How to Access Radiobutton Check Value

Hi all,
I'm using Oracle 10g Forms Developer and I want to know how to access radio button check value, that means how to know that the current radio button is checked or not. Thanks in advance

you assign each button the representing value in the properties.
So you can just check if the radiogroup-item has the value you assigned the button, something like:
IF :BLOCK.RADIOBUTTONITEM='A' THEN

  • How to access each row value for a database item

    On my form I have a database datablock that represents a table in my database.
    5 rows are shown with a scroll bar that can be viewed to show the rest.
    The user is able to change some of the Database Item values represented in this datablock for any row shown in the datablock.
    I need to validate the correctness of the users change before allowing the database datablock to update the table in the database.
    But a database item in a datablock will represent a value for every row in the table. So how do I access each row value for a database item separately. What is the PL/SQL syntax?
    thanks,
    michelle

    In my situation it was better to use the loop instead
    of a when validate trigger because...Well it was clearly not better to use a loop that doesn't work. I don't understand what you're not clear on about the item and record validation triggers. If you have a specific validation rule for a single field (such as a date that cannot be in the future), that would go in a When-Validate-Item trigger on the date item. If the user enters a future date, your code would display an error message and raise a failure. Raising a failure prevents the item from being marked as valid. Invalid items prevent the record from being inserted/updated. Sometimes you have a validation rule that requires looking at more than one item at a time, such as two items that must either both be NULL or NOT NULL. In that case, you could not use a When-Validate-Item trigger because you can't clear or populate both at once. So then you would use a When-Validate-Record at the block level and if one field is NULL and the other isn't, you would display an error message and raise a failure. Forms is very civil in this respect; we don't throw exceptions around here, but then I digress.

  • How to Access the Return Value of a Function

    Hi,
    How do I access the return value when calling an Oracle function from .NET using Oracle.DataAccess.Client? The function returns an integer of 0, 1 or 99.
    Dim db_command_oracle As New OracleCommand()
    db_command_oracle.Connection = db_connection_oracle
    db_command_oracle.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure
    db_command_oracle.CommandText = "swsarsi.import_appointments"
    Dim ret_value As New OracleParameter()
    ret_value.OracleDbType = OracleDbType.Int32
    ret_value.Direction = ParameterDirection.ReturnValue
    ret_value.Size = 2
    ret_value.OracleDbType = OracleDbType.Int32
    db_command_oracle.Parameters.Add(ret_value)
    Dim IN_student_id As New OracleParameter()
    IN_student_id.OracleDbType = OracleDbType.Varchar2
    IN_student_id.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input
    IN_student_id.Size = 10
    IN_student_id.Value = student_id
    db_command_oracle.Parameters.Add(IN_student_id)
    db_command_oracle.ExecuteNonQuery()
    messagebox.show(ret_value) ?????

    Your ODP.NET code looks correct. What error are you seeing?
    One thing that will definitely generate an error is that .NET message boxes require that strings be displayed. ret_value is a parameter object. You need to access its value and convert it to a string. At a minimum, you need to change that.

  • How to get all checked values from a chaeck box

    Hello
    In my app i have a checkbox called P10_CID with static lov like
    STATIC2:one;1,two;2,three;3,four;4,six;6
    my question is when i check more than one option
    i can not get that value.
    How is it possible to see all the values of the check box that are checked ?
    Regards
    Aris

    Hi Aris,
    Do you have to have checkboxes? Can you use a multiselect list instead?
    If you can, then the following excerpt from the user guide may help you:
    Using HTMLDB_UTIL.STRING_TO_TABLE to Convert Selected Values
    Suppose you had a report on the EMP and DEPT tables that is limited by the
    departments selected from a Department multiple select list. First, you create the
    multiple select item, P1_DEPTNO, using the following query:
    SELECT dname, deptno
    FROM dept
    Second, you return only those employees within the selected departments as follows:
    SELECT ename, job, sal, comm, dname
    FROM emp e, dept d
    WHERE d.deptno = e.deptno
    AND instr(':'||:P1_DEPTNO||':',':'||e.deptno||':') > 0

  • How to access filled in values of an af:query component

    Hi,
    I have a viewobject with a viewcriteria defined on it. The results are showed in a result table. When a user selects a row from the result table a new page is showed with detail data. In that page i would like to show the user the filled in attributes with their values to remember the user to which search criteria the results correspond. How can i access the attributes with their values of a af:query component?
    Kind Regards,
    Andre

