I wander how openning of adobe forms could be faster at Enterprise portal 7.0. We are using for ESS/MSS functionality.
I found out that firs time an form is opened it takes longer than next times. Has anyone some good documentation

I would say that this is caused by the Adobe Reader on the PC, not by the portal itself.

I created a Web based form and the responses received through same are available in an web page (through embed code). Now I wish to limit the ability of those viewing same to export the data in XLS format. For this one thing I need to somehow enable is to remove the "Open in Adobe Forms Central" as the export to XLS option is only available there.

Error while opening the ADOBE FORM via mail

Hi to all,
I have created a program to attached ADOBE FORM to mail.
When I execute the program, it sends ADOBE FORM to my mail ID successfully.
But when I open my mail and try to open attached ADOBE FORM, it gives error
ADOBE READER COULD NOT OPEN u2018PDF FORM (1). PDFu2019 because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ( for example, it was sent as an email attached and wasnu2019t correctly decoded).
Please can any tell me, what the problem is and what the solution is for that?

Hi suman,
First you have insert a element interactive form in the view.
In the properties of the interactive form you have properties called datasource and pdfsource.
You have to give the data which you want to display in the datasource throught binding.
These data you have to get it from the context. For pdfsource it should be xstring.
There is one more property called templatesource, when you give a name and double click. It automatically goes to SFP and you can create the form of your purpose. While creating it will ask for context. That context will be the same which you have declared in the view or component controller.

Hi Ajay,
You are completely right that you cannot find anything with smartform in the customizing (OMLV). The reason for it: It is not there. It not even exists. Also the latest version of rlvsdr40 has nothing standard concerning smartforms.
I do not know why it is really necessary to use adobe or smartforms.
The only way is to build a new one (ZRLVSDR40). In that new one you have to use the sapscriptname (from OMLV)and treat it as a smartform- name.

Open PDF Adobe form from workitem in UWL

Hi,
We have a requirement in which a workitem is gettng generated from workflows, And it comes in UWL, So when we execute that workitem it should open a adobe form for notificaton so that approver can reject or approve that notificaton in PDF, But it is openng a SAP transaction rather then adobe form.
we are on ECC 5.0 and portal verion is 7. we are using standard workflow WS5000041 which generates the workitem. It works perfectly fine in ECC 6.0, As there are different standard workflows in ECC 6.0 but the working is same.

I think you might have missed out to configure the respective task ID and its respective visualization parameters in the SWFVISU transaction.
Iam not sure what is exactly the flow in the ECC5.0 but if you look at the workflow template , it again incudes a subworkflow, in which you actually have the approve form standard task the task number is TS50000075 and in the swfvisu txn the task is already configured with visualization paramters as Webdynpro aplication and Name sape sa SAP, I think you have to add one more parameter in the DYNPARAM

We are in Portal implementation face with ECC6 EHP4 and Portal EHP1
We have developed adobe form using HCM forms and processes and done the required configuration in SPRO
When we are trying to open the form from ESS we are getting below error
404 not found
The requested resource does not exist.

In NWDS goto the webservice prosperctive and test the Adobedocumentservicesec . If it works fine then ok ohterwise some problem in ADS.

How open an interactive form in a tabstrip of Firefox

I have developped an application which involves interactive form . Now I want to display the pdf in a new tabstrip of Firefox.(after clicking on a button).
Do you have an idea to display an interactive form in a new tabstrip,please?
Actually to solve this problem, I have used a "LinkToUrl" UI Component which opens PDF in a new tabstrip of Firefox but I have an other problem that is I MUST clik on the link opening the PDF in a new tabstrip( but I don't want to click).
The code used is :

If I get you correctly then you want to Upload a prefilled Adobe IF from some location without any user interaction and save it to some Backend/Temp storage: You need to have something like you have a user inbox and mail comes to this with the Adobe Form as an attachment, you extract the attachment and read it using available Java apis for reading. You can also specify a particular folder where you can place the filled form and then read it using FileInputStream and can save it in the backend after you have it in binary form in your application.

That depends...
If you need to display MSS forms into your portal, plz have a look at the Business Package for MSS. Interactive forms are presented in the portal via the ISRForm application (and PCRApplication).
If you need to display your custom made forms into the portal, you can develop your own WebDynpro application that embeds the Adobe Interactive form.
Could you explain more about your requirements?
