  • How can I run a servlet with Sun Java System Application Server PE 8?

    I've created a package with a TestServlet.class inside, used the deploytool to create a WAR and deployed this using the autodeploy folder.
    The filestructure has been generated and I find the TestServlet.class in
    [installdir]\domains\domain1\applications\j2ee-modules\testProject\WEB-INF\classes\[packagefolderstructure]\TestServlet.class.
    The context root is working fine, but I have no clue how I can run the servlet directly via the URL.
    I've tried many things like
    http://localhost:8080/testProject/TestServlet
    http://localhost:8080/testProject/servlet/TestServlet
    http://localhost:8080/testProject/servlet/[packagenamewithpoints]TestServlet
    http://localhost:8080/testProject/servlet/[packagenamewithslashes]TestServlet
    etc etc
    Can somebody tell me please how to write URLs to deployed servlets? Or send me an example url and xml descriptor files?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    in web.xml use servlet mapping
    <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>TestServlet</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/doit</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>then use http://localhost:8080/testProject/doit

    If you had already removed the device from 'Find My iPhone' in iCloud, then you jus tneed to powercycle the device in order to activate it.
    Source: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515
    "After the device is removed from the previous owner’s account, turn the device off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button located on the top-right side of the device. Then restart your device and proceed with device setup as you would normally."
    If it has not been removed, then the activation lock is still active.
    If the previous owner cannot remove the device from their account there is nothing you can do unless the place you purchased it from will give you a refund.
    Activation Lock: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5818
    What if I purchase a device that is still linked to the previous owner's account?
    Contact the previous owner as soon as possible and ask them to erase the device and remove it from their account. For complete instructions, read how to remove a device from a previous owner's account.
    How do I check for Activation Lock before purchasing a used device?
    When purchasing an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from someone other than Apple or an authorized Apple reseller, it is up to you to ensure that the device has been erased and is no longer linked to the previous owner’s account.
    Follow each of these steps to make sure that you can use the device you purchase:
    Turn the device on and slide to unlock.If the passcode lock screen or the home screen appears, the device has not been erased. Ask the seller to completely erase the device by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Do not take ownership of any used iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until it has been erased.
    Begin the device setup process.After choosing a language, choosing a country, and connecting to a network, the device will begin activation. If you are asked for the previous owner’s Apple ID and password, the device is still linked to their account. Hand the device back to the seller and ask them to enter their password. If the previous owner is not present, they can remove the device from their account by signing in to icloud.com/find. Do not take ownership of any used iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until it has been removed from the previous owner’s account.
    You will know that a device is ready for you to use when you are asked to “Set up your iPhone", “Set up your iPad", or “Set up your iPod” during the device setup process.

    I tried my Java Client program with rmi approach.
    In my program
    java.net.URL url = ClassLoader.getSystemResource("context.properties");
    return null for url, and the program stopped at
    props.load(url.openStream());
    Should I define the system properties somewhere before I run the client program, so that the url would not be null?

  • How to pass parameters to servlet with POST with  Business Service OSB

    Hi all.
    I am newby in OSB. I am trying to send some values through a POST call to a servlet. I know how to call the servlet with Business Service of type "Messaging Service". I send the parameters of type Text.
    I have tried several ways, but I don`t find the proper way yo do it. I have tried to insert the param into the body and into the header.
    The problem is that I don`t know exactly where to put them, I don`t know if it must be done in the header or in the boy. I neither don`t know if there is a common way to do this.
    Please, could you give me a good example of an insert activity to isert a post parameter inside the call?
    For example: now I am using this one:
    Expression => "accountType=test"
    Location => as first child of"
    XPATH => empty.
    In variable => body.
    Where do I have to insert this, in the body or in the outbounds?
    I have followed this posts:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/jeffdavies/entry/enhanced_rest_support_in_oracl
    http://www.yenlo.nl/en/using-osb-with-rest/
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    Please be carefull about passing values such as Strings or number that contains ',' .
    using the way described above.
    the best way is to pass an ID and then use a select Statement to get the other Values in the target page.
    regards

  • How can i deploy a servlet with eclispe

    Hello,
    will any one of u give me the steps to deploy a servlet with eclipse on portal server(J2EE Engine),
    in help of eclipse they given as, whole webapplication deployement, but that is also giving me a error, the procedure they given is, once we created a .war file for our servlet project we need to refer this to a .Ear file, and then this Ear can be deployed in to the server. Is it the same and only procedure to deploy a servlet with eclipse, or if there is any other method,please give me the steps also.
    when i am deploying with the .Ear file, it is giving the error as,

    Deployment exception : Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !
    but the sdm is working on the server with the same host, and local deployement is also done successfully, but from my system im not able to deploy!
    Thanks&Regards,

    Yeah, i am able to see the J2EE engine clusters, there the message server port is given as 3601. becoz scs instance number is 1 here. so it is not the problem,
    the error it is giving as,

  • How to send  a request to servlet from a java client.

