Hi,
Deleting a record from a standard table can be done only if table maintenance exists - Cehck tcode - SM30. But it is not advisable to delete records, coz the records may be dependent on many other tables. If u delete in a single place, there may be chance that inconsistency in the data happens and hence will affect ur financial statements.

How are you creating the tree pro-grammatically?
If you are adding a new node to underlying data structure and refresh the tree - the tree will get updated with the new data.

Error while appending structure into BSEG Table

We had appended BSEG table with a ZSTRUCTURE to enable Custom field in MIRO. Subsequently there was a change required in the appended field. After Changing the field there was adjustment required to activate the appended table . However due to slow system performance during that time the Adjustment SE14 timed out. And created inconsistency in BSEG table.
If I Do the Table adjustment now it is showing below error.
We tried to delete the append structure also but the structure is not appearing in the append structure list to delete.
Even if we try deleting the Z structure from se11 it is throwing below error.
Any one could help me out to resolve this..

Please First Check if the Database version and disctionary version are in sync.
Also, it could be the case that you would have enhanced an already existing Append stucture. which might be being used in other BKPF dependent tables.

What this data shows are the percentiles for test scores for different tests for each school who took the tests.
It seems like creating a view to arrange the data through a bunch of selects and unions would work, but I can't figure out how.

Tricky.
When confronted with a problem like this I try to write out an algorthm in pseudocode to work out what I want to do. If you have more than 2 or 3 tables to merge I'd consider going with a new structure; otherwise the view approach might be a good idea. Remember that if you go with a new structure you can insert once and update the other values later, something like
foreach school insert row
update testname1
update testname2

I have one advanced table that contain one messageChoice and messageTextInput field.
I want to add new rows in advanced table. I can able to add rows using the AddMoreRows button in the footer of the advanced table,
but I want to add attribute value(contactId) each time when new row created.
contactId I am getting from pageContext.getParameter("contactId")
How to achive this? Please suggest.

Hi,
There are two ways to do it.
1. Use create method of entity object, create method fires whenever you creates new row.
2. Handle the event raised by addanotherrow button and write logic there to initialize contactid as you are getting contactid from pageContext so I will suggest you to use this method.
if (tableBean.getName().equals(pageContext.getParameter(SOURCE_PARAM)))
&& ADD_ROWS_EVENT.equals(pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM)))
//write your logic here to default the contact id

In your code you should use
INSERT WPN_PC_ZOBA INTO IPN_PC_ZOBA.
This is the only way to append data to a hashed table. It will also only work as long as wpn_pc_zoba-vbeln is unique in the hashed table.
If you are getting an error, what does the error say?

and choose the Delete line option by right clicking.

How to compare the structure of multiple tables ..have only TOAD & PUTTY

Hi,
Many times i get a request to load some tables' data from one schema to another . But before doing that i need to compare the structures of the tables in the source & target schema.
How can i do that? The list of tables keep on changing every now & then. In TOAD there is no option to compare a selected list of tables. Comparing the whole schemas is not a option before me as the schemas are too huge and it takes a lot of time to do the schema level comparision.
Note this is a client machine and we are not allowed to install any s/w.
I am working on making a unix script which does that for me. But that may take some time considering the hectic work schedule and my poor knowledge of unix scripting.
Can someone suggest some way to do it?

You can try this one. I created this static table just for viewing purpose.
Open Create View Object wizard
Choose, “Rows populated programmatically, not based on a query” which is 3rd radio button option
In Attribute tab, create some ‘Updatable’ Attributes
Choose the AppModule in the final step.
Drag and drop the view object as ADF table.
Next, programmatically insert data in your backing bean.
        ApplicationModule applicationModule = this.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("TmpTableAppModuleDataControl");
        ViewObject vo = applicationModule.findViewObject("ProgViewObj1");
        Row newRow = vo.createRow();

Hi Piyush,
That table control might have been created using an internal table i.e declared in the exit. Add two more fields which you want to that internal table. And come to the layout and create table control once again using that internal table.
