How's it possible my cube has 704 megs of Ram?

I know, I know, I put it there (smiles). I know I bought Ram at one time and added it to the cube.
My question: I can't remember what I added. I thought I may have added 512 megs Ram to what came with my cube, but the math doesn't work out. No matter how I work the math (either my cube had to come with 64 megs or 128 megs, right?) adding 512 to either of those doesn't come to 704 megs of ram? Did I add some odd amount of ram or what?
By the way, how many slots does my cube have for ram (3?)
Other questions: When I look for ram, should I look for ram that is a certain speed? Any other suggestions would be helpful. I know at one time that ram people were buying was iffy and apple even made a program to tell if you bought ram that wasn't working for a Mac (a lot of controversy over this years ago on this forum if anyone remembers).
Any links to where I can get good yet cheap ram would be helpful.

Your cube has 3 slots for RAM, numbered J7 (closest to video card), J8 and J9.
Look in System Profiler for Memory, it should tell you the amount and slot it's in.
Actually, when I add 64128512 = 704, at least my calculator says so.
Cube spec's call for 512MB PC100 CL2 168 Pin SDRam 2-2-2, but it's getting hard to find. You can use SDRAM, PC133 • CL=2 • Unbuffered • Non-parity • 133MHz • 3.3V • 64Meg x 64, it is backward compatible.

Normally I'd suggest OWC but they seem to be out of it. Where ever you purchase it, make sure they warranty "Apple Compatible" and have a good refund policy. BTW, Apple says that about everything, it's their way of dodging problems.

there are somany ways to find this.go to inofcube right click and fo to performance tab and check whether the tick mark is there on create index then if its present you can confirm that batch indexes are present for this infocube.
Right click on that cube and select manage--> performance tab -->u can click on check option for index, if it turns red no index , u create index there only by selectin create index option.
other way is go to SE11 and give your fact table name like /BIC/F<INFOCUBE NAME>and display and there at the right most top you can find one option like indexes click on this you can see which indexes are using by the cube and its of which type.

There are couple of reason behind it.
main reason is
take one scenario we have DSO as source and cube as target.
Now DSO contains only 1 request, which i have loaded to cube by using delta.
after that i have deleted DSO content by using right click on it and delete data.
(hope u know that it will not delete request from target automatically)
now once again i have loaded same request from datasource to DSO
and then loaded delta again from DSO to cube.
In this case for 1 single request in DSO you can see 2 request in cube with same data.

In order to check if the Reports executed is the one you have modified, I suggest to copy the Reports in a specific directory (/tmp on UNIX , c:\temp on Window) and execute the Reports providing the "full path name " :
report=/tmp/myreport.rdf
If you can see the modifications you have done when executing the reports like this, check if there is a REP with the same name , check if the Reports you have modified is the first with this name in the REPORTS_PATH

My wife lost her iPhone two weeks ago while on vacation in London (cell service inoperative in foreign country). Using Find My iPhone app on my device, I activated Lost Mode and Play Sound. However, both are listed as "Pending," since it those actions require the phone to connect to the internet (wifi only due to no cellular data coverage.).
We recently returned home and purchased a new iPhone.
However, when looking to restore the apps/settings from her old phone using a previous iCloud backup, iCloud indicates that the old phone connected to iCloud and backed up the original phone at a date that is 1 week after it went missing. How is this possible without locking (Lost Mode Pending an internet connection)?
If the phone was activated and connected to the internet via a wifi signal, shouldn't it immedately lock, show up on the map, Play Sound, and send me an email that the phone has been found?
I also read somewhere that if running iOS 7, the iCloud website interface enables you to track previous locations, for instance if the phone moves from wifi hotspot to hotspot. Is that true? If so, how do I do that?

It sounds as if your ex has your AppleID and passcode. Change the passcode.

Did you check your trash? If you dont empty it it will fill up and cause your HD to fill up even though you think you have removed some stuff.
You should get a small program called "whatsize". Do a google and download it.
Running it will show you what is filling up your HD and I believe that you can remove files with whatsize.

How is it possible to use data when you hardly even use your phone?

I just got an LG G3 phone yesterday afternoon and have 500 mg to use and have already maxed it out and have hardly even used the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has data been used why I am sleeping and when I know 100% I am not even on my phone. I use my laptop for all internet. My husband doesn't even use the internet, and if he does I am the one that finds the page he needs, and he really doesn't even know how to use it. He has a basic flip top and doesn't want anything more. So, please help me understand how data is being used almost all day, all night, and even when we are sleeping and the phone is not being used for anything? As a matter of fact, I am on my laptop and can't sleep because of this!! My phone is in the other room and I bet data is being used right now. But, I know don't anyone uses that much data in a DAY and A HALF when the phone is not in use. I have had three phone calls all day and only one I answered and I made one call out, but data has been used all day. And I have had free 250 mg for probably at least six months and have used no data and now all the sudden when I have been on my laptop all day the data is used. Can someone please help me understand how this is possible?@

Match is downloading songs even when Music is set to not use cellular. How is this possible?

