How to add machine activity to service cost centre
please clarify, i want to calculate machine cost on service cost centre, wheather it is possible ? how ?
please explain the steps.
Hi,
You have a work center with service cost center in it. Asign machine cost activity type to this work center.
In routing, along with your other operation, add booking of m/c cost operation also.
You have to maintain machine cost activity in KP26.
While confirmation, system will propose the value as per routing for machine cost.
You machine cost against the required service cost center will be certainly booked.
Try it now.

as far as usage of activity types under cost center is concerned it is addressed by ist reply to your query by another SAP Guru.
with respect to Direct activity allocation,
When we know the source cost center and target cost center then we allocate the activities from source cost center to Target cost center (T.Code KB21N)
The cost is picked from the planned price given at KP26.
Withe respect to Indirect activity allocation:
We do not know the Traget Cost center in this case.
First we need to enter the activity consumption in the sender cost center (source cost center).
Then we need to allocate then indirectly to the target cost centers on some allocation basis using distribution cycles

Where you are going to activate activity type in cost centre

whenever i am trying to assign activity type in cost centre, it is not allowing to save that particular type of cost centre.
also it is giving error as activity price planning is not done for this cost centre

GL account - You can define in SPRO- Cross application settings--Account assignment ->Define GL account for product category and account assignment category.
or you can use BADI BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT.
In Organisation Strucute - You can Map the backend cost center via KNT cost center attribute .

How to calculate actual activity price using cost center balance
I have a problem,the case is that: i have two pro.order. orderA settlement to cost center M; orderB is a standard pro.ord,and the work center of orderB link to cost center M. when i calculate the actual activity revaluation.the activity price update the PRO.ordA and B,and the cost center is zero.
when i settlement the order A,the cost center M is not balance,so i must calculate the actual activity revaluation again.
now,i want to calculate the actual activity revaluation from the cost center's balance,not the Dredit balance.so how can i calculate the actual activity revaluationdid you also assigned the cost centre to splitting structure?
what is not working? the cost are equally distributed on both activities? -

Our PP is not yet live now.
While going through the system settings, it is found that many activities (approx. 15 for indirect expenses also) are planned in the Production Cost Centres.
However, these activities are not included in the master data of the Work Centre. Only one activity type is mentioned there for machining.
Then, what is the purpose of other activity types planned if they are not mentioned in the Work Centre ?
Is there any other way these activity costs will appear in the Cost report ?Hi,
You are almost on the right line, activity quantities will be triggered in the cost center report based on the routing master and through the confirmation from the production orders.
For the creation of the work center - Activity Planning KP26 is required. Cost center/Activity
where we can plan the activity quantities.
Prior to that KP06 is required to plan the primary cost combination of (Cost Element/Cost center/Activity Type) where we can plan the cost.
Based on the above information we can calculate the plan price - KSPI
Based on the confirmation from the production orders activity quantities will be updated in the center report. cost will be updated with actual postings in the cost center.
So that you can calculate the actual activity price.

How to assign search help for custom cost centre field in SRM 7.0

We are currently working in SRM 7.0.As per our business requirement, in account assignment tab we need to use a custom
cost centre field (ZCOST_CENTRE) instead of standard cost centre field.It is observed that for standard cost centre field there is a standard web-dynpro search-help assigned where it will return the F4 search help values from backend.
Can any one of you please help me how can I assign the search-help for the custom cost centre field. Is there any FM to call the backend cost centre search help for custom field or any other way how can I achieve this?

i can see your requirement in below way..
as it just reads: you need to assign the standard cost center help to a z cost center field in component /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_DO_ACC.. which actually is fetched though the component /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_BACKEND_SH
so, if you see the component controller of SAPSRM/WDC_UI_DO_ACC you will see the component
USAGE_SH_F4 /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_BACKEND_SH
USAGE_SH_F4 /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_BACKEND_SH INTERFACECONTROLLER
so you can replicate the same functionality for your z field.
but can you clarify one thing.. why are you going for this z field in place of standard field ? -
Assignment of Activity Types to Cost Centre
hi,
i am creating a work centre and for costing purposes i need to give the activity type and the cost centre.
even though i have defined an activity type and in it used an allocation cost element which in term is assigned to a cost centre,in the work centre when i search for the activity type the system shows an error.....No activity types assigned to cost center X, controlling area Y on 07.02.2007 where X and Y are variables ofcourse.
what could be the possible reason?

Check using KL02 or KL03 again, especially the validity dates of the activity type and may be the coster center KS02, KS03 as well. I hope, that controlling area is fine.

As we said for the action box you can open it from the cic0 in another screen.
Then with the standard facsheet you can't do it, but if you want to develop it, should be no problem, but I think it's quite hard. Look in forum for facsheet modifications, and you'll have an idea, of what it can suppose.
Explain a bit more, why do they want this report? how are they going to use it? so I can give you other ways to arrive to the same point.

or try coping new condition from std condition for surcharge and use it so ur cost will get load on ur mat cost

How to add a new database service name to 9iDS

I installed 9iDS and 9iDB on my laptop which worked fine for few months. I had trouble with 9iDB I/O system so I reinstalled 9iDB with a new SID name. I updated 9iDS by replacing old SID name with new SID name in tnsnames.ora file but it did not work.
Please someone suggest where should I update in 9iDS to access my newly installed database service with new SID so that forms appication builder can connect properly.
Currently it is saying :
ORA-12514: tns listener could not resolve service name given in connect descriptor.
