How get my name NOT to appear on top bar on new OS for MacBook?

My name appears in the top right of my screen on the bar. This happened when I updated to 10.7.5, I dont want it there. help?

if you go into the users & groups screen under 'login options' there should be a check box for 'show fast user switching menu'. you can uncheck it or change it to an icon so it doesn't display the whole name.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

Why is 'Get track names' not available with my iTunes purchase?

I have just purchased a song from the iTunes store and it has been downloaded into my music folder. All is well so far. However, when i create a playlist and add the new song along with others from my music folder so that i can burn them to a CD the track name is not shown on the purchased track (all the others, yes but not the new one). If i look at 'get info' all of the information is shown but when i try to 'get the track name' i am told that iTunes can only get track names for tracks imported from iTunes...which is exactly where i got it from! What's going wrong. Why can't i get this track name? Any suggestions??? D/.

Thanks very much for your reply. Although it was very good at explaining how the system works it doesn’t really help me to solve the problem.
I rip all my CD’s into iTunes and then make a copy of them to play in my car. It saves getting the originals lost or damaged and it also means that when I play them on my car audio system the track details are displayed; which is good.
With the disc I am trying to burn now most of the tracks were already ripped into iTunes and when interrogated they all display the track name, with the exception of the track I bought via iTunes store yesterday which although it shows the track info it does not show the track names. All I get is this message:
So, is there any other way I can import this track into my library so that when I add it to my playlist and burn to a CD it will show the track name? This is most of what is shown in track info:
I would say that when I look at the track in my music folder on my pc it is showing as an mp3 (MPEG layer 3 audio) file if this helps.

How can i get the names of the controls inside a class private data?
I am using Actor Framework and trying to create a method tha will be executed when launch the actor. This method need a list o all the control names inside the class data to search for the initial value inside a configuration file (config.ini), the key on the configuration file will be the name of the control.

You are already making the overriding method just because you have to write to the Bundle By Name. And then how are you going to handle all of the data types the keys could be. You are making things more difficult than it should be for really very little benefit.

How come iPad will not let me turn on automatic d/l's for Music/Books

I am trying to turn on Automatic Downloads for Music and Books on my iPad in iOS5.
It keeps coming up with following error.
'This device is already associated with Apple ID'.
It does allow me to turn automatic downloads for Apps.
So at this point the apps are working using the cloud, but music and books are not.
How do I get rid of the error.
When I did purchase new music on my Mac, the iPad did pop up msg saying I d/l'd song and that I should turn on 'Automatic Downloads' for Music. But when I try to turn on the error above appears.
How to fix this?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I think this is something to do with having more than one Apple ID and differing devices, I have one for my Apple Store activity and the rest are associated to my me.com address. I have the same problem on my Ipad 2 as I can't switch on Book sync and it comes up with the same error as you're having.
I did find this after searching around but I'm no more the wiser why this would be happening.

It depends on what account the notes are associated with. If they are stored on your email account, as opposed to the iPad's notes 'account', then they should appear when you set up your email account on your new iPad (notes can appear either in the Notes app or as a folder in Mail depending on what you've set the account's properties to be in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars).
If they are not linked to your email account then you can either backup the first iPad and restore the second iPad from that backup (you can't backup/restore just notes), or you can email them to yourself from your first iPad

Personas or Lightweight Themes are the ones that just put a background on the toolbars.
You can look for the real (original style) themes here:

Does anyone know a way to make the Network name appear on the top bar. I have a split network in my house and would like to see which one I'm connected to at all times.

No way to do that, you will need to go into the settings and look at the Wi-Fi connection.

How do I get iPhone 4S notes to appear in Outlook

With IOS 5 all iphone notes magically synced with Outlook. With IOS 6 I get three options for my Notes to have a 'default account' (why does it need an account at all? It's a NOTE). But playing the game, my options are On My Iphone (where else?! It's where I make the notes), my gmail account (why is that one selected? I have many email addresses, but this isn't one that I can see in Outlook, nor is it one I want to), and something called iCloud (which I guess is where all my data is being poured over by those nice people at Apple who only have my best interests at heart). My setting in iCloud include some mysterious email addresses that I never have any intention of ever using - and which are irelevant as far as I can see to Outlook.
So how do Notes that are apparently syncing to somewhere in iCloud appear again in Outlook. And how do Outlook notes appear on my iPhone (which by the way is IOS 6.1.1, not 6.0.2 the only option offered here)

I've just discovered that Outlook doesn't sync with iCloud and that Apple are blaming Microsoft. BUT IOS 5 did sync notes with Outlook. Why has Apple removed this from IOS 6?

My XML document has this:

So the name of this document's type is "Users", i.e. it is a Users document. However, I cannot figure out how to get that during parsing! I have set the following (and implemented all the correct interfaces):

     pa.setEntityResolver( userHandler );
     pa.setErrorHandler( userHandler );My userHandler object is of class: XMLUserHandler (I made it up) that extends DefaultHandler and implements:
DTDHandler, EntityResolver, ErrorHandler, ContentHandler
and overrides all the nec. methods.
What am I missing? how do I get it to return "Users" from:

or if it was:

how can I get it to return "MyDumbName"?

For anyone wondering, the answer is to use LexicalHandler. However, they made it "hidden" in the sense that setting this property is not as easy as setting the ContentHandler, for example. Also, not every implementation has to recognize the LexicalHandler. You do it this way:
//MY CLASS THAT IMPLEMENTS LexicalHandler INTERFACE
MyLexicalHandler myHandler = new MyLexicalHandler();
myXMLReader.setProperty( "http://xml.org/sax/properties/lexical-handler", myHandler );then just call "parse()" and it will automatically call your lexical handler, assuming it implements that.
The main method in LexicalHandler here (i.e. the one that handles what I was looking for) is:
public void startDTD(String name, String publicId, String systemId) throws SAXException

After iPod Update - how long does "do not disconnect" appear?

I've just updated my older iPod (20GB, iPod version 3.02
Model No. M9282LL) using updater 2006-03-23, and the "Do Not Disconnect" notice has appeared, and stayed for about an hour so far. Can I assume the updater is working it's way through the 1,500 song library, and that it may take a while longer? Or... have I broken the thing?
(I just completed an upgrade to Tiger from 10.3.9; iPod worked/connected fine before the upgrade, but not since then. Mounted on desktop okay, and launched iTunes, but never appeared in iTunes. The updater was an attempt to fix this problem, although I first downgraded iTunes to version 6.05, to no avail.)

To close the loop: I wound up having to "restore" (using the latest iPod updater) this iPod. Problem solved.
