How many times has iTunes been downloaded

I thought this would be easy to find via Google, but I can't.
What is the official word on how many copies of iTunes have been downloaded or pre-loaded on machines? Anyone know?

You should ALWAYS maintain a backup copy of your computer, including your music.

In other nokia models I could see - at received calls- how many times a single number( the same number) has called. for example:le´ts suppose the number 123( a friend of you) called you 3 times yesterday. How could you see these 3 calls with their respective hours with the 6210 navigator?

You can see that in the log application.
Not the call log that you get by pressing the green key but the full log accessible through the phone's menus.

HT1975 How can I reset the gray location services icon that apears next to the app that used my location services in the past 24 hours? Or better yet is there a way to track how many times it's been doing it in the past 24 hours?

My boyfriend likes to check up on me by using find my iPhone app. Sometimes I feel he goes overboard and would like to know how often he is watching me. The gray icon is always there because he watches me every day, but if there is a way to reset it do that I can check it time after time and see if he watched me again since the last time I checked. Or is there a way or an app that tracks how many times a devise has been tracked? I don't want to change my password because I like knowing that if I get lost in the woods he would find me :)) I just want to know his often he is watching me.

Understood. However, the point that I'm trying to make is that it's not the WiFi access point's security that's in question, it's having your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode that's in question. It's simple: if your phone's WiFi is on, then it is both discoverable and hackable... even when it's not connected to a WiFi network or access point. The point is that it's not secure to have your phone's WiFi in an always-on mode. It would be better for privacy and security if Apple made WiFi location aware so that it is only enabled when you are at a trusted location (e.g. your home or office). Or, at least give us the option of location aware WiFi so that each user can determine the best mode for their phone:
(1) Always-On (current default - not secure and many privacy issues).
(2) Trusted mode (only on at trusted locations).
(3) Off.

Have a go at your d**n dentist. Embedding opening times in Flash is idiotic.
Then have a go at Adobe, whoi announced recently that they will no longer develop Flash for mibile devices.
Then have a go at yourself, for buying a porduct which, from the start, has never supported Flash and whose maker has stated many times in the most public way that it never will. Steve Jobs ignited a major debate early in 2010 when he published a very public statement to that effect.
Finally, consider (seruiously) selling the iPad and replacing it with one of the other tablets that does support Flash. There are other, decent, tablets out there that work pretty well.

I have tried to download Itunes again but the following keeps poping up, "The Itunes library is locked on a locked disc, oryou do not have write permission for this file." How can I overcome this?

To solve this issue all I did was check to ensure that the file permissions were set as described by the earlier posts, followed by simply deleting the iTunes Library Genius.itdb file. Once the file was deleted I was able to open iTunes without difficulty. Note that I am running Windows 8. Hope this helps!

Hi, Apple has accepted my ebook in their itunes store. The book was make at Blurb.com and submitted to Apple through Blurb. Now, I see my book in the store and I even see ratings so I know someone must have downloaded it. What I'd like to know is how many times the book is downloaded so I have an idea of how the book is doing. Right now it's free. I'd just like to see the stats.

My organization, a chorus, publishes a weekly podcast of our recorded rehearsals. We want to know how many times each podcast is downloaded. Does iTunes have any tools that will tell us how often a single podcast is downloaded through iTunes? I don't see anything about this in the support.

iTunes does not provide this information. If your media files are hosted on a server which provides PHP (MobileMe does not) then there is a method described here.

I don't think you can count how many times it's been used. However, you can check whether the index is used or not over a given period by looking at v$object_usage view.
However, you do have to monitor the index usage by issuing

However, there is a problem with this view in that the username is always the user who set monitoring on the index.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

You mention "lack of control" several times. The control is there - you control the Apple ID and password that owns the app. No other Apple ID can use the app. You have not shared your Apple ID or password with anyone, so you and only you own the app.
Therefore, the number of times the app is downloaded or re-downloaded is completely irrelevant. You might, for example, decide to purchase a new iPhone or iPad and download the app there. Or the app developer may issue a new version which you download. None of this matters regarding your "control" of the app. All that matters is that you own it and nobody else can use it.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Can I see how many times a shared album has been viewed?

I primarily use Revel to share photos of events since the files get too big to email more than 2 at a time. Usually, there is a very limited group of people that would be interested but the link to one album was shared on Facebook and I'm curious to see if many people viewed that album. Is there a way to see how many times the album has been viewed?
