ipad to transfer some mp3s over to my ipad. some go over, most do not. I even had trouble with videos syncing over. I am running version 6.13. I have plenty of space left but they just wont get on there. This is what happens. I take a video I have and make an mp3 out of it sometimes, sometimes its just plain mp3s. I do the conversion and it comes out fine but it goes to my computer itunes and not on my ipad. Does anyone know what I can try to get the mp3s onto my ipad? its driving me nuts not to be abke to do this. Thank you for any suggestions!!! PS I am using snow leopard as my OS on my mac

no they are already in mp3 format I just tried that home sharing today because I couldnt find any other reason why they werent syncing. here is an example of a sync I just tried. I made an mp4 concert into an mp3 it came out perfect on my computer.. then I tried to sync it to my ipad with no luck, other than it going on my computer, it did not show up anywhere on my ipad in any area of the music sections etc playlists, songs, albums etc. Its just not there but remains on my computer. thats why I tried the home share today to see if that would help. Either I am really missing something or there is something wrong with this ipad. There are a couple things you can try. The first thing I would recommend is resetting all settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. If that doesn't work, take a look at the article below for additional troubleshooting steps.

When it is viewed on the computer (Mac Pro, Mac Mini, via Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera) it is fine.
When it is viewed on the iPad (original, no camera), it is upside down.
It stays at the wrong orientation regardless how the iPad is rotated.
This does not happen with all photos on this site.

Cameras can embed orientation data into images so that display/editing software can automatically show them the right way up. The second (and third) images would both appear to have been rotated without amending the orientation data so that the iPad sees them as being "upside-down" and corrects. I downloaded the full size original of the second image and Picasa also displays the image upside-down. Under properties it gives Orientation: Rotated 100 Degrees.
Now we know why, there is the separate issue of whether or not the iPad should obey or ignore orientaion data for images rendered as part of a web page. It certainly leads to an inconsitency with other views of the same page.

What happens when you try to play it in the Videos app - is the Videos app frozen, does it play part way and then stop ... ?
If the Videos app appears to be frozen then try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have bought full access to it.

1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.
