How to add JDK reference to JDeveloper Help?

In older JDeveloper versions I was able to invoke the help window with the API documentation of a class by pressing
the F1 key while the cursor was somewhere within the class (or variable) name.
With JDev 903 I am struggling to add the JDK documentation (which actually comes within the JDev ZIP file!). With the cursor
in the middle of the the word "String" I only get an error message when pressing F1.
How can I include the JDK reference in JDeveloper?

I unzipped the full distribution (including SDK) into
a directory. Pressed F1 with the cursor in String and the file:
\j2se\1.3\docs\api\java\lang\String.html
was displayed inside the IDE main window.
Are you doing exactly the same thing?

How to add assembly reference in Window Universal App project?

Hello All,
Thanks for reading my question. I'm migrating a Windows Phone project into the new universal environment, but I'm missing a place to add the assembly reference for the code. One instance that is, I'm using System.Net.Sockets, but it says "Sockets does
not exists in the namespace 'System.Net' (Are you missing an assembly reference?)". So do the case of Background.
In the old version, I can add the reference from right click on the "References" from the Solution Explorer, but it is not working in the Universal one.

How to add check tables or search helps to search help parameters?

Hello Forum!
I have made a Z-Search help, and I have a problem with some of my parameters.
The field (MARC)-EKGRP (Purchasing Group) has a check Table (T024) and the matching search help (H_T024).
I seem to find no possibility to add this check Table search help to my EKGRP parameter in my Z-Searc Help.
(Therefore, the End-User has to type it in Manually, there is no F4 funktionality...)
Is there a way to do this?

PS: I´m experiencing the same problems with other fields as well: to parameter (MARA-)MFRNR I would like to add the seach Help 'KRED', for it appears on my Z-Search Help. And so on....

This is certainly the right direction to look for a solution.
However, i can not get it to work.
In debugger Mode I have populated the SHLP-FIELDDESCR field 4AVAILABL with X.
Result: The button for the search help appears. But when I click on it, nothing happens.
I than also tried this in combination with populating the fields:
REFTABLE
CHECKTABLE
No search Help window opened..
I did not find a fileld where I can indicate the Search help in the SHLP Structure.
Am I missing out on something?

How to add a reference to help for a custom tag

Hello,
I would like to add an icon (question mark icon) to my custom tag (in tag libraries view). Then, when I press this icon I would like to see some .html page with description of a tag as it is done for a struts tags.
Is it possible?
If yes please tell me how to do it.

There are a variety of customization options available for BEA Workshop. Through metadata you can define renderings for custom tags, tag appearance in the tag libraries view, customize the tag editors, and much more.

Adding custom tag documention to the Tag Libraries view is not currently a configuration option but would be a useful addition. I will file an enchancement request for this functionality.

How to add JAR files in JDeveloper 10.1.2

Hi,
We have developed a J2EE project using JDeveloper. Now, i have to add Upload CV functionality to the application. I want to use the classes provided by org.apache.commons.fileupload which is there in the commons-fileupload-1.2.2.jar file provided by them. My problem is i am unable to add this JAR file to my project. When i try to add this JAR file using the Project Properties of my project. Its asking me to browse the path of the J2SE Executable or EDIT the Class Path or Source Path or Doc Path. There is not option to add JAR files. If the JAR file is not added, its showing the errors:
imported class 'org.apache.commons.fileupload.disk.DiskFileItemFactory' not found exception..
Please let me know how i could associate JAR files to my project so that the upload files functionality is implemented. Will be desperately waiting for any assistance....

Thanks John, that was helpful. After i added the JAR file, its showing me the following error:
Error(479,16): class FileUploadException not found in class htdocs.recruitment._regMain.CommonsFileUploadServlet
Is there any specific location where i need to keep my JAR file or i can browse it from anywhere?

Is it possible to add GroupLayoutManager to the Property Inspetor (Layout option) in JDeveloper 11g ?
If so, how can it be added.

You could simulate a property by using a category to add a getter and setter (and maybe repurpose an unused property or kludge a static dictionary to provide storage for each instance?). But you'd need to subclass to actually add an instance variable.

I found the reason. The function Z_WEBRFC_READ_DATA_SH had a string concatenation error.
CONCATENATE '{"results":[{"key": "shlpname", "value": "' l_shlp '"},"key": "fieldname", "value": "' l_field '"}]}' INTO htmldoc-line.
The correct code is like:
CONCATENATE '{"results":[{"key": "shlpname", "value": "' l_shlp '"},{"key": "fieldname", "value": "' l_field '"}]}' INTO htmldoc-line.
Another question is, I can't get any words in Chinese from WebRFC. It returns error when I try it. How can I configure it?

How to add pl sql query into help text of an item.

In my database i have added comments to the colums. I would like to use this comments in the help text of the items of my application. I have the query but when I use it in the help text attribute it does not execute the query, it presents the query.
Any ideas?

It is probably too late now, but note that if you create your application using the Create Application Wizard and Application Models, based on User Interface Defaults created in the SQL Workshop, any column comments will automatically become application help text.

here what my requirement is i need to do search multiple times to add some roles to from some different categories.here whenever i searched i ll get some roles into table there i ll select some role and i ll click add buttion. whenever i click add i need to add those roles into some other table finally i ll submit added roles.

i used the same thing before i go for table check box concept.here what i observed is when i search i am getting some results i am able to shuttle.but if i search again the shuttle is refreshing with new values even not available list its refreshing selected list. IF dont want refresh selected ones.
my usecase after make some searches I will select some roles from different categories at finally i ll submit.
i hope you understand me requirement. please suggest me is this requirement is possible in shuttle component? if yes please guide me.
