How to assign a Bex report to the user role

Hi Expert
in the Excel, when you open a query, the system will display history, faviourate, infoarea, role button on the left side of the popup screen. if you click the role button, you can see the user authorized Bex report. now I have created a Bex report and I want to assign it to the user role.
how to do that?
does anyboday know which transcation or setting can solve this problem?

You need to add the object S_RS_COMP:
S_RS_COMP: Authorizations for using different components for the query definition. This authorization object is very important for reporting
The authorization object S_RS_COMP restricts query component activities. For example, it restricts if someone can create queries, change queries, or execute queries. You can restrict query creation, change, and execution by the InfoArea and InfoCube. If your company has one InfoCube for sales information and another for financial data, you can restrict a user to only those queries written for the sales InfoCube or the financial InfoCube.
You could also use S_RS_COMP if you want to protect by query name. For example, you have an InfoCube for sales data. Every sales manager needs access to this InfoCube. However, sales managers in different lines of business are not allowed to execute the same query.

  • How to email report to the users

    Hi,
    I have a few reports in 6i. I can preview them but cannot mail them to the users. When I click on the mail icon, it gives me this error :
    REP-4203: Error occurred while sending a mail message.
    Second option I did was to directly create a pdf report but this doesnt work either. I gave the desformat as pdf, desname as c:\myreport.pdf, mode as default, destype as File and printjobs No.
    I ran the report and it did something. But now when I search in my C:\ I cannot find the pdf report there. I also did a search but cannot find it anywhere.
    Please let me know how to develop a pdf report or how to email a preview report to the users. I need to send the report to my users but both the options dont work.

    Are you trying to have the table where the lines are always be the same size no matter how many lines are present?
    If so, you some choices:
    1) If your lines are always the same height, you might get some ideas on what to do from this article:

    2) If your lines vary in height, then you should look into a PDF template. This will give you a pre-printed stationary look in which the drawing of boxes and lines is not affected by the data content.
    3) Other less attractive options are a) making the report in XSL-FO, and b) making a bitmapped RDF report
    There is currently no solution that I am aware of for a pre-printed stationary look using an RTF template in which the data lines are of variable height.

    I have a need, can i know how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button. Scenario is like follows...
    This is a struts based web application
    1. I have a file which consists of login user details (user name and his previlages) for a web application.
    2. I got those user details, into a List.
    3. When a user logged into the web app, in the home page there are few buttons. The type and number of buttons shown depends on the type of user/ user. (Buttons have different combination and the number of buttons available are not constant, they will vary from user to user).
    4. for each button, there will be a different action. I can pass the value of a button to an action class, but here button must have a dynamic value.
    Here is my test code:

    Also please tell me how to assign multiple * Project_Relationship_Code * (ex: END CLIENT, GENERAL CONTRACTOR, PRIMARY) for a particular project during project creation?

    Are you not storing the project number in the staging table designed for storing the task data? You can use create_project API to create the project and tasks at the same time with one single call. You may want to try that option

    Hi !! Oscar,
    1) For pricing type definition you would require the help of a developer.
    2) However, most of the commonly occuring requirements are supplied with  standard SAP.
    You can assign a pricing type to pricing procedure as follows:-
    IMG>S & D >Basic Functions>Pricing>Pricing Control>Define & Assign pricing procedures>Maintain pricing procedure> Here, locate your pricing procedure , in the fourth coloumn using the drop down list, you can assign a pricing type to the pricing procedure.
    Now you can use the 'new pricing document' function in the sales document and 'Update prices' on the condition screens in the Billing document !

    1. Navigate to "Content Management >> Reports"
    2. At the Approval Maintenance's context menu click on "more >> Properties"
    3. On details page click on "Access Link"
    4. Copy the explorer url and paste into the URL Iview.
    I'm not sure if it is the right way.

    In my Cube the data is available curreclty, but where as my bex report showing the wrong data.
    like xeample:
    Infocube
    Material               Plant    Year    Units  Qty
    000000000002001032     003     2006     BAG   1,500
    But in bex i took the same selection's, but it displays as
    000000000002001032     003     2006     BAG   2
      i am Unable to trace this

    Hi,
    since Quantity(units PC??) can not be in decimals,Bex will round off 1.5 to 2 in bex report.
    Use NODIM function i.e. NODIM(Qty) instead of Quantity.
    NODIM function is available under data functions of Formula builder.
    From context menu fo KF structure>new formula>NODIM(Qty).
    or
    try by setting Decimal places to  2 or 3 in KF properties in Bex Query.
