I need to place an image in pdf file programmatically on a specific location. Would you please help me what should I use to do this task?

You probably want to use a PDF library designed for the task (or a
stamping tool). Are you looking for recommendations for such a tool?
If so, what platform/environment/programming language?
Or, are you looking to do it by directly read/writing the PDF file?

Hello!
We use SAP Portal as interfase to access SAP MDM repository tables.We use MDM Record Set and MDM Item Detail iViews to display and operate with main table content.
There is a field in the qualified table, which is the lookup to the Images table. And the other field is the lookup to the PDFs table. Both fields are qualifiers.
In the main table there is a field, which is the lookup to the qualified table. When we try to add values to this field using Item Detail iView, we get a window, where we can fill all values of the qualified table, except Image field and PDF field - they are disabled. So, can we add Images and PDFs to the table using Item Datail iView? Or what is the other way to add them?

This kind of operation can't be done in Acrobat. You'll need some stand-alone tool, or maybe a plugin, to do it.

Joe, after going around in circles for a week trying to discover why I sometimes could save and other times not, I figured it out. It might be the same problem you are having. Believe it or not, I found that it depended on how I opened the PDF file that I wanted to write into (in my case, I had form fields in a "fillable" form). If I opened the file by pulling down the FILE menu on the Adobe Reader screen and clicking on OPEN, I could write into it and save it again. But if I opened the file by clicking on its name in some menu, so that the computer had to find which application could read that file and then open Adobe, when I wanted to save again after writing something in, I got the same error message that you described. I had no such problem on my wife's Mac. So I concluded it was a bug (surprise, surprise) in VISTA. So if you have VISTA (especially Home Premium), we might have found your problem. I'm creating PDF on the fly but I'm unable to get the image in it. It says Invalid path if i give the path like this Image image =new Image( request.getWebResourcePath() + /images/MyLogo.gif","picture Mylogo.gif");
And also I have tried like this

I have kept the image in /images folder.
Still i'm facing path problem....

Your images will be stored under..
NWDS path :
dist/images/your_image.gif
Server path:
E:\usr\sap\DP4\JC04\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\your_par_name\images\your_image.gif
you can access the image from this server path..
->
request.getPrivateResourcePath() will give you the path upto ..
E:
usr
sap
DP4
JC04
j2ee
cluster
server0
apps
sap.com
irj\servlet_jsp
irj
root
WEB-INF
portal
portalapps\
come back 2 directories back upto..
root\your_par_name\your_image_name

You'll find the Add Image tool in the Content Editing pane of the Tools panel:
If you don't see it there, make sure that you're using Acrobat, and not Adobe Reader, as these editing tools are unique to Acrobat.

Don't know how to store/show image or pdf files easily in apex app

Hi,
I always want to put a blob column in my table and store some images or pdf files, like drawings for an item, but I found it hard to do, I have viewed the sample app by apex 4.0, but I cannot understand the code.
Is there a simple and intuitive way of storing/showing pdf files in an apex app?
I wish Oracle could make an easier wizard for apex on that issue.
just make storing a file as simple as in MS access, or email attachment, etc.

Maybe this helps for a start, even if it isn't as easy as in MsAccess but this may be due to the fact that APEX is a web application and Access a rich client.

Adobe PDF Pack is an online subscription--it definitely allows you to combine several files into one PDF file. For more information about PDF Pack, see Reliably Create PDFs, Convert PDFs, & Merge PDFs Online | Adobe PDF Pack. If you don't have the full version of Acrobat, this is a great solution for combining PDF files.
However, if you're using Acrobat (not Adobe Reader), you combine files by following these steps:
Open a PDF file that you want to add pages to.
Click the Pages pane on the Tools panel (on the right side of the application).
Click Insert From File, and choose the file that you want to combine with the PDF that you opened in step 1.
Make any changes necessary in the Insert Pages dialog box--these settings determine where the new file will be inserted.
Click OK.

To combine more than 12 files:
Please do below to combine files:
Log into https://createpdf.acrobat.com/signin.html with your Adobe ID and password
Select "Combine Files" from right pane
Click "Select Files" button
Select your files to combine
Enter a name for combined PDF file
Click "Combine" button
Click "Download" button in the progress bar to download the combined file to your computer.
To combine more than 12 files:
Combine 1-12th files and name it “combined 1” for example
Combine 13-24 files and name it “combined 2”
Keep doing step #1 and #2 and combine those combined files to combine all your files.
You can use Acrobat XI Pro to combine multiple files (more than 12 files) by following the steps below and you can download Acrobat XI Pro Trial version from www.adobe.com:
In Acrobat XI Pro:
1. Launch Acrobat
2. Select File menu > Create > Combine Multiple Files into a Single PDF
3. Click "Add Files" button at top left corner
4. Select your files to combine
5. Click "Combine Files" button at bottom of the dialog.

Acrobat is capable of repairing the damaged PDF' ,however it depends on the requirement as to how do you want to repair them.
There could be several reasons that can damage a PDF.
We need to know the cause that has damaged those PDF' and how exactly you want to repair them in order to assist you accordingly .

How can I quickly view pdf files like I can do with Windows Picture and Fax viewer for jpg files? I need to look at several thousand PDF files. It takes too long to open each one individually. The only thing I could think of is combining them into large groups and then using the Navigation index. But I like the way windows Picture and Fax Viewer does it because you can keep the files separate. Combining PDFs causes loss of individual file names. That would be a problem since I do need to have the individual file names.

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is a DLL and is started via a rundll32.exe call and can't be set as an application to handle images in Firefox 3 and later versions.
Try to set Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as the default viewer in Windows, then it should be listed automatically in the Mozilla Firefox Browse dialog.
