How to align the JLabel to the center

Hi,
I made a JFrame and a JLabel, I want to put the JLabel to the center of the North position. But it doesn't work, it's just placed in the upper left corner. I tried to use html code, such as:
JLabel l = new JLabel("<html><h1><center>Hello</h1></html>");
And then put it in the JFrame's north position, but it doesn't work either. What should I do?
Thx
Adrian

Oh, sorry,
I just found out the function on how to align it to the center, it's
JLable.setHorizontalAlignment(JLabel.CENTER);
Please forget about this question.

  • How to align the text in justify format with SQL Server Reporting Services?

            How to align the text in justify format In SQL server Reporting Services? Is there any code to do so?

    Hi,
    I'm afraid that if you want to have this kind of functionality, you will need to write a custom control. Here is an example: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345265.aspx. The issue with custom controls is that it needs to be known by all the reportservers that will render your report.

  • How to align the 2 rows into 1 row?

    Here is the SQL below:
    SELECT distinct QP.QIP_id,
            Max(decode( Upper(QP.Status_CD), Upper('Approved') , Effective_date, null ))  as Approved_date,
            Max( decode( Upper(QP.Status_CD), Upper('Submitted') , Effective_date, null ) ) as Submitted_date
             FROM  Llp_Sys.Project_Status QP
             WHERE Upper(Qp.Status_cd) in (Upper('Approved'),Upper('Submitted'))
                AND qp.qip_id = 79440
            GROUP by QP.QIP_ID,Qp.Status_CDThe output data is displayed as below:
    79440  NULL     01-FEB-10
    79440 04-FEB-10     NULLHow can I display only 1 row in the output instead of 2 rows.? I mean How to align the rows ?

    Hi,
    When you say
    GROUP by QP.QIP_ID,Qp.Status_CDthe output will contain one row for each distinct combination of values found for qid_id and status_cd. If you want one row for each distinct value of qui_id, including all status_cds, then say
    GROUP by QP.QIP_IDwithout mentioning qip_id, as Bigc suggested. There is nothing in the query that you posted that would cause an error if you did this. If you tried it and got an error message, then post the complete query that causes the error, and the complete error message, including the line number.
    (If all the columns in the GROUP BY clause are also in the SELECT clause, then you don't have to say SELECT DISTINCT , since the output has separate rows only for distinct values of the GROUP BY columns.)
    Whenever you have any problem, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data. You'll get better answers faster.

  • JTable How to align the Text in a Cell to Centre

    Hi Plese Help regarding JTable.
    I want to align the Text in the Table Cell to Centre how to align it. Im using Abstract Data Model TAble an what is the meaning of renderer and its use.. Help me out

    Here are a couple of links you should read for information on tables and renderers:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html#editrender
    http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-jtable/index.html?dwzone=java
    Here is an example of a simple renderer that will:
    a) center the text
    b) highlight the background when the cell gets focus
    This renderer is only used in two of the columns of the table.

  • How to change the center of rotation for an assembly in Tetra 4D reviewer?

    I was trying to create an animation of a assembly which should rotate around an axis.
    But I was only able to rotate it around its center of gravity. Is there a possibility to define the center of rotation for a selected assembly?
    Thanks!

    Solved!
    I have created a new cordinate system with its origin in the center of rotation of the assembly.
    Then I switched the coordinate system to be the primary one.
    Then I selected the assembly and created a new animation with the "rotation around axis" tool, method primary coordinate system.
    It works!

  • How  to align the customise UILeftBarButton to Left in iOS7

    I have tried aligning the left bar button to the left edge of navigation bar using this code
    "addButton.contentEdgeInsets=UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, 0, 0);"
    but i could not get it to the left instead it get aligned  with extra 10px from left...can anyone suggest a way for that??