    I called a servlet from java client using URL object.
    I could establish a connection with server and display
    the content(like req.getservername etc.,)
    of servlet on client side(DOS prompt).
    My question is how do i send a request to servlet from the client.
    let me say, i have to send a value as 10 to servlet and do some processing
    ( like 10*2 = 20) display the output (20) on client side..
    It will be appreciated if u can mention the syntax...

    just add the query string to the url you use to create the URL object from.

  • How can I have my servlet accept 100 concurrent client requests?

              My servlet extends HttpServlet so it is multithreaded. Then I have written a java
              client which starts 100 concurrent threads that try to contact the servlet.
              There are always lots of threads which are refused by the Weblogic Server 6.0.
              They get a 'Connection refused' exception. Sometimes there are 50 refused connections,
              sometimes there are 0 refused connections (not very often), sometimes there are
              80 refused connections (usually).
              I have checked the 'Servlet' documentation and the 'J2EE Design Considerations
              for Weblogic Server' which recommends not to exceede the execute thread count
              number of 15. I have not changed that value, I do not even know if it still exists
              in Weblogic 6.0 as the document refers to the 5.0 version.
              Does anybody know how to solve this problem? How can I have the client requests
              waiting rather than being refused? Of course the main goal is to serve all the
              client requests, not to refuse.
              This is the code that the client thread uses to contact the servlet:
              URL url = new URL("http://localhost:7001/examplesWebApp/myServlet");
              URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
              conn.setDoInput(true);
              conn.setDoOutput(true);
              DataOutputStream os = new DataOutputStream(conn.getOutputStream());
              os.writeBytes()
              os.writeBytes()
              Thanks for your time,
              David

              The key is
              KKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
              There you may need add a value "MaxUserPort" as REG_DWORD (5000 is default), also
              change "TcpTimedWaitDelay" to small number (30 is minimum). You may have trouble
              to find them. Just add them.
              You can also use Microsoft Web Application Stress Tool to test your Weblogic applications.
              As a free test tool, it is really powerful, although not so flexible.
              I guess you write your own test tool with java.net.URLConnection. I am not sure
              about the power of this class. In my case, I wrote my stress test tools with Java
              Socket. I can test application on Weblogic 6 with 1000 threads with my own tool
              and Microsoft tool, depending on memory and CPU of the machines I use. I run my
              tests on both Windows 2000 professional and Solaris.
              Check your CPU and memory usage with task manager.
              On the other hand, you should check log message on Weblogic 6. Try to turn on
              HTTP debug by add the following in your config.xml in tag <Server>.
              <ServerDebug DebugHttp="true" DebugURLResolution="true"
              JDBCConn="true" JDBCSQL="true" ListenThreadDebug="true" Name="myserver"/>

  • How to integrate 3D visual viewer with agentry android client

    Dear experts,
    I am working on SAP Work Manager 6.2,  integrating 3D visual viewer with agentry android client.
         - 3D Visualization is working with my WPF client
         - 3D Visualization is failing with my Android client (see below)
         - GIS is working on the same Android client.
    SAP® EAM and service mobile app SDK Installation Guide" version 1.0  indicates in step 5 to "Add Visual Enterprise libraries to the MobileAppsVELibrary project".  Could you confirm that this step is equivalent to copy contents of "DVL/Android/libs/" to libs folder of the MobileAppsVELibrary project? Is there other DLLs to copy in this step?
    3D Visualization on Android problem description:
    Code Levels:
    Eclipse => Luna 4.4.0 + ADT 23.0.4
    Agentry SDK => SMPAgentryClientFramework-Android-70.5.1.10.zip
    Mobile Apps Open UI SDK 1.0 => 51048778_5.zip
    SAP 3D SDK => SAP3DVisualEnterpriseApplicationsSDKv2_1.zip
    PB description:
    If I display VDS attachment, the screen is blank.
    ( If I display the 2nd attachment (image/jpeg), the image is displayed successfully on the Android device )
    ( If I click on the Locations link , the map is displayed successfully )
    I do not see an error the the android log.
    I am also getting some encrypted information on the Android client when I double click the blank screen and hit left/right arrows
    Regards.
    Regards.