I have turned off cellular data for my Music but when I'm driving in my car, songs are playing that I have not downloaded to my phone. Then, when I look at the library on my phone and try to delete these songs, they won't delete. I own the songs and they are in my Match cloud but I'm 1) getting charged data usage and 2) somehow stuck with songs on my phone that I don't necessarily want on there.
I took the phone into a store and they couldn't figure it out either. They said I had somehow downloaded these songs when I synced to a device in my home. I'm not sure how that is possible when I'm driving down the road. My current phone has never been plugged into any device to sync. This was happening on a 5S that I just took in for service replacement and is happening now on the new 5S that they gave me as a replacement phone. Very Frustrating!!

What makes it worse is that the user made linux touchpad drivers for synaptic touchpads does let you define the phyiscal touch area. So in linux you could easily shrink the area so the touch area does not include the buttons.
There is no technical reason why the windows driver cannot support this. Just add a tab to the menu for touch area and let people define it with a box just like the current driver allows you to set touch zones. Then the feature is universal and it would work for any future variation of physical buttons and touchpad area.
I personally am in awe of how they could make a touch pad where the physical buttons double as touch area and not notice that you need a way to exclude the buttons from the touch area if you actually want to use them. Why did they make physical buttons that you cannot use? Do they not test this stuff?

How to handle user preference which has "_" and " " in the name

Hi Experts,
I have a question how to handle value which has like "_" and "space" etc in user preference.
If setting "a_b-c d", I could not retrieve this because it's escaped in database.
So this code can't get value even though I can set it.
Is there any restriction of name? Is there any documentation how to code user prefernece which has non alphabet and number in the name?
I know it's possible to handle the data like adding escaped data. But I don't think this is the best way to retrieve the data. Because nobody confirm it's not problem in the future.
Could you tell me the best way to get these user preference?

Plumtree recommends that user preference names have only alphanumeric characters in them (a-z, A-Z, 0-9). Any non-alphanumeric characters will be encoded by the EDK.
I strongly suggest that you change your user pref name to something that's alphanumeric. However, if that is not possible, you can use the following workaround: in the web service editor, enter the encoded name for the user pref. There are several ways to get the encoded name.
One way is to encode the pref manually, yourself. Plumtree uses the %u encoded format: each non alphanumeric character is converted into %uxxxx, where xxxx is the Unicode representation of the character. For all ASCII characters, just look at the ASCII hex chart. For example, character "-" has a hex value of 2d. So, a preference name "jane_pref" would be encoded to "jane%u002dpref", and you'd enter the latter value on the preferences page in the web service editor.
The other way to find out the encoded value is to set a preference programmatically and use the HTTP tunnel tool to look at HTTP traffic between the portal server and remote server. The remote server will be sending a HTTP header to the portal server (the header name will probably be CSP-User-Pref) and inside the header you should see the pref name, encoded with %u. Just copy it out of there and into the web service editor.

How it is possible that an internet user locks an order???

I have a problem. Some of the orders, when transfered to R/3 has a mapping error in SMW01. When I check the details I see that it gives an error "Transaction 300615856 is being processed by user 7003788553" message number CRM_ORDER013.
However here 7003788553 is an internet user who gave the order. So how it is possible that an Internet user locks the order.
I tried to simulate the error myself in quality system however never succeeded.
Any idea?

I tried to describe my problem above:
My macbook pro has a 320GB hard disk but when i click at volume account in order to get information about it , Mac OS shows me that the volume has 639.46 GB capacity where 305,42GB of this capacity are free and the other 334,04GB are used.
Because I had recent problems with hackers when I was using Windows this situation really concerned me.
How is it possible?

Your network preferences file may be damaged, that would explain why you can configure the computer and get online but then when the computer wakes from sleep and needs to restore the setting it cannot.
Open the Library folder of your computer (not the Library in your user directory) and then find the Preferences folder. Now the problem for me is that I've not used Leopard forever so I'm not sure exactly where the file you want is or what it is called. In Mountain Lion it is called:
com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
and it is inside a folder called SystemConfiguration. But I can't remember if this has changed along the way or not. The easy thing to do is to go back to the Network Preferences pane again and make the change I directed above. Then you can look in the Preferences folder and sort by date modified to find the network preferences file that was just now modified. Move it to the desktop, restart your computer, reconfigure the WiFi again and see what happens.
