How to add server runtime

Hi, I created a java project that has util classes. I need to use the HttpSevlet API. So i tried to add weblogic libraries. But it says "Weblogic System Libraries can only be used with projects that target a Weblogic Server runtime". Then I click the Server Runtime, but it's empty. how can I bring in the Weblogic Server runtime? I know I have it since the same project was imported fine. I just want to create a fresh project from the scratch and take the source from the imported proejct. I noticed that in the imported project there is a Oracle Weblogic Portal Server entry. But when I add it, it shows Error: No Oracle Weblogic Server Runtime on project... Thanks!

Thank you. That's exactly what I am looking for. I thought utility project is just a java project, but now I realize utility is under J2EE. However, utility doesn't have log4j included. I know log4j is in modules under install. what's the good way to add it in? I tried to add as External jar, but I got Classpath Dependency Validator Message error:
Classpath entry C:/oracle/Middleware/modules/com.bea.core.apache.log4j_1.2.13.jar will not be exported or published. Runtime ClassNotFoundExceptions may result.      
Also the project eventually needs to be a jar file to be distibuted and I have ant build file to build it already. Can the build be part of the project setup, meaning using the ant build? Thanks!

    you can't do it with an unmounted disk directly. make an alias to the mounted disk and put the alias in the sidebar.

    Make sure that your DC has only one network interface enabled and one IP address in use. DCs network connection properties should point to its own private IP address as primary DNS server and 127.0.0.1 as secondary (assumes single DC). Put public
    ISP DNS servers set as forwarders only (if applicable).
    On the client computer, make sure that it points to your DC as primary DNS server only and no public DNS server is configured in its network connection properties.
    Client should have local DNS address ONLY so client can find and logon to domain. Forwarders are so clients can find and resolve internet queries.

  • CR for Eclipse 1.0 with Web AS as server runtime - how to?

    Hello!
    I'm going to learn Crystal Reports for Eclipse 1.0.
    In any tutorial about CR I have seen that only Apache Tomcat mentioned as used Server Runtime, not Web AS. Eclipse has predefined tempates for some of servers but there is no Web AS.
    Is it possible to setup Eclipse for working with Web AS 7.0 and if yes how I can do this? Or it will be better to use Tomcat in local development?

    Not sure what Web AS is, but have you tried searching for an Eclipse plugin for that server?  Since Eclipse is open source, someone may have written a plugin that you can add to the Eclipse IDE.
    If you can't find a plug in, you can either create a Tomcat test server in the IDE (this is preferable) or you can export the project as a .war to your application server.

    Hi, been surfing the web for an example on how to add a certificate to the "global" IIS "Server Certificates" list using PowerShell but to no luck. I already have code in place on how to tie / associate a specific website with a specific cert but not how
    to add the new .cer file using the "Complete Certificate Request..." wizard using PowerShell.... I dont expect the final code to become published but if someone had an idea on howto integrate / get an entry point on where to interact between the "Server Certificate"
    list in IIS and POSH I would be super happy! :|
    I am runnign IIS on a Windows 2008R2 x64 Standard Edition if that helps..... of course, I would saddle for an CLI if there is no other way, but POSH is of course the way to go! :)

    Although it comes close, the suggested code example points on howto import / incorporate .pfx files - I am getting fed by .cer files which I need to add into the IIS console using POSH.
    I tried explore the IIS.CertObj object but was not able to work out if this one could be used for importing / adding .cer files into IIS! However, launching the following command from a POSH console with Import-Module Webadministration already
    loaded into that shell;
    $certMgr = New-Object -ComObject IIS.CertObj returns the following error message:

    More or less the one thing that I am trying to get up and running is an automated FTPS solution - I just use the IIS console to be able to troubleshoot / compare how things scripted from POSH interacts in the MMC representation. The error I am getting
    might be that I am lacking some IIS components to be in place to be able to automate some parts of the IIS - as suggested by the IIS.CertObj object listed in the example..... I will get back if I can track down which component needs to be added to be
    able to reference the IIS.CertObj object.

    We are using distributed partitioning views in SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition for scaling out our data across more than one servers. Now we faced to question how to add a new node (server) into the scale outed db servers system without sending the servers
    down, so our users will be able to use them during the process as well.
    For example we have 4 servers with scaled out data. When we add the new empty server, the CHECKINGs for the partitioning columns should be reorganized. But during the process the partitioning views are not working.
    The High Availability, Always On or Failover Cluster approaches seem are not resolve the problems.
    So my question is how to add new node online?

    Yes, it's sounds as possible solution but has some not resolvable nuance in it. Let's say we copied some data from Node5 to new added Node6. Let's assume in Node5 we had data in Table1 with partitioning column's values 100,101,102,103,104,105,106.  Now
    we want to copy part of the rows with partitioning column's values 103,104,105,106 from Node5.Table1 into Node6.Table1. With this Node5 will contain less data and will work more quickly (less IO, less CPU usage etc), and the rest data will be contained on
    Node6. But because of Node5 is already in use, the Node5.Table1 contains CHECK CONSTRAINT = ParttionColumn should be from 100 up to 106. This is check for Node5. The Distributed Partitioning Views are already using the CHECKs to identify what server should
    be used to get data from.
    Now when we copied part of the Node5.Table1 rows to Node6.Table1 the views are still using the 103-106 rows from Node5.Table1 because the CHECK points there. Then we include the newest Node6.Table1 in the distributed partitioning views. OK, but we should
    set some CHECK on new Node6.Table1 which will be used by views. We can't set intersecting checking like Node5 has CHECK 100-106 and Node6 has CHECK 103-106. We also can't edit Node5 check and set it 100-102 untill the data will be removed in it. But this means
    that the data will not be available during the execution. 
    So, any ideas ?

    Does anyone know if the Servlet API provide any methods to dynamically discover app server runtime properties such as which http and https ports the server is listening at?
    It's not the same as ServletRequest.getServerPort() which only give you back the port the incoming request comes from.
    I want to be able to say redirect user requests to https, WITHOUT in advance knowledge of the https port configured for the app server, which means no hardcoding of the port number.

    That said, what you're trying to do - not using parameters - is the wrong thing to do. Not only it is insecure due to the risk of SQL injection but in the case of binary data is also inefficient since these hex strings are larger than the original byte[]
    data.

    the steps are under the assumption that you have a system already configured in the portal.
    the values for the BusinessObjects server are just properties. If you don't have a system configured you would have to create a system first - otherwise you can set these properties for an exisitng system

    In the Net Manager utility, in the left-hand pane left click Oracle Names Servers, left click on your nameserver.
    Click the "+" button in the upper left, that should be enough to get you started- sorry, all our 9i installs have gone away, can't exactly recall the nix X gui version of client program, but I think* its netmgr, should be in OH/bin.
    If you're running a java OEM console that cames with 9i clients, Net Manager is available on that little Butler tab.
    And for the command line version, running the namesctl utility- you can save a tns entry with the connect string and run it in a file, just like sqlplus, with an @filename:
    vi newtns.txt
    register newtns -d (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=...(SERVICE_NAME=NEWTNS.MYCO)))
    $ namesctl
    @newtns.txt
    query newtns *
    reload -- nameserver sync
    query newtns *
    exit
