SInce you list your "student number", you are probably using the student edition.
You cannot build standalone executables with the student edition.
You need LabVIEW professional. If you only have LabVIEW full, you need to purchase the application builder seperately.

  • How does the LabVIEW adapter get VI type information?

    Hi, all,
As I've mentioned in another thread,we're trying to programmatically generate TestStand scripts.  Since we're using the LabVIEW adapter, we will need to get the type ingotmation of controls and indicators from some VIs that the scripts will use. (These are all kept in one library.)
I'd rather collect that type information from the VIs themselves than manually collect it or hardcode it.Then, if we add or modify the VIs, the new types will be generated.
The LabVIEW adapter must have the ability to do this.
Does anyone here know how it does?
    Thanks much,
    - Steve.

    SPM,
As you may have already noticed, in the LabVIEWModule class there is a Parameters property that contains the items connected to the VI's connector pane.  This parameters container is read-only, meaning that while you can get each individual parameter and modify it, you cannot add new parameters.
The parameters property will be created for you when you call Module.LoadPrototype.  This will read the VI's connector pane information from disk, and create the correct parameters property for you.  You can find an example of creating a LabVIEW step programmatically and setting its connector pane in this document:  Programmatically Create TestStand Sequence File with a Step that Calls a LabVIEW Code Module.
Please note that this example has not been updated since TestStand 3.0, and as such uses an obsolete method LabVIEWModule.LoadPrototype.  Please use Module.LoadPrototype instead.

  • How does the shared data get applied?

We have 2 mobile phones in a shared data business plan. One phone has 2.5gb of data allowance and mine has 6gb of data allowance. I am about to exceed my allowance for the month but the other phone still has 2gb of available allowance.
How do I avail myself of the allowance of the other phone? Is it automatically done for me?
    Thanks

Hi Swerv, if you are sharing the data on a business fleet plan then as long as the combined usage does not exceed the combined allowance, you have not gone over. So for example you use 1GB on one phone and 7GB on the other, you are within allowance.

  • How does the system Validyne pressure transducer -- Validyne CD280-Dual-- SCB-68-- PCI-6024E-- LABVIEW work and how can we calibrate the pressure transducer?

    Hello there,
I am completely new to the LABVIEW software.
I am learning an existing LABVIEW code of my pressure acquisition system (attached) which has the data path as following: Validyne pressure transducer --> Validyne CD280-Dual--> SCB-68--> PCI-6024E--> LABVIEW and I have some question:
    1. How does the complete system from transducer to the LABVIEW work? ie if we apply the pressure at the transducer, it will change the resistance of the transducer then ....?
    2. How can I find the equation which express the relationship between the pressure and the voltage at the oupt of the Validyne CD280-Dual in the LABVIEW?
    3. If I want to do the calibration for the transducer, what are steps?
    Thanks,

    Hello there,
I do not understand what subVIs you are refering to but I have tried to run the LABVIEW program using the files I attached and it worked fine (pls see the attached pressure plot).
As I mentined before, I am new to LABVIEW so maybe I do not know.

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry.  If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

  • How does the Daubechies-4 wavelet VI actually work?

