How manage XML files

HI,
i am working in a big game ,for each section of this i need to load three or four XML files.
can i store this XML files once it loaded ? this method will effect server memory and speed..?
how manage xml files ( good oops methods)..?

load each xml file once. use different xml instances for each xml file. you can reference you xml instances any time after loading is complete.

• Solution Manager XML file

Hi Everyone.
This is a brand new implementation. The implementation consists of ERP 6 EHP5 and SolMan 7.1.
I was able to install the SolMan and completed initial and Basic configuration. I am also connected to sap.service market place.
My question is, I have not installed my ERP EHP5 system yet and how do I generate the XML file for a system that has not been installed? Also I am not sure what is the best way to define the system in SolMan so I have a error free definition. Therefore I can generate the xml file for the support pack and EHP5.
This is what I have done:
Client copy of 000 to 100
initial config
Basic config
I need to connect to SAP to download support packs for SolMan to upgrade to SP27.
Please provide links to the documents.
Regards

So you need to upgrade to 7.1? Or You need to install SP27?
See this link below:

And in this select what relaease and what activity you are looking to perform after you select the release (install or upgrade)
I could not provide direct links because I do not understand what is it that you are trying to do.
You need to start with the MOPZ setup though, if you are looking to download support packs et all from the Service Marketplace

• How to update XML file through UCCX script ?

Hi,
I have an UCCX script with MENU step. One of the step is for technical support team. When caller chose this step, information about date and time of the call and calling number should be recorded on a XML file located on the web server.
This XML is uploaded into the web server , but I don't know how to update it through UCCX script.
Here is how the XML file looks like:

CALL LOG

Support Call log

2011-08-24 14:56:39 - 00044 123 123 123

</item

Any idea?
Thanks,
O

Hi
The 'keyword transform' step uses the template XML file to generate the actual XML file you want to post... the template would be a plain text file uploaded to the repository, and would look like so:

CALL LOG
Support Call log
1
%%calldatetime%% - %%clinumber%%
Now - if you had that bit of XML, with correct time/number in it - have you verified know that you can definately just post that XML to a certain URL to get it on the server? Check with whoever manages that server exactly what you need to do to get it to appear - then worry about how you do that from UCCX. It may not be a matter of posting up that XML, you may need it in a different format or something..

• Repeated retrieval and parsing of XML file causes IE to display an error message

I have a flash application that makes a HTTP call every 120
seconds to retrieve a xml file. This file is being generated with
fresh data every few minutes or so and pushed to the apache web
root with a unix mv command.
I'm using the standard Flash XML object. The HTTP request is
NOT over SSL (I know there is a bug related to this). Here is the
code to make the retrieval:
xmlData = null;
xmlData = new XML();
xmlData.ignoreWhite = true;
xmlData.onLoad = xmlTraverse;
xmlData.load("
http://domain/dir/somefile.xml");
The "xmlTraverse" method was written by my team. There is no
known bug in the parsing logic.
Intermittently and unpredictably, IE will display the
following dialogue box:
"A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Flash Player 8
to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become
unresponive. Do you want to abort the script?"
I originally leaned toward an infinite loop causing this
problem. The timeline jumps back and forth between two frames,
checking in the latter frame if the xml has been loaded and parsed
before allowing execution to move to the next frame. I hardcoded
the loop check to always be false, but this did not produce the
message above (although it pegged my CPU).
The only scenario where I've managed to reproduce the message
above is by making a huge (50 MB) xml file. This consistently
produces the message. But I don't realistically see how our xml
file could ever be over 1 MB.
First, can anyone cite another cause for this message? I'm
starting to lean towards the issue lying in our parsing logic such
as infinite recursion on a badly formed XML file. Second, does
anyone know of a solid xml SAX parsing actionscript utility where
you can assign callbacks to XML nodes? If the problem is in the
parsing, we may have to replace our homegrown solution with
something more robust and proven.

