How to acess a table in BW using Universe designer
I am trying to use this in table in x celcius for my dash board. I think By webi report u can access this table. SO I am tring to create a Universe based on this table in SAP BW.
There is no Cube ot DSO on this table.
Even I tried through JDBC Connection for Oracle 10 database but I do not know how to create universe on that.
Please help If there is any easy way.

I can edit the view in SQL Manager, so it seems strange that it fails.

How to find which tables are being used by a workbook.
I was asked by the client to generate a report which will show the Workbook name and it's corresponding tables/views.
Any idea on how to use the EUL tables for this purpose. I know the SQL query to find the tables in case the workbook was run at least once. But I want to show the Workbook and it's table details even the report was never run.

How to list all tables/stored procedures used by the report
All the reports i create are getting data from stored procedure(s). Is there a way to obtaining a listing of all the stored procedures without having to open report by report and check under Database > Set Datasource Location > Properties > Table Name?
Finding this info it would be extremely valuable, as it would help me to judge the impact of any changes that i might be considering to one or more of the stored proc.
So far i maintained a manual listing but it is not up-to-date and reliable. I would rather prefer to get an updated listing every time i want to change/drop a stored procedure.

I took a look .rpt inspector Pro but it does not do what i need. All i need is the the listing of all the database tables (in my case stored procs) used in my reports. No need to replace or change anything. I need to scan the directory where i have all the reports for the different applications and get report names and table/stored procs used. i can export the txt file to excel and that's all. -

I have an Excel file that contains a list of 200 seller codes. The list is updated on a weekly basis.
I need to create a query in Webi that shows ONLY those records in our main table that match one of the seller codes on the Excel list.
Is there an easy way of doing this? I don't really want to hassle our universe designer guy with a new file to import every week. But if that's the only way to do it, we will have to.
Back in BO v5 we used an Excel macro to add all the codes into a long text string with commas & pasted that into the query designer. Unfortunately there are many queries that need to be updated, so hopefully there's a way to automate this.

If you are going to adopt XI 3.0 sometime soon, then you will have a definite capability of doing what you want with a new product included in 3.0 called "Rich Client". At this moment I can't think of any other way to achieve what you want other than RC. How can I see what database tables are used in all my online reports? I have around 1000 reports posted to Enterprise over 6 different datasources. If possible I would like to see the fields within those tables that are being used to.
I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2

TomI don't think you can see the databases of the reports unless you download the report onto your pc as a Crystal Report format and then open it under Crystal Reports.
This way it will open the report within Crystal Reports and will show you the datasource it is coming from.
I doubt if you can see them online.

Once it starts, it uses a log table (MV Log) to track subsequent changes (i.e. it allows concurrent DML once it has started). At the end of the operation, it encounters another wait if there are existing transactions as it has to sync changes from the MV Log to the index.

There's an improvement in that only the transactions that were active at the instant when the CREATE .. ONLINE was issued are the ones it waits for. It does not have to wait on subsequent transactions.

How to create a Table of Contents using Pages 09?

I have little problems creating a Table of Contents in Pages, though it seems quite simple. I'm working with the template 'Term Paper' and I use paragraph styles (Title, Heading I, II, etc.). I have some very long documents (about 80 pages long) so I wanted to create a TOC (using sections) but it says:
The table of contents is empty because none of the paragraph styles selected in the Document Inspector are used in the document.
When I compare the paragraph styles I do use and the paragraph styles in the Document Inspector, they match. So I'm a bit upset about this because I really need to use this great feature!
Thanks for you answers guys!I would say: Try and Error. Create a copy of your document and unmark in the copied document in the document inspector all boxes for the TOC. Then mark them again. Maybe you should also delete the paragraph styles and mark them again. If that doesn't work, try to copy the complete text of your document to a new created one. Maybe that works.
