How to attach HTML content to DMS Document?

Hello,
I have a requirement in which I have to make a HTML file which contains the current Dispaly on screen, I have to attach this HTML file inside the DMS document.
For this I am doing following steps.
1 ) FM SAVE_LIST
2) FM WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT, form this FM I am getting the Internal table which is containing the HTML content.
a) I am converting this internal table content ot first in XSTRING using FM SCMS_TEXT_TO_XSTRING
b) And XSTRING to Binary format.
3) After this I am creating a DMS cocument using FM CVAPI_DOC_CREATE
3) After DMS document creation I am using FM CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN to attach HTML file content to this DMS Document.
Everthing seems to be ok, but when I am using CV03N to view the document, its showing the HTML file bu not showing the original content(HTML)
Please help to find the problem, Is there any other way from which I could CHECKIN HTML content directly inside DMS document in HTML form without converting it to binary.

As far as I know, HTML need not to be checked in.

Hi,
You can just spit out HTML in the request object:
request.write("<B>Whatever</B>");
Or if you have a single HTML page, you might want to just add it to KM and create an iView from it.

actually i have a print button on html page....when i click on print button using window.print(); the html page gets printed...but along with it print button is also printed...i dont want print button to be printed...

How to display the contents of a document set on a page?

I want to display the contents of a document set (that contains both folders and files) on a page (with the same structure as they are in the document set like folders and files). How to achieve this?
I tried content search webpart but it is of no use as it displays the flat list instead I need folders and files as they are present in the document set
I tried document set contents webpart but as it doesn't accept any connection, it is not of much use.
I will be glad if you have any pointers for me in this regard.

According to your description, you might want to display the content in a document set with its hierarchy.
How about using
Page Viewer Web Part to display the page of the corresponding document set? This would be a non-code solution I would recommend.

The only current way is to use an iFrame, or if you only need some html tags you could use the Text Layout Framework.

How to feed html content in Mail App from Indesign

Anyone knows how Martha Stewart Everday Food Magzine achieved launching the ipad Mail App filled in with HTML body content directly from their digital magazine?
At the end of each recipe, there is an email icon displayed, and when you click on it ipad mail launches with html content filled in and ready to share with a friend.

How to Edit html content of My First Days in ESS

Hi All,
My requirement is to change only the html content displayed in My first Days under Life and work event tab.
Currently it shows content provided by sap.
e.g ; it displays "Welcome to xyz_Company_name " and some dummy content.
where as we want to customize it as per client requirement i.e. to display client specific policies and
name etc.

The real question is why are you trying to write (hardcode?) HTML in a Java class that needs to interact with JSF components?

How to attach more than 2 original document in a DIR?

Hello all,
My requirement is that, I need to attachminimum 5 original documents in a Document Info Record (DIR). However, when I attach the more than 2 documents system is showing a n error. More than 2 documents is not possible.
1. Can we attach more than 2 original doc. in a DIR??
2. If Yes, Where I need or do the settings?? (Or) Is it SAP standard???

Dear Prabu,
please check in transaction DC10 if the flag 'Use KPRO' is set for the used document type. If you use the KPRO storage logic you can add an unlimited number of originals. In case this flag is not set in DC10 then only the former storage types (archive, vault, SAP-SYSTEM) are available and here you have a limit of only 2 original files per document info record.

How to insert HTML content directly in code from JEditorPane ?

I'm developping an HTML Editor on a JEditor Pane.
The problem is that a blank is not interpreted, and i've tried to add "& n b s p ;" in the code from a KeyListener added to the VK_SPACE event, or to define an Action to add HTML Spaces. But i didn't achieve to...
I just want to insert a "& n b s p ;" in the HTML code of the document displayed in the JEditor evry time the SpaceBar is pressed.
I've tried InsertContentAction() :
Not a solution :It inserts " & n b s p ;" in the text (it appears litteraly).
I've tried InsertHTML. But it needs a tag parameter, and in my case, i need no tag
to be inserted.
I'm stuck since days... Any help woul be extremely appreciated...

How to block attachment deletion in a DMS document

Hi gurus,
Does anybody knows how to block some users to delete the attachment in some DMS types? Is there any configuration that can be done to control this?

Hi Renan,
in the standard each user who is able to edit the document info record (enter CV02N) is able to delete the attached originals.
However a user is not able to delete originals if the document is set to a status of status type 'S' (locked status). Within this kind of status it is not possible to delete originals and change some other document data.
So you can also try to create a authorization profile where some users are only allowed to enter document info records with a non-locked status. So you avoid that some users are able to enter document info records which are not set to a locked status.

Maybe object C_DRAW_TCS or C_DRAW_TCD could be useful for this issue.

hello,
i need to scan the legacy document and put it in to DMS.
After that i want to search the scanned document using the Trex search.
I want to know how to achive it as scaaed document are as like images and we can not search the text in images.
Any helpfull ideas are welcome..

How to store email content as a document variable?

I would suggest one of the following two methods:
1) Prior to sending the email with the SendEmail service, build the email contents via SetValues and using String process variables. Have one String for the subject (i.e. sSubject) and one for the body (i.e. sBody) and build your content appropriately. You can use multiple SetValues or you could do it all in one. After your email's body is done being built, use a SetValue to set it to a Document variable (i.e. docBody = sBody). You can then use this Document variable as the input to your SendEmail service's body parameter. What you have then is a Document containing all the content of the email's body that you can now write to the filesystem, archive to a repository or do whatever you'd like with. Please note that if you are using HTML formatting for the email's body that your Document variable will literally have the HTML code in it. This means that if you, say, archived the Document to the file system as a .txt and then opened it, you would see all the content but it would have all the HTML code with it. To get around this, you might consider archiving the email contents as a .htm or .html file. This will cause the file to open in the system's default browser for viewing but it will also only display the actual content formatted per your HTML code.
One other thing to note is that if you wanted the subject to be part of the archived file's contents as well, you could simply do a String concatenate of the body String (sBody) to the subject String (sSubject).
2) If the emails you are sending go to the same email box(es) each time, you might consider building a second orchestration that uses an Email endpoint to watch the box(es). With this, you could monitor those inboxes and handle incoming messages appropriately.

How to attach PDF files to invoice document from ECM.

We have one requirement in that around three million invoice pdf files are there in ECM system. we need to attach those pdf files(GOS) to existing invoice document in SAP.as we searched in SCN we found one function module ARCHIVE_CONNECTION_INSERT. for this function module we need pass mandatory import parameters as SAP object ID ,Document ID and some other variables(object type, doc.type , repository ID).
My problem is how can I find the value of respective SAP object ID and Document ID form ECM system. and how can I match the SAP object ID and Document ID.
please help on this.

Hello,
Check with Global document type is maintained for the PDF you are looking for in OAC2. You will find the Document type, for the respective object type, check in OAC3. Content Repository is the archiving ID. Search by the archiving ID.
