How to add artwork to multiple tracks

I am having trouble adding artwork to multiple tracks of the same album. I highlight all tracks so the info comes up for the entire album. When I drag the artwork into the box it bounces back onto the desktop and won't add like it used to. I can go through and add art to individual tracks, but that is a very slow process. I am sure I am just missing something.

Instead of dragging artwork into box, double click on box. This opens a window where you can find and select the artwork.

ITunes 7 can't add artwork to multiple items in main window like iTunes 6

In iTunes 7 I can no longer add the same artwork to multiple items in the main window. For instance, I want the same cover art added to every track of a certain album. I select all the tracks, and the artwork window says "Drag Album Artwork Here", but when I do, nothing happens.
This used to work fine in iTunes 6. Is this a bug, a setting I am missing or something else? I know I can edit the artwork in the "Get Info" window but that's inconvenient when ripping a lot of CDs.

Even with "selected item" checked, it will not add artwork to multiple items. The method I am using is the method I have always used - highlight the whole album and drag a jpg from a web browser straight in. It makes a brief HD noise as if something is being accomplished, but the songs do not acquire any artwork.
However, if you only select one song, it will drag in seamlessly as always.

Titles: Photos menu -> Batch Change.

Write the file types in pattern Input string, separated by a semicolon ;
For example: *.vi;*.doc;*.jpeg;*.xls
This should return the set of files with matching extensions

How to add metadata to split tracks

I know how to do it to a single track but when i click on the next track it still show the name from the previous track. How to add metadata to split tracks for like a mixtape?

Thanks for the screenshots, very helpful.
Once you split them into different tracks, and each track is a different file on disk (as shown in your Windows Explorer / Finder screenshot), you'll want to:
Go through each file
Enter the desired metadata via the Metadata Panel (see below)
Save each file
If you're working with MP3 files, the relevant fields are the ID3 tags shown in this dialog:
If you're saving as WAVE files, the relevant RIFF metadata fields are shown in this dialog
Once you enter the info you want into those fields and the save the file, then it should show up in Windows Explorer which is what I think you're going for.

I record multiple tracks (3-5) from real instruments and vocals. I want to send these files to a collaborator to add more tracks to, but Garageband wants to mix these down (which I don't want). How can I send the multiple tracks files to my friend?

I have not found a way to do this without the process mixing down the tracks. I don't want them mixed down like when I send them to Itunes. Also I can't seem to just attach a file directly to an email for sending purposes. I thought I saw a method to do this with software instruments, but how do you do it with real instruments? I've tried every process on the "export" list to try to accomplish this, without success. Thanks for any breakthrough advice on this!

As isteveus said - for large projects uploading to a server would be best.

But for completeness's sake , you cou can mail a project, if you ctrl-click the project and use "Compress xxx.band". This will compress the project and create a zip file, that you can mail (if it is not too large). But ask your friend for the maximal file size allowed as a mail attachment.
But whichever method you use to share your project, be sure you include all loops and instruments, if your friend does not have the same JamPacks installed. You can bundle the loops into the project by saving it as an archive. "File > Save as" and check the "Archive Project" option.
If this option should be disabled, you can force it to become active by editing your project slightly. It is only available, if the project needs saving.

How to add metadata to multiple images via Template

Wonder if anyone can tell me if it is possible to add Metadata to multiple images using a metadata template. I see that I can add to multiple using Organizer but with that you have to type in the metadata. In Elements 11 I can do it using a template but only for 1 image at a time.
Is there a way to do this in Elements 11 or Organizer?

In the File properties dialog of the editor you can enter your values in the metadata tabs, then use the 'Import' button on the bottom of the dialog, switch to 'Export' and that exports your values as a template.
As far as I know, this is to be used in the advanced dialog of the downloader : you can use your templates at import time for a batch of images.
Otherwise, when you have selected many images in the organizer, you can click on the 'Add IPTC data' button in the tags panel on the right side : you have to enter the data which will be applied to all the selected files.

Multi cam sequence - how to take audio from multiple tracks?

I have a multi cam sequence with multiple audio sources (cameras plus separate audio tracks).
According to this page, in order to have multiple audio sources, I need to mix them into a track in the source sequence:

So I mixed several tracks into submix 1. But when I use the multi cam monitor, submix 1 is not available as an audio source.
Is it perhaps possible to mix audio into a non submix track? If so, how?