    Currently CSS in JFX can't really be used for layout (or sizing). It's one of those grey areas between what is styling (which should be in the CSS) and what is layout (which should be in the FXML). I think I remember Richard once mentioning in a forum or article that he did want to add alignment stuff to the CSS at some point, but don't quote me on that. You could have a search through Kenai to see if there is a feature request for it, and if not add one.
    You could maybe fake it by having the labels stretch to take up the available space in the GridPane. To do this you need to disable the max size restriction (i.e. setMaxWidth and setMaxHeight to Integer.MAX_VALUE) and ensure your GridPane constraints are such that the label will fill the cell. Once you have a stretched label the alignment will come into play as the text is aligned relative to the area of the label (as opposed to a layout manager that aligns the whole label relative to its parent). I find putting a border on the label while debugging useful to work out what is going on.
    Another, more flexible but less contained alternative might be to use variables in your FXML files. You can do this in a number of ways. One is to create a bean that has all your variables on it with getters and then you can pass this to the namespace of your FXML Loader and then reference it using stuff like ${myConstants.gridAlignment}. Another is to create static methods on a class that take a node, these can then be called from the FXML using similar notation to GridPane.alignment. This second approach only works for things where you want to work on the Node directly, but for your scenario that should be ok I think. And then there's always the option to enable a scripting language in your FXML, which allows you to do most anything.
    Hope that helps,

  • How to align the number to the right

    Hi,
    Can anybody tell me ,
    1. if the field is related to number, align the value to the right and complete it to the left with 0.
    2. if the field is related to description, align the value to the left and complete it with "spaces".
    Please reply ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Madhu

    Hello Madhu
    If a field has a numeric type its contents is, by default, right-aligned.
    If a field has a alphanumeric type its contents is, by default, left-aligned.
    In order to remove leading spaces (2) you can use the CONDENSE statement.
    In order to add leading zero (1) you can use the OVERLAY statement.
    For details please refer to: [Processing Character Strings|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fc/eb3357358411d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm]

    Hi sivavuyyuru,
    I cannot find a easy way to make this.
    I think you may need to draw your own Combo Box control. And you could change the edit control more like static text. Check the article:
    http://www.codeguru.com/cpp/controls/combobox/fontselectioncombos/article.php/c1795/Owner-Drawn-Font-Selection-Combobox.htm
    In the resource editor, Owner draw -> variable , Has string->true, type->drop list.
    The result:

  • How to align the text vertical in the edit box in mfc?

    Hi,
    I had an edit box of which height is increased than the default.Now the problem here is when I am entering text into the edit box the text is not present at the centre of the edit box, It is still aligned at the top.
    After increasing the height of the edit box the text and cursor are aligned at the top as shown in the below figure.
    But Actually how I want is the text and the cursor position needs to be aligned centre as shown in the below figure.
    Note: "EDITTEXT        IDC_EDIT_BOX,10,73,156,14,ES_AUTOHSCROLL"
    Can anyone please help me how can I make the text and the position of the cursor to be aligned vertically i.e, to the centre of the control.
    SivaV

    If vertical alignment is not possible, then use an edit box without borders, having the default height, and place it inside a static control having
    SS_WHITERECT style. (In MFC Dialog Editor, set the Type and Colour properties). Both of controls will be children of dialog. Use a proper tab order. Check if the style
    WS_CLIPSIBLINGS is needed too.

  • CSS Drop down menu; how to align the right edge of drop down and parent menu?

    Hello everyone,
    I have a drop-down menu that is currently working well.
    The only change I need to make is to have the right edge of the  drop-down menu to align with the right edge of the parent menu. When you  hover over the menu, it currently "drops" down and to the right, with  the left edges aligned.
    I want the menu to "drop" down and to the left, so the right edges are aligned.
    I have tried fiddling with floats and absolute/relative positioning. I'm not sure what needs to be changed.

    I have a panelGrid with two column, the left column is a image and the right colum is commandLink.
    <h:panelGrid border="0" columns="2" width="100%" columnClasses="headerColumn1, headerColumn2">
    .headerColumn1 {
    vertical-align: top;
    width: 50;
    .headerColumn2 {
    vertical-align: top;
    width: 100%;
    text-align: right;
    But the output is both column width are equal and the text in right column is align left. Can anyone points out what is the problem here?

    Hello Malkit,
    Do you have an example, snapshot?
    Maybe it depends on the data type like string vs. numbers (leading zeros or not...)
