How long is a recent list stores in an iPhone in messages? I deleted a contact almost a year ago and it still comes up as a name and number and when you click on the I button, it says "delete from recent list"
Hardly a recent number
Yeah that info will certainly carry over form the backup, but once you delete it from recents, it shouldn't show up anymore.

Mine took about an hour or so but it mostly depends on your modem and processor speeds. You can check the progress by clicking your iphone on the left and then checking the download progress. As long as that is moving I would just leave it and wait but don't let your computer shut down.

this message popup?I don't have a solution to this problem. However, it does occur and it is annoying. I am testing our application on 4 client machines. On three of them, it NEVER asks for the floppy disk. On the remaining one, it ALWAYS asks. I have looked on the computers and cannot find any configuration differences (in fact, these machines are kept in a "closed environment", and therefore, they are configured, by default, exactly the same).
Does anyone have any thoughts? -
I purchased a song almost two years ago and the song is no longer present in my library, but it is listed on itunes store as purchased.... How do I get this song back?
@caragam, if the songs are no longer in your purchase history it means either they have been hidden or the original items are no longer available for sale on the iTunes Store or you are logged into the store with a different Apple ID.
To see if they have been hidden in iTunes pull down Store > View my AppleID. Enter your password when prompted. In the middle of the screen, click "view hidden purchases." See if the purchased items are here. If they are unhide them and go back to your purchase history and re-download them.
If the purchases are not hidden and you do not have a backup then the songs are gone and there is no way to recover them. This is why we keep backups.
If you used a different Apple ID to purchase the song, log out of the store and log in with the appropriate Apple ID and download the song. Be aware this could trigger a 90 day lock out of the other store account so make sure you really, really want that song. -

I was wondering how long apple is going to store my calander in iCloud.
I was wondering this because Photostream is deleting the photo's after 30 days from iCloud.
Can anybody help me, because otherwise i'm not going to use iCloud for my calander.

CihanYour calendar is stored for as long as you want it to be. There is no time limit like for PhotoStream.

The App store app is a built in app and cannot be deleted. Try:
Check settings to see if restrictions are turned on and/or if Installing apps is turned off (Settings app > General > Restrictions)
Check all of your home screen (by swiping left to right), and folders to see if was inserted into one. (you can also use Spotlight search which will tell you if it is in a folder. Swipe down on the Home screen and type in "app Store") -

That depends on the level of charge...if it is fully discharged it could take two-three hours. If only partially discharged, an hour. But that is only guessing as it depends heavily on the charge level when you start charging.

I have sent my i phone through royal mail on 8th February 2013 but still it is not deliver to apple. I used the empty box sent by apple to me to sent my i phone to them. Can any one advice me how long it can take to get back my iphone from repair?

If Apple has not received your phone, obviously it can't even be evaluated for warranty purposes. Have you tried calling AppleCare to verify whether they have received the phone or not? -

I bought my iPhone 5 almost an year ago and since the last 2 weeks my battery lasts about 2 hours or less, while before it lastre a whole day. Can anybody tell me why is this happening or how can i solve my problem, please? Thank you.
You can follow these steps to save battery.
1. Turn on Auto-Brightness - The iPhone has an ambient light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the light around it (darker in dark places, brighter when there's more ambient light) to both save battery and make it easier to see. Turn Auto-Brightness on and you’ll save battery because your screen will need to use less power in dark places.
Find it in the Settings app -> Brightness & Wallpaper -> Auto-Brightness On
2. Reduce Screen Brightness -the brighter the default setting for the screen, the more battery it requires. Keep the screen dimmer to conserve more of your battery.

3. Stop Motion (iOS 7) -It's really cool, but it also drains battery. You may want to leave it on to enjoy the effect, but if not, turn it off this way:
Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion -> move slider to green/on
4. Turn Bluetooth Off- Turn off Bluetooth except when you’re using it to squeeze more juice from your battery.
Find it in Settings -> Bluetooth -> Move Slider to Off
5. Turn Off Location Services -
This allows your phone to know where you are and give you exact driving directions, give that information to apps that help you find restaurants, and more. But, like any service that sends data over a network, it needs battery power to work. If you’re not using Location Services, and don’t plan to right away, turn them off and save some power.
Find it in Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> Slide to Off
6. Don't Automatically Update Apps (iOS 7)-
If you've got iOS 7, you can forget needing to update your apps by hand. There's now a feature that automatically updates them for you when new versions are released. Convenient, but also a drain on your battery. To only update apps when you want to, and thus manage your battery better:
Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Updates -> move slider to off/white
7. Auto-Lock Sooner -
You can set your iPhone to automatically go to sleep – a feature known as Auto-Lock - after a certain amount of time. The sooner it sleeps, the less power is used to run the screen or other services. Try setting Auto-Lock to 1 or 2 minutes.
Find it in Settings -> General -> Auto-Lock -> Tap your Preference
Few more things that would consume battery even when not is use are the applications that run in background.
Follow the below steps to quit all running applications.
1) Double tap on the home button on the iPhone ( this will display all apps that are running in the back ground).
2) Just click on the tiny red X to quit application ( if iPhone is running on iOS 6 and below) else just swipe yhour finger over the running app upwards to quit ( if running on iOS7). -
My husband gave me his iPod touch, even after resetting all settings, and even though I have a user name and password, whenever I need to update apps it shows his previous user name, and is asking for his password. How do I fix that?

There is more than one way to access the Apps Store and the iTunes store. One is via iTunes on your computer, and the other is via the apps on your iPod.
Just because you are logged in on your computer does not mean you are logged in on your iPod.
The reason your husband's user name comes up is because he was the last one to log on. You can change that by going to Settings>Store. Tap the Apple ID, Tap Sign Out, Tap Sign In, Tap Use Existing Appel ID, enter your e-mail address and Apple ID password, and tap OK.