Is it a recursive parsing function? I'm not sure about this,
but I think this message pops up when there are more than 256
iterations in a loop (I've read something about this 256 limit,
that will end while loops if they exceed this, but with another
error message... but again, I'm not totally sure about that).
The message is typically for loops, but I don't know when it
fires. Sometimes it appears for really 'small' loops when you're
using the debugger (e.g. a for loop with 100 iterations), so maybe
it is connected to the time a loop is running. You could place some
trace statements in the xmlTraverse method, to see where the
function was when the message occurs, or take the time the function
needs and check if this might be related to the error.
That's all I can come up with, guess there are people here
with more insight to this...
cheers,
blemmo

• XML files from ABAP programs

Hi everyone!
Is there a way in ABAP to output XML files? Pls. send code/ function module if any.
From ABAP programs, we are sure that we can output TEXT files, but how about XML files?
The significance of this question is related
Currently we are using XI to interface SAP and AMS, this question for ABAP to produce XML file arose, if for example, the XI server is down and we have to still send data from one system to another. IDocs can also produce XML files, pls confirm. Earlier however, we have preferred XI rather than IDocs to do this. Anyway, any idea regarding this scenario will be greatly appreciated.

• Will I need a crossdomain.xml file?

I have been working on my first Flex application and it
builds several menu structures based on data received from external
XML files. Everything works fine when running the project within
Flex Builder but when I move the build directory (/bin) to another
location it does not load my menus. I have since found out this is
because of the security setting the projects build directory gets
and to get my files to work elsewhere I will need a crossdomain.xml
file.
After researching how crossdomain.xml files work I'm
wondering if in my case I should even need one because the files my
SWF are loading will already be placed on the local machine - not a
server. Still, the application is not working so I have tried a
crossdomain.xml anyways using the following code:

<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="192.168.*" secure="false"/>
</cross-domain-policy>
The file seems to have no effect (althought the "192.168.*"
string I used may not be what I want) and I'm looking for other
options. Also, I was originally getting my XML from an HTTPRequest
but am now using a URLRequest() which then converts the content to
XML which I find cleaner in the code.
Any ideas keeping in mind this application will have all its
content loaded from CD onto the users local drive?

This is always a little confusing. Here's how it works. The
Flash Player is aware of which domain is referenced when the first
SWF is loaded. The "domain" could be www.adobe.com or
labs.adobe.com or 192.168.0.100. The Flash Player thinks of this as
its home domain. Any reference to any other domain is a security
concern. Even if that happens to be "localhost".
Things work from Flex Builder because Flex Builder registers
its directories with the Flash Player and makes everything have the
security level of "local-trusted". This means your Flex app can
load files from anywhere - the local file system (via HTTPService
for example, not a direct read of the file) or from the network.
When you move your SWF to another place, such as a web
server, that server's domain becomes the home, trusted domain for
the Flash Player when it loads a SWF from there. If your data file
is in the same domain as the SWF (eg, in the same directory or a
sub-directory), then the Flash Player won't have a problem loading
it.
HTTPService url="mydata/myfile.xml" or
url="/flex/mydata/myfile.xml" work because they are relative paths
to where the SWF is located and thus, in the same domain. However,
if you do: url="
http://localhost/mydata/myfile.xml"
and the SWF is now coming from a web server in a different domain
(foreign domain), then its a security problem.
In order for the Flash Player to be allowed to load data from
outside the home domain, there must be something that authorizes
it. That's the crossdomain.xml file. When the Flash Player sees
that you are going to load a file from a different domain, it asks
that domain for its crossdomain.xml file. The Player then looks to
see if its home domain is among those allowed to access files. If
not, security error. If the home domain is present, then the file
is requested.
The crossdomain.xml file should list the home domain of the
SWF, not your machine's domain or IP address. For example, suppose
the SWF is now on adobe.com and is launched like this:
http://www.adobe.com/flex/YourApp.html.
The Flash Player will assume that www.adobe.com is its home domain.
Even if you are in the abcxyz.com domain.
Now your Flex app wants to load
http://localhost/mydata/myfile.xml.
The Player will ask for
http://localhost/crossdomain.xml
and look to see if www.adobe.com is allowed access.
To recap:
The domain of the first SWF loaded
into the Player is the home domain.
Any access to data outside of the
home domain requires a crossdomain.xml file.
The crossdomain.xml file should be at
the context root of the domain (eg,
http://www.adobe.com/crossdomain.xml
or
http://localhost/crossdomain.xml).
The home domain must be granted access to load any resources from
the foreign domain.
If you are using Flex Data Services and you have
useProxy="true" on your data service request, then some different
security rules apply. Let us know if that's the case.
