How many times to I have to download Adobe Flash Player?

Some time when trying to watch a video (doesn't happen every time?), I am told I need to download the latest Adobe Flash Player.  I have now done that over and over with it telling me it was successful.   Then, I try to watch video---it tells me again to download the latest Adobe Flash Player.   I cannot find that I
even have it on my system?   I have Windows 7 and using Internet Explorer.

Here's the thing.
Microsoft really "did a number" on IE 11. The intentionally altered the "User-Agent Strings" which websites use to identify the browser and provide the proper content. IE11's User-Ahgent Strings identify it as either Gecko (Firefox) or Webkit (Safari). The User-Agent Strings MUST match the browser engine, and IE doesn't have a Gecko ro Webkit engine.
The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using a different browser. Trouble with that is, it's seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

I have a mac book pro and have already downloaded adobe flash player. However when i go to watch a video it says "Blocked Plug In". But my adobe is already up to date. Can someone help me to fix this so i can watch videos?

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 7. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
You might have to log out or reboot before a Flash update takes effect.
    Step 2
In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.
    Step 3
If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, log in to YouTube and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
    Step 4
If you get a warning of a "blocked" or "outdated" plug-in, then from the menu bar select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch the browser.
If the warning persists, triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open. Inside it, there should be a file named "XProtect.meta.plist". If that file is missing and you know why it's missing, restore it from a backup or copy it from another Mac running the same version of OS X. Otherwise, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Step 5
Open this folder as in Step 4:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
    Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
    Step 6
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    Step 7
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
    Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
    Then click the button marked
    Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
    Step 8
    Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.

  • Why do I have to download Adobe Flash Player to watch certain videos?

I have a new Mac Pro and when I want to watch some videos on YouTube or videos for my online class, I get the "missing plug-in" message and am directed to download Adobe Flash Player. This is frustrating because I DESPISE just about anything Adobe! It's one of the main reasons I switched from PC to a Mac. Do I have to download Adobe Flash Player? Do I have another option? Should I stop whining about it and just do it even though it is a piece of crap?

    Probably.
I use Chrome for all my YouTube and other flash video related activities, but I am also an avid YouTube troll.

  • Why does mac have to download adobe flash player to view videos

why does mac have to download adobe flash player to view video clips?

If you have a new-ish Mac or one you just upgraded to Mac OS X Lion, Adobe Flash Player is not installed by default. Since some web content is created specifically to be seen only with Adobe Flash Player, if you want to see that content, you need to install it.
It's trivial to do so. Start here:

  • How many times do I have to download and install Firefox 34.0 Beta 7? Software update asks me to do this (and I do) at least once a day. Yes, I have restarted.

Using MacBook Pro, 15", early 2008, 2.4G Intel core 2 duo, 4G ram. Software update asks to update Firefox 34.0 beta7 every day. If I update, it just asks me to do it again. It has done this through the last several Beta updates. It's a bit disconcerting, since the updates are supposedly for security and stability. Let me put the question in another way: how many times do I have to ignore the update request before it quits asking? This is all causing me to regret making Firefox my default browser, especially since Safari has been improved so much.

Even so there is only a average of nine Beta test builds for each version in six weeks, so not that often.
Sound like you the update is not installing perhaps due to read/write permission issues.
Try downloading the 34.0b7 dmg from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/all/

  • How do you find out how many times an app has been downloade

Wondering where I can find out how many times an app from the app store has been downloaded?

Are you asking if you can find out how many times an app has been downloaded from the app store? Or you asking if you can find how many times you have downloaded the app? If the former, you could try asking the developer. If the latter, none that I know of.

Being new to iBook publishing I need to know if stats are available to determine how many times my iBook has been downloaded. Can anyone help please? I need to persuade someone that this really is worthwhile. Mr Ignorant.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

  • How many times do you have to pay for Creative Cloud complete plan prepaid if it says an amount of money per year? do you have to pay that every year?

how many times do you have to pay for a Creative Cloud complete plan prepaid if it says an amount of money per year? do you have to pay that every year?

Perhaps the unclear part here is that the Cloud is a subscription offering. You never pay for it outright and never actually own it.
12 months pre-paid simply means paying the full 12 months subscription upfront. The following year, you do the same. And the same every year after that.
Like any subscription, if you want to keep using the software, you keep paying the monthly (or annual) fee every month (or year), year in, year out.
When you cancel your subscription, or it expires and you don't renew, then the software stops working.

how many time do I have to buy the same app?

You are going to have to articulate a little more clearly what your issue is. General statements like buying the same app every year is not helpful.
What, exactly is your issue? What Apps are you having to buy over and over? If you cannot take the time to describe your problem fully and clearly, then we can't help you.

  • How do I download Adobe Flash Player on my MacBook Pro?  It says that I have to disable my antivirus software but I never installed one. Does it come with the Mac in the first place?

How do I download Adobe Flash Player on my MacBook Pro?  It says that I have to disable my antivirus software but I never installed one. Does it come with the Mac in the first place? If so, how can I disable it or get Adobe Flash Player?

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

cannot download adobe flash player on firefox it says i need to disable firefox first? If i have to disable how do i do it.

Download and installation are two separate steps. The Adobe Flash '''installation''' procedure requires that Firefox be closed before installing Flash.
orange Firefox button > '''''Exit''''' or File > Exit to close Firefox. Then wait a minute or so before starting to install Flash.