    Hi Andre,
    maybe you can try Frank's approach: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/fnimphius/AdfCodingQuickies.html
    I just tested for RichInputText:
        public String cb1_click() {
            parseQuery(query1);
            return null;
        private void parseQuery(UIComponent component){
          List<UIComponent> list = component.getChildren();
            for (UIComponent com : list){
             if (!(com instanceof RichInputText)){
               parseQuery(com);
             else{
                if (((RichInputText)com).getValue() != null) System.out.println( ((RichInputText)com).getId() + " : " + ((RichInputText)com).getValue() );
        }but the problem is with getLabel() - it will return null

  • How to access database sum value in JSTL way

    <sql:query var="queryresults" dataSource="${datasource}">
    SELECT sum(total) FROM invoice;
    </sql:query>
    <c:forEach var="row" items="${queryresults.rows}">
    <c:out value="*${row.total}"* />
    </c:forEach>
    The bold part was highlighted, the value was not display out. I am not sure the variable how to call, please advice.
    Thank you.

    rewrite your query so you give it a column alias:
    ie
    select sum(total) as total from invoice
    Then you can access it via the column name.
    <c:out value="${row.total}"

  • How to access screen field value in a module pool programming?

    Hi Experts,
       I have create a module pool program SAPMYDLG. It contains two screens 100 and 200.
       The first screen contains Employee_ID field. This field is not a dictionary field.
       In the second screen 200, I want to access the value of Employee_ID field from first screen.
       For this I created a global variable v_empid in TOP include.
       Then in the PAI of the screen 100 I have assigned the screen field value to global variable.
       v_empid = Employee_ID.
       But this gives an error saying " Field  Employee_ID not defined".
       What am I doing wrong? How can I access the screen field value?
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
    Employee_ID field also must u define in the top include when u define that 100 screen and 200 screen will access.

  • How to restrict or check values of field type drop down in context level

    Hi All,
    I need to know how Context Binding String option technique works for field in context node,
    the code at Get_V is like below,

          lr_descr->set_binding_string( '//Ident/Values' ).
          rv_valuehelp_descriptor = lr_descr.
    I seen Ident context node in this view, under attributes it don't have any values,

  • How to access a backingbean value without a JSF tag?

    Hi,
    I have the following problem:
    As I have my layout defined in CSS, I have a menu build up on an unordered list.
    the different menu entries have their own li with special formating.
    So my plain HTML design looks like this
    <ul>
    <li id="first">First Entry</li>
    <li id="second">Second Entry</li>
    <li id="third">Third entry</li>
    <ul>The first, second and third value of the id attribute should come out of my backing bean.
    But if I try to put a
    <li id="<h:outputText value="Welcome to the GDE Engine Framework." />">Here</li>just inside te id="..." I get an exception
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: javax.faces.FacesException: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "id" associated with an element type "null" must not contain the '<' character.If I think back to JSP pages, there was an +<%=variable %>+ option. Is there anything similar in JSF or how would I solve the upper problem?
    Hopefully someone of you has an idea
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    thanks for the hint regarding the Tomahawk components. There is a helpful one besides the t:dataTable called t:panelNavigation2 which has an attribute layout. If it's value is set to list, the output is rendered as a HTML unordered list.
    Does exaclty what I needs.
    Cheers

  • How to access a value from "List of Values" by giving a name?

    I have a "List Of Values" defined in my BI Report. It comprises list of label-value pairs.
    I have defined a parameter :p_Value for the above "List Of Values" defnition. this parameter is used in datasource sql defnition to filter the query results. I configured a template which has a table that shows all the parameters used for filtering query results. If I give <?$p_Value?> in the template then the parameter value is rendered on it. But I want the "name" of the parameter and not the value. Can anybody tell me how to access name of the parameter which refers to one of value in "List of Value" defnition?

    option 1:
    Can you get the value from the DB in the report sql ?
    You have the code, inside the report query, if you can get the decoded value form that
    option2:
    create another paramater, LOV and query, and make it as hidden, and use the first :param_1_value in the lov query in the second param and decode the value.
    Now , you can refer the :PARAM_2_value in template which will have decoded value.

  • How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

    Hi all,
    I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
    I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
    Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
    I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
    Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
    If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
    SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
    I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ranjith

    you could access the parameters entered in search region by the user as follows:
    You can get handle to the value entered by the user using queryListener method in af:query.
    You can intercept the values entered as described
    public void onQueryList(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    List<Criterion> searchList = qdes.getConjunctionCriterion().getCriterionList();
    for ( Criterion c : searchList) {
    if (c instanceof AttributeCriterion ) {
    AttributeCriterion a = (AttributeCriterion) c;
    a.getValues();
    for ( Object o : a.getValues()){
    System.out.println(o.toString());
    //call default Query Event
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    public void onQueryTable(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    private void invokeQueryEventMethodExpression(String expression, QueryEvent queryEvent){
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory efactory = fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression me = efactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,expression, Object.class, new Class[]{QueryEvent.class});
    me.invoke(elctx, new Object[]{queryEvent});