    Hi,
I'm a student currently working on my final year project, of which one of the objectives are to detect peaks of ECG signals (R-peaks) using the Daubechies-4 wavelet transform VI in LabVIEW. I'm current using LabVIEW 2013 student edition (6 months trail), if that makes any difference.
I am quite confused about how the Daubechies-4 wavelet works:
    1) How many levels does it decompose the signal into?
    2) Is there a way to set the level of decomposition?
    3) Are filters already applied in the VI or do I actually need to design a filter myself?
    4) What is the main difference between a Db4 PtByPt and a normal Db4 transform in terms of LabVIEW?
    5) Finally, how does the VI actually superimpose the wavelet onto the signal? Does it take the entire signal into consideration or does it take each pulse into consideration when superimposing the wavelet?
Thanks in advance for the answers.
    Regards,
    Derren
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Derren,
Firstly, can you clarify the exact name of your 'Daubechies-4 wavelet transform VI' and in which pallette you find it in LabVIEW (i.e. which module / toolkit it is from)? It is also possible that the VI you mentioned is not from NI. For example, maybe you inherited that from your senior who was in the project last year.
Nevertheless, the closest match I can find is WA Discrete Wavelet Transform VI found under the Advanced Signal Processing toolkit. You can choose db04 in the wavelet terminal. This is a bit different to what you described as the VI can work for different kinds of wavelet, not just Daubechies type. Suppose you will use this, then the answer to your questions are:
    1) How many levels does it decompose the signal into?
    2) Is there a way to set the level of decomposition?
You can set this by wiring the value to the level terminal of the VI.
    3) Are filters already applied in the VI or do I actually need to design a filter myself?
Both options are possible. Some commonly used filters are included and you can choose this by wiring the wavelet terminal. You can design your own filter using Wavelet Design Express VI and wire the output to the analysis filters terminal of WA Discrete Wavelet Transform VI.
    4) What is the main difference between a Db4 PtByPt and a normal Db4 transform in terms of LabVIEW?
I can not find these VI you mentioned. Please clarify.
    5) Finally, how does the VI actually superimpose the wavelet onto the signal? Does it take the entire signal into consideration or does it take each pulse into consideration when superimposing the wavelet?
I am not sure if I understand this question correctly. You can open the WA Discrete Wavelet Transform VI to see how it works inside up to the decimation filtering, in which it is protected as a DLL. From what I see it takes the entire signal (modified with the chosen extension) for this main process.
As a last note, your LabVIEW Student Edition does not include Advanced Signal Processing toolkit, hence you will not find above VIs I mentioned. Try checking with your school if they have purchased Academic license of LabVIEW, which usually includes the toolkit.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Why does the folder "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements" open automatically when I start my PC?

Why does the folder "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements" open automatically when I start my PC? How do I adjust settings to stop this from happening?

    Hi,
This folder is probably treated as a program to run at startup.
So you will have to look at the places where such programs are referenced.
For instance, you may have a shortcut to that folder in your Start Menu > Startup.
Or it may be in the Registry.
Click on Start >  Execute, the type msconfig and click OK.
This will show you in the Startup tab all the programs launched at startup.

  • How does the iMac DC 1.83 compare...

How does the iMac DC 1.83 compare to the iMac G5 2.1?
    In real world speed.
In real world features. ie: video frame rate, etc...
Any REAL hardware problems pop up yet.
    Things like that.
I an most likely to get one soon, and would like to know.
    Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I hope that others reply also so we can see how this new computer is next to the two G5 versions it is replacing in a real world way.
I am happy that the DC 1.83 is no sloth when going toe to toe with the G5 version.
Did you port over your software from the older system, and run the programs to see how things ran, or freash install them all?
    Again, thanks

  • How does the iPod organize content?

When I manually add content to my video iPod, how does the iPod know where to put it? Does it go into Movies, Music, TV shows, podcasts, etc? Does it rely on the mp3 id tags??? If yes, can I force a movie to go into the music folder my simply changing mp3 id3 tags?
30G video ipod   Windows XP Pro

    1 I by its tag
2 depends on the files tag
3 No...mp4 and m4a files have diffrent tags then mp3s
In iTunes 6.0.5 if you change the "VIdeo Kind" it will sort correctly. Just right click file, and in the options tab change the setting under "VIdeo Kind".
Besides iTunes if you want to change a tag you have to use a mp4/m4a tag editor program like "YAMB ver 2 preview" it can change your tags and much more and its free http://yamb.unite-video.com/
you can try YAMB ver 1.6 but I don't think it works very well with tags.

  • How does the CBO calculate the selectivity for range predicates on ROWID ?