    Hi Kunal,
    Thanks for your help. How do I checked that I have properly included the DVL libraries?
    I have implemented the following steps: (text in italic is extracted from the SAP® EAM and service mobile app SDK Installation Guide" )
    Thanks again. Didier.
    1. Add the Agentry SDK - Follow the instructions from the Open UI SDK documentation to set up the Android environment with Agentry Open UI projects in Eclipse.
    2. Add Common Library project in Eclipse
    3. Add VE Library project in Eclipse
    I have created the following projects from the files
    SMPAgentryClientFramework-Android-70.5.1.10.zip
    Mobile Apps Open UI SDK 1.0.51048778_5.zip
    b. Add MobileAppsVELibrary as a library in the AgentryAndroidClientSolution project.
    c. Copy the activities declaration
     AndroidManifest.xml
    4. Add VE Resources Library project in Eclipse
    5. Add Visual Enterprise libraries to the MobileAppsVELibrary project
    I have copy the libDVL.so files into AgentryAndroidClientSolition libs folder from the file SAP3DVisualEnterpriseApplicationsSDKv2_1.zip

  • How do you use .wsse policy file from Java Client?

    I'd like to call a WSSE enabled web service from my Java client but setup my encryption/signing requirements with a .wsse policy file.
    I know how to call a web service by programmatically setting up the security headers as described in:

  • Oracle 9i lite connection with a Java Client

    Hi,
    I would like to connect a Java Client developed using PersonalJava edition for PDA with an Oracle 9i lite version which is also on PDA.
    I would like to know is it possible to connect such a client (Java) using some JDBC drivers on PDA.
    if yes please do suggest a suitable driver and some input tips as to how to connect a GUI developed in Java directly to Oracle on PDA.
    I am not too sure whether some web/application server is required in the whole setup.
    because in N-Tier Architecture we have a middle layer of Application /Web servers in between a client screen(usually a Browser) and Database.
    but I am not aware weather it is possible to directly connect Java Swing or Client application as I mentioned above developed using Personal edition with a database using only some driver software but no other middle ware component in between.i.e forming a 2 tier client server model.
    please do let me know your valuable suggestions at [email protected]
    thanks,
    Ashish

    I connect to the database through the same user that created those tables. Do I still need a public synonym ?

  • How to invoke a proxy service from a java client

    Hi all,
    how could I invoke a proxy service from a java client ?
    The proxy service type is 'any xml service' with http protocol.
    For a proxy with web service type I can export the related WSDL and generate the java client source.
    With 'any xml service' there is no associated wsdl and I'm wondering how to do that.
    Thanks
    ferp

    Hi Ferp,
    I used ClientGEN to generate client files from WSDL deployed in ALSB. You can also use Axis for client file generation.
    You need to know the WSDL URL. Generate Client files from WSDL URL.
    Sample ANT Script
    <project name="simple-web" default="mytask" basedir=".">
    <taskdef name="clientgen" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" classpath="C:\bea92\weblogic92\server\lib\weblogic.jar"/>
    <target name="mytask" description="Generate web service client">
              <clientgen wsdl="http://<hostname>:<port>/URL?WSDL"
         destDir="src"
         packageName="com.client.mytask"
         classpath="${java.class.path}" />
         </target>
    </project>
    Use the following JAVA Code,
    try {
         ActivationService service = new ActivationService_Impl("http://<hostname>:<port>/url?WSDL");
    client = service.getActivationServicePort();
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    // Handle Exception
    client.activateNumber();
    Let me know if you need any more information.
    Thanks,
    Suman.

  • Still trying to go through the firewal with a java client.

    One of guys here suggested me to fix the available ports on the server computer and open that range of ports on the firewall so that the ejb client can talk to the server even the client outside of the LAN.
    However, my customer rejects the suggestion. Now we gonna have to give up on this very nice looking java client. Or take another year to conver this one to web service client....
    The java client used to communicate with the server through RMI with the fixed port. Now with migrating to j2ee, it's useless because ejb doesn't allow to communicate with the server through the fixed port.
    Or may be someone has a great idea to save our client application.

    hum...
    you might to try RMI-over-HTTPIf you think about the efficiency this is not the best way but could
    be only solution.
    We can't just give up this because somtimes a web server can be placed between firewalls in the DMZ and put an ejb container in LAN.
    In the above situaltion, if you are using the servlet to access application server you might have the same problem, too.
    Certainly, they didn't have time to think about the issue.
