How SCCM client determines the required space for package in cache?

Hi,
I have deployed many small applications within SCCM. Now it is time to deploy Lingvo - the size of installation folder is 2.5 GB - and my test deployment report says that there is not enough client cache disk space... From the SCCM Right-click tools, I've
changed the cache size many times (and restarted  SMS host agent too) - and deployment was successful only after I set client cache size to 65 GB. Why so ridiculous? 

The Configuration Manager 2012 client cache will maintain itself automatically. You can find more information here about how that Works:

Have you verified that your existing applications is NOT marked as persist in cache, because if they are they will not be deleted automatically. You could use various script to delete the cache on your clients:

    Hi,
    System follows some search criterial to determine the requirement type
    1. First, an attempt is made to find a requirements type using the strategy group in the material master.
    2. If the strategy group has not been maintained, the system will determine it using the MRP group.
    3. If the MRP group has not been defined, the system uses the material type instead of the MRP group when accessing the corresponding control tables.
    4. If no requirements type is found here, the system assumes a special rule and attempts to find a requirements type with the aid of the item category and the MRP type.
    5. If this is not possible, a last attempt is made to find a requirements type with the item category only.
    6. If the last attempt fails, the system declares the transaction as not relevant for the availability check or transfer of requirements.

  • How do you determine the SPML posid for identities or roles,

    We are currently on 11.1.1.3.0
    There are multiple SPML operations to update or delete identities or roles. And all these require us to pass in a posID (either identity:NNN or role:NNN).
    My question is how does one get the posID programatically? So far the only way I know of is a manual process. To get the users posID, its displayed on the OIM admin console when viewing the details for a user. However for a role, I have had to look it up in the database table, UGP.UGP_KEY.
    There are some lookup operations in the WSDL but as of 11.1.1.3.0, they are all unimplemented.

    I raised an SR with oracle about this and their response was that the only way to do this is through the lookup methods which would be implemented in future patches.

    I am trying to figure out how to add some columns to the list of contract items for this WebDynpro application/view:

    All the documentation I can find regarding the FPM says to change the feeder class, but nowhere I have seen do they explain how to determine the feeder class of an existing component/view.

    The term "feeder class" normally refers to the POWL search, not the actual document detail screen. You could just add one more column by enhancing the webdynpro view.

    I have an Enterprise Service that is defined in ECC and I can see the function definition for it via transaction code se80, ABAP Development Workbench.  However when I open up the Service Definition for the Function and click on the WSDL tab the URL I see is not correct.

    Will someone please tell me this so I can give them points:
    First you have to call transaction SOAMANAGER in your ECC system.  It will then open up a new browser window.  Then select the Single Service Administration link and a new screen will open.  Then search and select your WebService and press the Apply Selection button.  Then you can select the wsdl from the grid below.  If no wsdl was previous created you can Create a New Endpoint which will generate one.  The browser window that opens up will have the WSDL URL set in the Address bar.

    Not if you are using a different Apple ID. You would need to purchase the app using your Apple ID.

    I am installing Grid infrastructure. I am on step 7 of 10 (verify Grid installation enviroment) and get this error:
    "Free Space: Rac2: /tmp"
    Cause: Could not determine mount point for location specified.
    Action: Ensure location specified is available.
    Expected value: n/a
    Actual value: n/a
    I have checked the free space using the command:
    [root@Rac2 /]# df -k /tmp
    Output:
    Filesystem     1k-blocks     used     Available     Use%     Mounted on
    /dev/sda1     30470144     7826952     21070432     28%     /
    As you see above, the free space is enough, but could not determine mount point for /tmp.
    Do any folk understand how to determine the mount point for directory /tmp ?

    I have just checked "/home/oracle/.bash_profile". But in my computer, there is no "oracle" under /home directory.Is this your first time Linux and Oracle installation? I had a brief look at your referenced link. The reason why you do not find a "oracle" user is because the instructions use "ora11g" instead, which, btw, is not standard. The directories of your installation and your installation source can be somewhat different from known standards and you will have to adjust it to your system.
    My best guess is that you have either missed something in the instructions or you need to ask the author of the blog what is wrong. The chance to find someone here who has experience with these custom instructions is probably unlikely.
    I suggest you try to locate the cluster verification tool, which should be in the bin directory of your grid installation. Alternatively you might want to check the RAC, ASM & Clusterware Installation forum: RAC, ASM & Clusterware Installation