    Hi all,
I'm wondering how the CBO estimate the selectivity for range predicates based on ROWID columns.
For example, for the following query the CBO estimates there's going to be 35004 rows returned instead of 7:

tRFC internals - how does the async processing happen?
    Dear all,
With the document "[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f078394a-4469-2910-c4bf-853c75674694|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f078394a-4469-2910-c4bf-853c75674694]" there is an excellent place to read about SAP RFCs (remote function calls).
Pages 94 to 96 describe in detail how tFRC (transactional RFC) works.
However, there is still something unclear for me with the following sentence on page 94:
"The truly exciting part happens when the program
issues a COMMIT WORK command. The recorded calls
are executed asynchronously in a special set of tRFC
processing sessions created for each transaction ID..."
Maybe someone can answer the following questions:
    a) what does exactly trigger and execute the tRFC?
    b) is it the ABAP runtime system itself, spawning the additional task in DIA?
    c) if multiple tRFC LUWs have been recorded, they are all executed in parallel by this procedure!?
    d) does the execution try to utilize all available DIA processes?
    e) how do the rdisp/rfc_... parameter come into the game?
are they evaluated? We have seen all DIA occupied by the tRFCs executed!
    Best regards,
    Peter
P.S.: if someone has answers to these ones, more related to error handling, would be great as well
    f) the jobs ARFC*, do they also use parallel processing?
or is every ARFC* job responsible only for one single LUW?
(note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/366807 did not give a perfect answer)
    g) and how does the report RSARFCEX work compared to immediate execution?

    That's the problem, it won't.
    internal static string GetAvailabilityGroupFromConnection(SPDatabase db)
    if (!UsesAvailabilityConnection(db))

This piece of code looks at the SPDatabase's connection string (the SQL alias, for example) and executes a T-SQL query looking for that name within SQL Server. Since the SQL alias does not exist within the SQL Server's configuration, it will return a null
value, and you won't be able to set up the AG config using the AG cmdlets.
Also, since mobility exists by the very nature of using an AG Listener, using a SQL Alias is redundant.

  • How does the MDKP table gets updates

    Dear PP Guru's,
I am new to SAP PP,
We have a query that how does the MDKP table gets updates,
Some time If we create new material by coping the material which is showing in table MDKP,
But new material is not showing in table MDKP,
Based on table MDKP we are fetching some data, due to above problem we are not able to fetch the data for some materials,
Please suggest what could be the reason,
Any help will be highly appreciated,
    Thanks in advance,
    Sachin.

    Thanks Thaila,
I have checked the same by doing MRP through MD02 & the entry is getting update in MDKP,
But for some of our materials MRP (MD02) is done earlier, but these materials are not showing in MDKP,
Please suggest, when the entries in MDKP are removed, are there any conditions for removing the entries from MDKP.
please pour some light on the issue,
    Thanks once again,
    Sachin.

  • How does the Concurrent Access License (CAL) work.

Description from Google: How does the Concurrent Access License (CAL) work? Xcelsius Engage Server CALs allow for concurrent live data updates inside Xcelsius dashboards. Every time an end-user triggers a Web service inside an Xcelsius dashboard to retrieve live data, a CAL is consumed for a period of 5 minutes. For that period, in a five CAL deployment for example, there will be only four CALs left for consumption. A five CAL deployment could support up to 25 users and additional CALs can be added to support a larger deployment.
    My question is as follows:
How a five CAL deployment could support up to 25 users and what does it mean. In the first line it is saying that each CAL for a web service is consumed for a period of 5 minutes and how come it can support 25 users concurrently. Did it mean 25 web service connections inside a swf flash file or 25 different users to access a single web service through swf flash.

The "Set cost controls" concurrent program is used in R12 to mass update the cost control fields on item costs.
The cost control region is found by going to Cost management >Item costs > Item Costs
The concurrent program lets you specify which items /costs should be updated by using various parameters such as cost type, item range, category range etc.
And you can specify the source for the new cost control data and the new value for the fields.
    Hope this answers your question,