Multicam can only use audio 1, or audio follows video (you hear whichever track you see). There's no way to hear more than one track at a time.

I have a situation where i have to show data from one table in three adf tables on jsf page depending on a flag value in a column in table. For this purpose i have done the following steps
a) Created an entity object on the database table .
b) Created three view objects on this entity object and edited the view object's SQL and included the where clause
                   WHERE A.USER_PERSONAL_NO = :P_USER_PERSONAL_NO AND
                       A.AUTH_TYPE = 'LF'
                   The auth_type cloumn decided in which view object the data will be shown
Now, when i query the data from database by executing the query of these view objects the data is shown correctly in all three view objects. Till here there seems every thing ok
Now , i have to provide the logic to add records in the adf tables for this i have provided add button in action facet of all three tables which are binded to methods in managed bean,
when i add a record in a adf table by add button the new row which is created is shown in all three tables . I cant understand why this is happening , please help me to solve this problem.
How can i make it possible so that the record appears only in that adf table in which the record is added.
The method for adding record is

Can't edit informations or add artwork to certain tracks...

is there somebody that can help me with this?
I have iTunes 8. Among the several tracks i added to my library, there are some that are basically unaccessible: I right-click on them and go to the "Get Info" menu'; whereas the blanks can usually be filled and artwork can be added, these tracks seem locked... and the only visible informations in the blanks seem hard-wired into them... What can I do??
I've also gone into the hard-disk folder where the files are, taken off every kind of restriction/lock (always by right-clicking and going to "Get Info" menu') and re-importing them into the iTunes Library. However, same result...
Needless to say that the result is an anonimous cover in "Cover Flow".

I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with Mac file security, but on a PC not only would you you generally need to remove any restrictions, but you would also need to expicity grant your account permission to write to the file. On the PC these permission problems generally happen after the fact. The boxes are editable, and the screen may even update, but when you go back to the file the original values reappear. Are these purchased tracks by any chance? I bought some of the Pixar films from iTunes which had certain fixed fields similar to those you describe. In particular I recall the video kind was fixed to Movie which was annoying as I wanted to combine them into TV Show grouping in order to tidy up my library. Interestingly, iTunes 8 has removed this restriction for me, but perhaps iTunes has some undocumented locks on various fields which are affecting you. Have you tried a 3rd party tag editor?

Ah - as I was writing mine - you were writing yours...
Surely you can select the top level of your iTunes music folders & then explictly replace the permissions on all child objects, files & sub-folders in one operation to avoid further problems.

As you see, we add "All region" and "All product" here, and combine them with real product, region and quarter value to show aggregations.
Can anyone tell me how to get such table in webi? Can we implement it simply in report level?

Actually, this question is more focus on the report structure. I know the calculation context. In my first thought, I create the report similar with above one. The problem is in that case, there are a lot of duplicate rows. If you don't know what I am talking about, you can just take a little try in a real webi report sample.
The key of the question is about how to put the aggregated "All product", "All region" rows in the right place with right frequency and in a single table. As I said, it is more about the format/structure problem.
Any thought?

I saw in a tutorial that you can click on an audio track and add keyframes (small dots) and then use them to adjust sections of the audio track. When I click nothing happens. Is there a modifire key I need to use in combination?

I have created one table called employee_master which records all the details of employee.
The problem which i am facing is if the employee wants to update the details then it is over writing the original record in the master table.
what i want to do is if the employee is updating a record then it should be updated and stored in the different table and should not over write the original record of employee master table. and in future the modified data should be available to the employee.
to do this what i need to do. whether i need to create one more table or it can be done in employee master only. I am new to this application so don't know how to do it.

How To Select Range With Multiple Tracks

Hi,
Is there a way to set an In point within a large reel, and then set an outpoint so I can then select everything within that range to copy?
The Range Selection Tool is sort of useless here, as it only selects the Video track, not the V2 (above it) or audio tracks below it.
I especially need an option like this, for when I have a feature film all on one Reel, and then need to grab selections of it (each about 20 mins long) to copy and paste into their own separate reels. But using the click and drag option can be a nightmare sometimes, and you very frequently miss clips above and below the Video track.
Any help would be appreciated.

That creates the same problem though: In the Timeline Index, I can select either video, or audio, or titles. But not all 3 at the same time. I'm trying to create a range over all three of those elements... and quite a wide range.
I seem to recall Final Cut 7 having a way to set the Slider tool, and then click an option that said, "Select all media to the right."
