How to add a column in alv grid report to show the serial no.

i need to add column to show the row no. of the report say as :

3
this has to be the first column
how to maintain a variable for this and how to use it??
please help

one simple way is in your final itab declare a slno type i field
data : begin of itab occurs 0,
slno type i,
<other fields>
end of itab.
after filling the data in itab.
loop at itab.
itab-slno = sy-tabix.
modify itab.
endloop.
in fieldcatalog also you have to define that slno field as the first column.
but it will change its order if you are sorting the output or filtering the output.

After fetching the data into the intenal table.
loop that internal table.
declara a variable of type character and length 1.
see the example code below
DATA : wa_space ,
 tbx TYPE sy-tabix.
wa_space = ' '. "---> press ALT+255 to get space
LOOP AT it INTO wa.
 tbx = sy-tabix.
 CONCATENATE wa_space wa-<fname> INTO wa-<fname>.
 MODIFY it INDEX tbx FROM wa TRANSPORTING fname.
ENDLOOP.

Hi,
the ALV Grid Control allows you to directly hide key columns with NO_OUT (field KEY_SEL is not used).
Field name:NO_OUT
Comp. type:LVC_NOOUT
Dtype(length):Char(1)
SPACE, 'X'
If you set this field, you hide the relevant column in the list. Nevertheless, the column is available in the field selection and can be interactively selected by the user as a display field. The ALV displays the contents of hidden fields on the detail screen for a row in the grid control.

I want to know how can we count the number of records in any column selected by the user. Like for oe customer there might be 20 sale order that means for 10 customer there will be 200 Sale order. So if i select cutomer number column ti should give 10 out put and whern select sale order it should give 200 as output.

Either you can use the hotspot_click event or double_click to show the Pop-up info of the Sales Order count or customer Count depending on the selection.
In the hotspot_click event method you have E_ROW_ID E_COLUMN_ID..using these you can find the Sales Ordert or customer Number.. Loop the internal table and find the Count.
In the double_click event method you have E_ROW E_COLUMN..using these you can find the Sales Ordert or customer Number.. Loop the internal table and find the Count.

How to Add new column in cross tab reports

I am using crystal reports 10
I created cross tab report for monthly sales. I need to add one more column in that report
ex:

In above data Parts are no limit, thatswhy i am taking cross tab report.
I am taking Month and Customer name as Rows,

Quantiry as Total fields in cross tab Report.
Here month field is storing as Transaction date in database, I am calculating by month
I am getting upto this.
User needs add one more field is Invoice no

in the fieldcatalog you are providing there is a field NO_OUT use this.
Loop over internal table and check fieldname. If fieldname = column you want to hide, NO_OUT = 'X'.

How to get the alv grid report in another screen when double click on basic

Hi.
I have created an alv report using class cl_gui_alv_grid.I got another report in the same screen,when double clicked on basic list(using double_click event).I want to get this report in another screen.What i have to do?(In classical reports i worked with sy-lsind = 1 ,but how to do here?)
How to set color to the selected rows in the alv grid report?I worked with change_data_from_inside method of cl_gui_alv_grid.But it didn't work out..

On double click event . you will have to call another screen say 9000.
now within screen 900 PBO.. you will have to prepare the fieldcatalog/layout.. and the table to be displayed there.
in PAI of screen 9000, you can return to the original ALV.
