How long does it take to upload new BlackBerry software onto your phone?

I just got my new blackberr curve 9300 because my first one broke only one year into my contract, and the software that came on the phone was an older version - so the phone itself prompted me to download the new software to the phone. While I was doing this, my internet went out for a split second and now the progress bar hasn't moved at all so I'm scared I messed it up and my phone isn't usable.
Basically, should it say that it has been "UPLOADING RAM IMAGE" for half an hour or more? Is this usually a long process?

If its still in the uploading RAM image stage, that means its still safe to unplug it and go back from the beginning.

This question was a good question, so I decide to make the ultimate test. I have a lot of computers standing here around, and remembered that on one of them was have already Archlinux installation. I was right, when I booted, the system check said me, that the system was 253 days not checked anymore. I got so excited that I forgot to check was it one of my 0.7.2 Gimmick or 0.8 Voodoo installations.

After reboot the system loads all new applications with out any problem. Later I replaced the intel-video driver "xf86-video-i810 1.7.4-6" with the driver xf86-video-intel 2.2.0-2. No problems at all.

It's so "delicate" and temperamental compared to the no-nonsense, straightforward approach of Arch. If one little thing is off, the entire system has a hissy-fit and won't do anything until you hunt the internet high and low searching for a solution, encountering all the debian hawks along the way who are ready to rip your head off at the first suggestion that debian isn't directly from god and could have a problem. Imo, Arch is the best linx distro hands down. Nothing else even comes close.

There are three major portions involved in a restore:
1. Downloading the latest copy of iOS to your Mac for installation on the iPhone.
2. Installing the software from your Mac onto the iPhone.
3. Restoring all the contents of your iPhone (except iOS, which was done in the above step).
Step 1 will depend on your Mac's download speed. We are talking about downloading more than 1GB.
Step 2 should take about 10 minutes or less.
Step 3 will depend on how much personal stuff (e.g., apps, photos, music) you had on your iPhone. It might take minutes, or an hour or more.

Hi,
I found the answer to this question after doing two podcasts.
It takes about week and half to be fully listed. When you first submit you receive an automated email. Emailed to the email address of your podcast feed. Then your podcast page is created for itune store and you receive another email that it's approved. You should receive this email sometimes two days after you received the first but it still won't be browse able until another few weeks(ie. listed in category). In the mean time don't remove your podcast feed file from your hosting account and don't make changes which will change the link to the feed you submitted.
The only other part I couldn't figure out was why podcasts episodes don't come up when keywords from episode sections of podcast feed are typed in itune search box.

Depends how fast your internet it and the size of the update - used to take 10-15 mins for me on around 4 Mbps but I could sear some updates have been faster recently so maybe they've been incremental update not the whole software package.

My cable is out, but there's a new episode of a show I want to watch tonight at 7pm. How long does it usually take for new episodes to appear on the Itunes store?

It is usually 24-48 hours, but please keep in mind that the store is at the mercy of the networks to provide the files for distribution. If there is any sort of hang-up at the network, the episode will not be delivered to the store in the expected timeframe.

Apple Maps - How long does it take for a new entry to be approved?

Like many other small business, my listing is missing in the new Apple Maps app and customers are having difficulty in finding me on their iphones.

It's almost a week now and my business still does not appear when searching Apple Maps. My Yelp listing is there, but nothing in Apple Maps.
Has anyone had any luck adding their business to Apple Maps? How long did it take to appear after you submitted a report?
I guess there must be a huge backlog at Apple. Would be nice if the process was more transparent - e.g. details of the approval process would help.

I'll take a look. This is pure speculation - I am guessing that the department store updated because there were enough signals from other data sources that confirmed your change. For example, I believe Apple's primary source of business listings data in Switzerland is TomTom. If you search for Globus in Zurich in TomTom at https://mycompany.places.tomtom.com/ there is a result for the address Theaterstrasse 12 zurich - http://places.tomtom.com/de_ch/detail/globus/zurich/63747953026467150.
So perhaps Apple was getting signals from other data sources that conflicted with TomTom and signaled "EPA". And your update overrode all of the other signals because it matched the TomTom data. BTW, not sure this means anything, but there are two listings for this business in TomTom. One of them links to the wrong website I think https://www.google.com/search?oq=site%3Atomtom.com+Theaterstrasse+12+zurich&q=si te%3Atomtom.com+Theaterstrasse+12+zurich&pws=0
Of course, it could have been any number of other screw-ups as well
You may want to search all of the known data suppliers and Google for queries like "epa Theaterstrasse 12 zurich" to try to find the out of date data sources. If you find any let us know, as this will be a key "paper trail" to figuring out how Apple gets some of it's data.

HELP!!! how long does it take for a "request" box to reach your home???

my iPod mini just died and i requested a repair online, and a box of some sort is supposed to be shipped to me by Apple to put my mini in and ship it to them for repair. I've only waited 1 day, but how long does the "box" take to reach my Minneapolis, MN home?

I can't tell you how long it takes, but I can tell you that I requested service last Saturday (11/12) and I have not received the box yet. I'm hoping I get it before thanksgiving.

Under order status, it says "Processing".
I was wondering how long it would take before the order goes through? Or the status atleast changes from "Processing" to "Shipping" or something...

Yes I'm using Logic Studio on Lion right now. It all works fine in full 64bit Kernal and application mode. Although, none of my 3rd part plugins work. And my Novation 25SL MKII only works as a midi keyboard, its automap software does not work in Lion(yet).
I was also going to purchase Komplet 7 and NI Maschine this weekend. But could not, as niether work in Lion yet either.
So, if I was you, I would stick to Snow Leopard, until all the other software, hardwar and plugins are brought up to date to support Lion in 64bit mode.

How long does it take to upload photos to iCloud library

I have just purchased additional memory in iCloud to upload my photos - previously stored in Aperture - and now in Photos. However the [rpgress message has been 'updating' for over a day now. There are around 10,000 images. Should this be taking so long? There is no indication on how far it has got.

Your book may contain an unprintable, corrupted image. Have you checked the preview of the book, if everything can be rendered correctly?
