How does OBI decide what column to display when drilling down on hierarchy

Hi All,
Lets say I have a logical table called Custom_Account which has Level 1 through 10, where 1 being the total level and 10 being the detail level. I have created a level based hierarchy.
On the total level, lets say I have 2 columns called Hier1_code and Hier1_name, and in the next level, I actually have four columns, Hier2_code, hier2_name, hier2_desc, hier2_details.
Now what configuration settings do I need to make in order for OBIEE to display all the fouce columns from level 2 when a user clicks on a column from level1?
Meaning, how do I define the columns that would be displayed upon drilling down from a parent level to child level.
Can someone please give some clear explanation, as I am confused here.
Thank you,
Peter.

Hi Peter,
After you have defined a hierarchy, you could open the properties of any level in the hierarchy and set the 'Use for Display checkbox' in the "Keys" tab for all the columns you would like to be displayed at this level.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Dhar

  • How does Apple decide 'what's hot' among iphone apps?

How does Apple decide what to list in its "what's hot" section of the iphone application store? I assume there is some hard coded logic behind that phrase.

Sorry, but Apple never discloses how they choose those sorts of features.

  • HT201250 How does backupd decide what counts as a weekly backup?

Time machine seems to have decided that all but the oldest of my daily backups over a month old are expired backups to be deleted.
I thought it would keep all weekly backups until the disk became full.
The backup disk is far from full, so how did it decide that none of the backups it deleted counted as a "weekly backup"?

About TM "Backup Drive is Full" Alert
TM only deletes older files if they have been deleted from the source and when TM needs space on the backup drive for a new incremental backup. Time Machine "thins" it's backups; hourly backups over 24 hours old, except the first of the day; those "daily" backups over 30 days old, except the first of the week. The weeklies are kept as long as there's room.
So, how long a backup file remains depends on how long it was on your Mac before being deleted, assuming you do at least one backup per day. If it was there for at least 24 hours, it will be kept for at least a month. If it was there for at least a week, it will be kept as long as there's room.
Note, that on a Time Capsule the sparsebundle grows in size as needed, but doesn't shrink. Thus, from the user's view of the TC it appears that no space has been freed, although there may be space in the sparsebundle.
Once TM has found it cannot free up enough space for a new backup it reports the disk is full. You can either erase the backup drive and start your backups anew or replace the drive with a larger drive.

  • Ipad: how does mail decide what the "reply to" address is?

I have a weird problem.  Any mail I send from my iPad has the "wrong" reply-to address.  That is, when I send email from one account, it applies a different account address in the "from" field.
Here is the problem (all addresses are fake)
I have two email accounts on my ipad:  [email protected],  [email protected]  I specify "[email protected]" as the Default Account in Mail, Contacts, Calendars
I also have an old account ([email protected]).  This account was my AppleID, etc but I want to get away from that account and move completely to gmail.  Again [email protected] is NOT registered (installed?  what is the term) on the iPad.
Now, I would expect that when I send email, that "[email protected]" would be the "From:" address and that this would also be the reply-to address.
Indeed, when I make a New Message, the "From:" field DOES have [email protected]  I can also tap the From: field and it gives my two choices: [email protected] and [email protected]  However, when it arrives at the recipient, it says "From [email protected]".
Here is the header in Thunderbird when I send a test email from iPad to [email protected] (when I receive it), the header is really strange (again, edited to obfuscate my email):
    From: Joe Blow <[email protected]>
    Mime-Version: 1.0 (1.0)
    Reply-To: [email protected]
    Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2013 13:57:10 -0600
    Delivered-To: [email protected]
    Message-ID: <-2305465076252779989@unknownmsgid>
    Subject: test of return address
    To: Joe Blow <[email protected]>
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
    Sent from my iPad
Now this is a strange header.  It is missing all kinds of fields, (such as "Received:, Retur Path, etc) but it is clear that the iPad sen the mail with incorrect From and Reply-To fields.  I dont even have [email protected] as an account on the iPad.
So the question is:  where did it get and how do I fix it?
    Any takers?
BTW, this is with iOS 5.1 (why, because every time I try to update, it says "An error occurred".

You don´t have to insert your e-mail adress in this field, if you don´t want to have the e-mail back to some other adress (that is the only purpose of this setting - just like in Outlook)
The views I present are my OWN and not of any organisation I may belong too.

  • How does InDesign decide what to hyperlink?

I am using CS5 and noticed that InDesign will automatically create a hyperlink for URL's and email addresses that I type text for. I did notice that if the URL does not have "www." it does not automatically create a hyperlink. If the "www." is all uppercase it also does not automatically create the hyperlink. Is there a setting anywhere to change that behavior? In 2011 including the "www" part really isn't needed.

I'm not 100% sure how Acrobat works with automatically creating hyperlinks but I will tell you this...if you need hyperlinks then you need to create them in InDesign before exporting to make sure they work. While Acrobat's default is to automatically read hyperlinks this feature can be turned off and, as you have discovered, is not exactly perfect.
For more on this you might want to pop over to the Acrobat forum and ask the gurus there.

  • How does Mail decide which outgoing SMTP server to use?

