How is graphics output generally possible in a vm

Hi there!
I've been using Java for so many years without worrying much about the virtual machine concept behind it but recently it produced more and more interest for me. I think I understand how an virtual machine works but there's one thing I would like to know - It's a topic I couldn't find any explanation for on google or elsewhere: How is it possible to produce Graphics output for a VM? In my opinion there are only three possibilities:
-The JVM specification must define certain operations to facilitate Graphics output (and the like, Networking, etc.) - I browsed through the specs but couldn't find any point like that
or
-Graphics output is left totally to the implementation of the VM and the Class library - Which somehow seems strange to me because this would mean two Classes relying on different Graphics output implementations could never interoperate.

-I am totally on the wrong track
I would greatly appreciate any links and reading suggestions in general about this topic (or a short explanation in this thread ;) !

Native methods.
More specifically, GUI calls are implemented
by the current toolkit (java.awt.Toolkit), which may be
extended on different platform (Windows,Linux,Mac...) by
different "look and feel" implementations.
Those implementations ultimately make native method calls.
Google on "look and feel" and "Swing",
and you should see lots and lots of articles about it.

I have a table of detailed polygons (100+ vertices) and I want to get generalized version of these polygons.
For example, assume I have a polygon with 100 vertices. Distance between vertex n and n+1 is 1.0.
I want to get geometry (generalized polygon, line or point) where distance between vertex n and n+1 is 10.0 or more (I want vertices to be considered as one vertex if distance between them is less then 10.0).
Is it possible to create generalized version of polygons on the fly?

Scenario A:
If all of your polygons have no interaction among them (No polygon shares any boundary with any other ones).
In this case you can use the sdo_util.simplify in 10g to reduce the vertices in your polygons which returns new polygon geometries on the fly.
If you found that simplify is not doing exactly what you want, you can always roll out your own implementation using PL/SQL or the new SDOAPI JGeoemtry class in Java. Both will give you complete access to the coordinate arrays in a polygon and update them back to the database after you have simplified them in your code.
Scenario B:
If your polygons share boundaries, then the above methods will not work since the simplification process may not preserve the topology among your polygons. What you can do then is to use the Java topo package to create a new topology by adding all of your polygons to to an empty topology (which you first create in the database and then load into memory using oracle.spatial.topo.TopoMap). Once you have a topology built in the memory, you can use methods such as oracle.spatial.topo.TopoMap.changeEdgeCoords() to simplify the edges of your polygons. You can then recreate the simplified polygons from the topology. This is just a rough guide; for more details you need to check out the java doc for the various packages mentioned above which are shipped with 10g spatial.

How does flash output vector input?

I'm somewhat of a noob here, so please forgive my ignorance. I tried to google the answer to my questions, but probably not using the right terms.
So my questions are these:
- Is there any advantage to using vector elements in flash projects, or do they just get rasterized in the swf creation process?
- If you use vector instead of raster art, can you scale your swf infinitely large (theoretically) without degradation?
- Will vector art result in a smaller swf size? Will it take less processing power to play?

1. Vector graphics are generally the best option you have in a flash movie and keep your swf very low in file size thus faster loading in browser. They do not get rasterized when published into a swf file.
2. Yes, vector graphics can be scaled infinitely without degradation as they are not resolution dependent.
3. Generally file sizes of swf are low when using simple vector graphics but it really depends on the complexity of the vector graphics. Flash uses mathematical equations of lines and curves to reconstruct the graphic as it is rescaled. So size and processing speed would largely depend on how complex your vector graphics are made. If you have graphics with alot of curves, corners, lines, etc, your file size will increase as you need more bytes for functions ( f(x) ) to reconstruct the graphic, consequently, more processing time/power is required. There are times raster (bitmap) graphics are a better alternative over vector graphics and there are times when you it is better to convert your bitmap graphic to vector (Modify -> Trace Bitmap) when it only uses a few colors and curves/corners. You will need to experiment and find which works better for you.

Please use T-Code VF31,output from Billing
under Message Data select the output type that you need, enter the transmission medium as print and select processing mode as Repeat processing.
And in billing data mention the correct billing document for which you want repeat output.

How can I output up to 7 tracks simultaneously?

Hello esteemed GB community.
I have to create a little effect for an upcoming party. For this I need to output the following:
- at least 4 separate audio channels (stereo front and stereo rear)
- one mono combination of these four tracks (to drive a Light organ gizmo - makes the light flicker with the audio)
- and finally one separate track on which I will put pulses to trigger a relay for a fog machine.
Setting up these tracks in GB should be fairly straigth forward (although my GB experience is very limited I've done a fair amount of audio mixing in FCP - which I imagine is similar) but my question is, how can I output all these tracks so I can feed them to their respective recipients? This means to two stereo setups for audio (or would it be easier to do 5.1 Dolby - $$$ ?) and then to the light organ and to the relay trigger for the fogger.
I did a search for multitrack but most answers I found dealt mainly with input, not output. I imagine this will require some kinid of an external box, right?
Budget for this box is very limited, hopefully less than $200. Quality does not have to be very high although a good bass response will be important for the effect.

I was just thinking, in the worst case scenario, I could just create the 6 audio tracks in GB, then output three stereo mp3 files (stereo front, stereo rear, 2 control tracks), dump each on a separate cheap mp3 player and get a controller that can remote start all of them at the same time...
Does anyone know of such a cheap mp3 player that can be remote started via a wire connection to a relay? Is there another forum that deals with this kind of issue?

How can I define the possible entries for "invoicing process" at fkkinv_ma?

At the transaction code fkkinv_ma, I fill in the fields "Date ID" and "Identification" but I have a problem with the field of "Invoicing Process". When I psh theF4 button, there comes no search help. What should I do? Should I define the possible entries first? If I should, how can I define the possible entries for "invoicing process"? How is the customization done?

and this part is where i calculate the average, but i only get the average for each department, and from here i want to get the max of the average. how can i do that?

1) What is it doing instead?
