  • How to Create BC SET using Transport Request

    Hi,
How to Create BC SET using Transport Request.if any one knows help me

    Hi Gowri,
The below given description might help u out ..
You want to create a BC Set from a transport request. A transport request containing Customizing data must already exist.
This Customizing request is a change request with which you can copy and transport the changed system settings.
The BC Set is based on the data in the Customizing request. You can copy all the data records in the Customizing request into the BC Set, or select a subset.
You can subsequently edit BC Sets created from transport requests.
    Procedure
Enter the Customizing request number and Continue.
-> You can search for requests with the F4 help. The request type is Workbench/Customizing requests. The request status is changeable or released.
-> You get an overview of the transport objects in the transport request. To put a transport object in the BC Set, flag the row Copy.
->The Status column tells you the BC Set-compatibility of the transport object. It can have the following values:
    ·        green traffic light: The transport object can be put in the BC Set.
    ·        yellow traffic light: BC Set creation or activation problems are possible. Check whether all data records have been put in the BC Set, after you create it.
    ·        red traffic light: Table entries exist, but they cannot be interpreted. They cannot be put in the BC Set.
    ·        Cancel: The transport object cannot be interpreted or put in the BC Set.
You can get detail information about the object at the bottom of the screen, by double-clicking on a row. For detailed information about messages, choose the icon in the Documentation column.
The Activity column indicates the associated IMG activity. If no unique assignment is possible, the field is empty. To assign an activity or change an existing assignment, choose the Change Activity icon. Position the cursor on the IMG activity to which you want to assign the object, and choose Select.
When you have made your choice, choose the Save Data from Transport Request icon.
Make the necessary entries in the following dialog box Create Object Directory Entry. Choose Save.
To create the BC Set with the selected rows, choose Save.
When you read the transport request, the data records are initially only read in the logon language. When you save the BC Set, all languages in the system are also put in the BC Set.
You can edit the BC Set manually at any time. Proceed as described in Change BC Set.
    Reward if helpful.
    Thankyou,
    Regards.

  • How can i create a new transport request?

    Dear Experts,
Some colleagues have to modify a master record, but save time, failing to produce a request no., then, how can i create a new transport request?
    Wilson

    Hi,
Please let us know about the issue when you create the new Transport request .
In which system you are creating the request . Hope its in Development  .
If so , check the entries are enabled in SCC4 > Changes without automatic recording
Changes to repository objects and cross client customizing allowed .
    Protection level 0
If these entries are enabled, you must be able to create Transport requests.
    Please check and update .

  • How to add config changes in Transport Request

    Hi Experts,
We did some config changes in Logistics - General=>Material Master=>Configuring the Material Master=>Define structure of Data screen for screen sequence / Assign Secondary sequence / Maintain Order of Main and Additional Screens.
But while saving this config of  Assign Secondary sequence / Maintain Order of Main and Additional Screens its not asking for Transport Request.
Even i checked in the menu of EDIT-Tranport entries, but the menu's are in disable mode.
Can anyone guide me how to add this two fields config changes in to TR?
    Thanks and regards,
    Anandhan

    Hi,
    This is really strage.
However you can try the following.
upon entering the config node, use the first menu option in which option "transport" would be there.
Upon clicking it, the same table opens in display mode.
Select the entries that you have created and use the option "include in transport"
When asked for, provide teh transport number.
Alternatively you can create a transport and them use SE10 to include entries from tables that you can select.
ou may need teh help of an experinced ABAPer or Basis to do it if you are not confortable doing it yourself.
However if the config effects multiple tables, then this is not a viable option as you need to know all the impacted tables.
    hope this helps.

  • How to remotely control objects from transport request

    Hi all,
I have to perform some task but can't find the way to get it done. What I have to do is:
    a) get list of transport requests for given SAP system (i.e. its import queue)
    b) let the user choose transport requests from the list
    c) get list of all objects from chosen transport requests
    d) control these objects in source and destination (from point a) ) SAP system.
Points a) to c) are easy and already done (using appropriate function modules and ALV objects). But I have no idea how to do things from point d). Control means comparison of dates (i.e. last modified) of objects in source and destination SAP system. The main goal of this approach is to avoid transportation of older objects from source system (DEV) and overwritting newer versions of the objects in destination system (PRD). I tried to use SAP versioning system to check versions remotely (the same way as it can be done from standard SAP transactions, e.g. SE38 for program source) with RFC and it worked fine (see function module SVRS_DISPLAY_REMOTE_DIR). But what about other objects not covered with versioning system? There are 932 objects that can be transported (at least TR_OBJECT_TABLE function module says so). Versions management system covers about 30 (program source, function module, object methods, table definitions, lock objects, and so on) of them. The problem is with the rest (900 transportable objects).
How can I check their dates remotely in source and destination SAP system. Any clues? Manual retrieval of the information about dates of 900 various SAP elements must be very difficult (if possible at all) because so many objects must be spreaded out in many tables. Is there any universal or standard way (report, RFC function module) to get required information?
    Thanx in advance,
    Jacek Witczak

    Hi
There is no automatic way to delete the unnecessary objects from the transport reqeust.
    1. Go to Tcode se09 and select the request which contains the unnecessary objects.
    2. Select the unnecessary objects and delete manually.
Also if you want to delete the entire request then unlock the request in the tcode SE03 and then delete the request completely.
Also note that if the request is released then you will not be able to delete the objects in that request.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards
    Sadeesh

  • How to add object back to transport request?

I deleted a function module from a workbench transport request.  Now, I would like to add it back to this transport request.  How can I do this?  When I go to the include objects on the transport organizer, I do not see an option for selection function modules to be added back.
    Thanks,
    Ram.

    Hi Ram,
Object status locked means that the same object can not be added in another request.
The objects will be locked automatically when change/ create a object.
But in your case since you have manually added the object in TR, so you have lock to manually.
For that In SE10 itself select the request and goto request/task>object list> Lock.
    It will lock the object.
    Hope this helps you.
    Thanks,
    Arun

  • How to deactivate tax code with transport request

    Hi expert
We would like to deactivate tax code with transport request instead of manual on production.
    Do you know how to?
    Thanks in advance.
    Great

    Hi,
    You need to do below:-
    (1) Deactivate the tax line in test system
    (2) Then create a transport request via Export feature in FTXP
    (3) Open your target system and then import the transport request via import feature in FTXP.
Then the tax code will get deactivated line in target system also.

  • How to know who did a Transport request?

    Hey guys!
Does anybody know how can i find the user who imported a transport request? I checked the log but i could not find it.

    Hi Eduardo,
What is your SAP version? I found it is not possible for 4.6C, but I have a 4.70 x 2.00 system on Web AS 6.20 (I believe also upward) and it is possible to see there.
    Please do the following:
    1. Call STMS.
    2. Go to 'import overview'.
    3. Enter one of the buffer you want to see the log.
    4. On the menu 'Goto' --> 'tp System Log'.
There you can see who imported the requests.

    Click on Repository Browser tab
Then Select the Object(s) you want to change the Transport Request number
Right Click > Other Functions > Write Transport Entry
After that you will need to specify other existing Transport Request number OR create a new transport request number (F8).