I have Mail setup with two accounts - one for home use and one for work.  Each has its own outgoing SMTP server.  My question: how does mail decide which outgoing server to use?  I don't want to mix work and home stuff.
Specifically, what happens in these three scenarios?
    1) I compose a new mail.  Does it always use the first account's outgoing SMTP server or does Mail look at the recipient's domain and base its decision on that?
    2) I reply to a work email.  Is Mail smart enough to look at my domain or the sender's to know to use the work outgoing SMTP server?
    3) I reply to home email.  Is Mail smart enough to look at my domain or the sender's to know to use the home outgoing SMTP server?
    Any information is much appreciated.
    Tom

    Hi Juergen,
Thanks for the suggestion - I had to "Customize" the viewable header to include the "From:" ("Von:") line to see who I was sending as.  As far as the "use this SMTP only" checkbox is concerned - they're checked on both my accounts - so I'm not sure how much of an impact that has.  To be honest, I thought this checkbox was meant to limit your outgoing mail (for that account) to this mail server only.  I thought that if it was not checked, Mail will try to send the mail via another SMTP server if the one for this account is not reachable.....after all, why else would Apple allow you to check both servers' "use this SMTP only" checkbox?
But this is good enough for me - now I can see who i'ms ending as.
    Thanks,
    tom

  • How does Leopard decide which Space to present at startup?

When starting up, Mac goes to Space 2. Would like it to go to Space 1. How does Mac decide which Space and how do I change it to Space 1? Thanks.

Do you have an app that is assigned to Space 2 that is also in Login Items (starts automatically upon login)?
If not... Maybe if you disabled Spaces, restarted at least once, and then enabled Spaces, it will go back to starting up on Space 1.
If you have an app that you always open in Space 1, assign it to Space 1 and also put it in Login Items.

  • How do I determine what URL to use when launching to display a RH10 .htm page?

    Hello,
We are implementing RoboHelp 10 for our online documentation and are sourcing it from Framemaker 11. I am trying to determine exactly what URL information the developers need to build for the launch to the specific IBM System i screen. Is anyone launching RoboHelp from a backend ERP system? If so, how did you determine what level to use when building the URL for that page?  Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

It depends on whether you just want to open the help at the default topic or open context sensitive topics.
Both methods are described in Calling Help on my site and there is more good information at http://www.wvanweelden.eu

  • How do I get a 0 to display when a count = 0 (zero)? (The cell is blank)...

(Running Business Objects Release 2 (Web-I), No other reporting modules)
How do I get a 0 to display when a count = 0 (zero)? (The cell is blank)...
In my reports, I count the number of tests of one of our products and another count on the number of failures.  I then use a simple formula to give me the defect rate percentage (DR%)
The universe objects used in the calculation are:
    Assembly Number (dimension)
    Human Sn (dimension)
    Test Code Description (dimension)
I created a variable (called [Count Assys]) that counts the number of Assemblies Tested:
    Formula: =Count([Assembly Number];All)
Another variable (called [Failed Count]) counts the number of failed tests:
Formula: =Count([Test Code Description];All) Where ([Test Code Description] <> "FUNCTIONAL TESTS PASSED")
NOTE: There is a "not equal to sign" between [Test Code Description] and "FUNCTIONAL..." above, but the forum is blanking it when I preview the message.  Not a big deal, but it may be important for someone looking to help...
I then have a third variable called [DR%] that divides [Failed Count] into the number of [Count Assys], which yields a number formatted as a percentage.
    Formula: =[Failed Count]/[Count Assys]
    The above works great!
The problem is: when I have a zero defect count (everything passes), the cell is blank, so the percentage variable remains blank.  I want a zero (0) to appear if nothing failed so the percentage appears as 0%
I've searched this forum completely and have tried several Properties changes and different variable strings (like =If([Failed Count]<1,0) and the cell stays blank and cannot come up with an answer.
This one seems simple to me, but everything I've tried has yielded zero <smile> results.
    Thanks,
    Charles

    Hi Charles,
Use [Dr%] Variable formula as =if(IsNull([Dr%]);0;[DR%])
Here IsNull returns the Boolean value of variable [Dr%] if its true then inserts 0 else the percentage values of failed tests based on the  total number of assembly tests performed.
I Hope this is what you want to achieve....
    Thanks....

  • How does system automatically picks up document type when you enter INV?

1.How does system automatically picks up document type when you enter Invoice?
2.What is Algorithms? Where is it used?
3.What is the use of Customer Ledger Inquiry?

The document type is hard coded by the system. Look at UDC table 00/DT for the document types in your system. Notice that some of those are marked as hard coded/reserved by JDE. You may wish to dowload the Accounts Receivable manual and read that to learn more about the document types.
Not sure what you mean by algorithm, unless you are looking for how the system determines what document type to assign on invoice entry.
These comments apply to accounts receivable and to JDE World, since you posted in the JDE World forum and are talking about the customer ledger inquiry. If you are in Enterprise One and asking about Accounts Payable, then this reply can be ignored (though Enterprise One works pretty similar to World in this respect).
What is the use of the Customer Ledger Inquiry. To view accounts receivable detail history for a given customer, viewing on line. Whomever works in the accounts receivable department will likely use the Customer Ledger Inquiry quite a bit.
    Hope this helps a bit.
