How to affect the actual FPGA clock rate?

Hallo,
I developed a FPGA-VI, which should run with 80 MHz clock rate on the PCI 7833R board.
This was no problem at the beginning, but meanwhile the code got bigger (Slices: 30%). Now the compiler says that there is an error with the timing constraints. The maximum clock it can reach is 74 MHz.
Unfortunately I need the 80 Mhz to be fast enough.
What parts of the code influence the actual clock rate?
How can I get it faster?

I think you missunderstood what I mean:
The problem is not how many ticks a while loop needs for one cycle.
The problem is the clock rate setting for the FPGA-board. It is set to 80 MHz and not the Default 40 MHz.
When I compile my VI the compiler reports that it can't keep the 80 MHz. That means for example that a Single Cycled Timed Loop doesn't need 12.5 ns but for instance 13.4 ns.
If I separate my code in 2 parts and compile each part as a separate project, the compiler can keep the 80 MHz. Only together it doesn't work.
So the whole problem has something to do with the size of the project, the depth of the structures etc.
So I need to know for example what structures slow down the clock most, or something like that.

    I am sure you must be getting the values in tables of table parameters from every FM.
    consolidate the values from tables of all FMs in one table and built ALV for that table only.
    I hope this way you can show the actual data in ALV.

    I guess, there is no other possible way to acheive this without modifying the standard driver program. Why because? in you driver program you check window will be called only on the last page... but before you change your driver program give a try like shown below....
    Not sure, but give a try... In the first page you will be printing some void check try to replace the code inside the text element of void check with original check and make all the check void... note: in this text element, be sure you write two conditions...
    IF &PAGE& = 1.
    **PRint all check values..
    ELSE.
    ***Print void values
    ENDIF.

    I would ask you these questions:
    Why do you need to do this?  What are you ultimately trying to accomplish?
    Are you really asking about the InDesign SDK?
    Do you really need to get the "name" of a font from an arbitrary file?  Or do you want information about a font installed on the system?  If so, what OS?
    Do you need to be able to handle any font format?
    Which font "name" do you mean?
    What language do you want the name in?
    (1) It's not clear what you're trying to accomplish.  A bit more information about your ultimate goal would be helpful.
    (2) This question is not at all specific to the InDesign SDK.  Are you really trying to do something in the context of an InDesign plug-in?  If so, you probably want to look at IID_IFONTFAMILY and the IFontFamily::GetFamilyName function.
    (3) If you are asking more generally, Windows and Mac both have system API calls to get this information, although those tend to deal with installed system fonts, not with arbitrary font files per se.
    Also, you can parse the name table from a True Type or Open Type font without using any system APIs; as True Type and Open Type are well-documented standards.  I would start by reading these:
    The Naming Table
    Font Names Table
    (4) Although there are other standards, such as Type 1 (PostScript) fonts, and True Type Collection files and other formats, especially on Mac.
    (5) Also, when you start down this road, you will quickly realize that your seemingly simple question is actually ambiguous, and that the answer is kind of complicated, because a font can have many names (a family name, a full font name, a style name, a PostScript name, etc.).
    (6) And not only does a font have multiple names, it can have each of those names in multiple languages and encodings.
    Any clarification would make this a better question.

    In your company , If they are maintaining Time Events then you can get the information of Employee's Presense or Absense from infotype 2011 (Time Events) and Absense from 2001 (Absense)..
    Also Consider Factory Calender for it.. and check out working days..

  • How is affected the forecast correctness if I change the Time Bucket.

    How is affected the forecast correctness if I have a monthly bucket, but now I want to have a daily bucket?
    This desition could impair the performance drastically?. How many periods the engine has in count to forecast when is a daily system?
    If I have daily system however my worksheets could group months or weeks, it isn't true?

    The daily bucket configuration is usually discouraged due to various reasons:-
    1.Performance issue. Your data volume would be very high as you would maintain sales record on a daily basis
    2.Difficult to get good Forecast Accuracy. This point is heavily dependent on customer business. In general, unless you are getting the Demand stream from POS, you may not get a very good pattern in daily bucket.
    3.You may not be able to get a good forecast after 3 months or so (technically feasible to get this for longer duration). An extra tuning exercise would be required
    The only advantage is on reporting side. You can aggregate the data on Week as well as on calendar month (not 445). Currently, week aggregation to calendar month is not supported (till 7.3.1.4) but it is one of the expected features in 12.2.

    I just checked my BIOS and my current setting is set at IDE although it also mentions that the default should be AHCI. Currently I have a dual boot of Windows 7 (need it for Tax software) and Arch
    So I guess, when I get the new HDD, I will first set it to AHCI and then install the OSes on it. See if NCQ helps any, and if not I will turn it back and re-install (if I have to). I am planning to have Windows only in virtualbox in the new drive.
    Anyhoo, while I was in the BIOS I found two things which I had questions about :
    1) Under Onboard Devices --> Integrated NIC , my setting is currently set at "On w/PXE" and it says the default should be just "On". Would it be ok to change it back to On since its a single machine and its not booting an OS on any server. I just don't want to have to re-install anything now since I will be doing that in the new HDD.
    2) How would I know whether my BIOS would support a 64 bit OS in Virtualbox? I checked some setting under Virtualization, but they weren't very clear.
    I will edit this post and let you know exactly what settings were present under the Virtualization sub-section.

  • How to get the actual key pressed in a UITextField

    Hi all , now i develop a program on iphone SDK 3.0 GM.
    I have an UITextField (created programmatically) and I have implemented the delegate as well as the UITextFieldTextDidChangeNotification so that I can react to changes in the text values.
    However, I specifically want to know when the user presses the backspace key in the UITextField when there is currently no text in the field. I can't find where I can get a specific notification of the actual key pressed, as opposed to the resulting state of the text. I'm sure there is a way to do this...help?

    I can imagine why you want to do it. I had the same problem myself and managed to circumvent it in a slightly painful way. What I did was to subclass UITextField to create a text field that always had text in it, even when it "seemed" empty. In fact the first character of the text is a space character, and then what follows is the actual text. In this way, your delegate will always get called about a backspace (when it's an attempt to delete the leading space character, obviously you should return NO in the textField: shouldChangeCharactersInRange: replacementString: method). I won't get into the details of exactly how to set everything up, like I said it is kind of elaborate and I wouldn't really recommend it unless you are desperate to have that kind of functionality.

    This is more of BC4J question.
    The data that is displayed (View) is a SQL query. You should be able to change the SQL query represented by the view object appropriately to get the desired output. You can see more information on view objects from Jdev help to get more information on it.

    But according to the XI part, 'Key error' is actual reason.
    So... how can i take the actual error text like 'Key error'?

    My scenario is for Asynchronous communication.
    I guess Fault messages are used in case of Synchronous communication for handling application errors. So if there was something wrong at the JDBC end then I could use the fault messages.
    Have i got this right?
    I also came across this piece on Acknowledgements. But is says that they can be used with the following Receivers:

    My Receiver is JDBC. So I guess I cannot use acknowledgements either.
    Hence, I need to know what I can do to replicate the system errors eg. failed server etc...so that I can get catch these errors during sending.
    I'll tell you abt what happened earlier.
    My XI server was down. I executed the code for the sender ABAP Proxy and it did not catch the error. In SXMB_MONI in the R/3 system, I could see the messages queued up. When the XI server started, the messages were transferred to XI.
    I need to handle such errors...ie. If  the server is down or message did not reach XI then my ABAP program that sends data via ABAP proxy needs to know that something went wrong.
