the code seems to be correct....but where are you writing it?
put the code in the wddoinit method and it should work.

  • How to add views to web-ui?

    hi,
    i am new to sap.
    this is my very first day in SAP.
    i wanted to ask the step by step proceedure of making a view in web-ui?
    can anybody help this SAP-KID!!!!!!!!!
    thanks,
    Anhitya Kashyap

    Hi Anhitya,
    Welcome to SAP World.
    You have to follow the following steps in order to create a view.
    1. Go to Bsp_wd_cmpwb transaction.
    2. Enter the component name and create it, you can create a view in a component only, if you have to create in a standard one then you need to enhance that component.
    3. Once you are in the component workbench, there you can right click on views and click create view, it will start a wizard to create.
    you will find blogs with screenshots on how to create component and views, check those blogs.
    Thanks
    Raman

      ENDTRY.
    gr_table->display( ).

    I understand the CARRID column is not a checkbox, so you might mean something else entirely. If all you need is to toogle a checkbox value on click, then
    - first make the checkbox a hotspot
    gr_column->set_cell_type(  if_salv_c_cell_type=>checkbox_hotspot ). " constant value 6
    - implement a handler to the hotspot event
    DATA gr_events TYPE REF TO cl_salv_events_table.
        gr_events = gr_table->get_event( ).
        SET HANDLER ??->handle_hotspot_click FOR gr_events.
    - Your handler must toogle the checkbox value and refresh the display, something like
        METHOD handle_hotspot_click.
        FIELD-SYMBOLS <ls_item> TYPE spfli.
        READ TABLE ispfli INDEX row ASSIGNING <ls_item>.
        CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
        CASE column.
          WHEN 'CARRID'.  " your checkbox column
    *       Toogle Value
            IF <ls_item>-carrid EQ 'X'.
              <ls_item>-carridl = space.
             ELSE.
              <ls_item>-carrid = 'X'.
            ENDIF.
            gr_table->refresh( ).
        ENDCASE.
      ENDMETHOD.

  • How to add "Traffic lights" to a webdynpro table

    Hi guys!
    What are the necessary steps to modify a Table cell in a table control in abap web dynpro.
    In particular i need those "traffic lights" in a table.
    can someone help me?
    thanks!

    Hello Thomas ,
                          Create an Attribute (say  LIGHT ) in the table node with type String .
    Now create a table column for this attribute and the cell editor for this column should be an
    'IMAGE' ui element . bind the attribute with ui element .
    Now at  runtime fill the LIGHT attribute with following values as required :
    light = 'ICON_RED_LIGHT'.
    or
    light = 'ICON_GREEN_LIGHT'
    or
    light = ''ICON_YELLOW_LIGHT'
    I hope this will help you .
    Regards
    Vivek
