How much does it cost to unlock a Firmware password protected computer?

I'm just curious, so how much does it cost to repair and unlock a firmware password locked Mac?
Because they say: Only Apple retail stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers can unlock these computers protected by a firmware password.
How much does it cost?

I'd expect the price varies, and might even be free with good ID and clear ownership.
As for the price, call Apple or the local Apple Authorized Service Provider, and ask them.
Or bring your photo ID and your Mac into the shop, and ask directly.

    The only way to unlock a locked device is through the carrier. If it is locked to AT&T, you will have to contact them to get it unlocked.

    If you "unlocked" it using any method other than contacting the carrier it was locked to and having it legitimately unlocked by them, you hacked it. You can not get help here for a hacked phone.
    ONLY the carrier it's locked to can authorize unlocking it.

    As stated above, only the original cellular provider can unlock the iPhone. Thus, only that provider can tell you what charges there may be, if any.

    This laptop doesn't come with a webcam as a hardware item on the specifications.  Did you see in the computer specifications that this laptop had a webcam installed?

    My hard drive continually has the floating beach ball and will take massive time to fulfill a request. And then will not boot up...so then I have to do a restore and rebuild hard drive from a past saved time machine version. Works for a little bit...then the floating beachball comes more and more...until it will not boot up again. So then I restore from a previous time machine saved version....and again it works for a day or so ... until it happens again. Now it's happening faster and faster...so I think my hard drive is dying.

    What MichelPM suggested is the SAFEST solution. Firefox is a better browser than Safari, and you will not be faced with any potentially crippling consequences of a full OS update.
    You will presumably have to update your system at some point, and you should prepare for that by maintaining a full, up-to-date backup of your current main system on an external hard drive. You can use SuperDuper ($25) or Carbon Copy Cloner (the legacy version, 3.5.7) to clone your current system to an external drive. This drive will be bootable and will provide you will a safety net if you decide to install Yosemite at some point.
