How to Auto Populate Business Area in MIRO
Hi Gurus,
I am working on a issue of business area not being auto populated in MIRO transaction. Can anyone please help me out with how to make the business area populate in there.
I have already checked that business area is set as a mandatoty field in this transaction and linked with Plant (OMJ1). Also the cost centers also have the business area defined at the master data level.

Hi,
Entries happen in background like tax you are not able to get the business area(if you are using new general ledger you can get just check once)
for other entries line items like vendor you can give the business area in MIRO header.
After you posted the document check the gl account balance respective business area wise in FAGLB03.

Marella.check the GL accounts field status variant attached to the Invoice posting.
also check in PO whether u have the BA field filled up. in case u r using BA accounting then that value shld be there..... as u said u dont want to put BA as field in miro , that means u r not using BA thing... so u can always maintain all the FSV of GL for BA as optional/supressed... -

What is the table name. I verified it is storing in structure. Which is the right table for fetching that value with reference to MIRO.
After that, how to find the accounting document for payment and check details.
What are the table names and field names. What we can get from PAYR table.

In MIRO transaction, Headers - Detail Tab, there is Business Area field.
Currently in our system the field displays blank value.
We have the requirement to be able to identify each invoice belongs to which Business Area. However we don't want a manual entry of this field during MIRO transaction. We need the value to be defaulted from either vendor master or purchase order. However I have search for business area in both vendor master and purchase order but I couldn't found it.
The questions we have are:
1. Is there a way to automatically default the business area in MIRO?
2. If it is possible, where to set the default value?
Fyi, we are on R3 4.7

However I don't think the business area value is defaulted from plant as a plant can be link to multiple business areas. Based on a plant, how do system determined which business area to be pulled to MIRO?

We don't turn on the business area balance sheet (OB65). Would you please kindly advise what will be the impact to turn this on?

goto TC:FBL1N give vendor number &company code , select all items & click dynamic selections on screen(near excute button see). in that dynamic selections give the business area(scrool down), next excute so u can saw the
particular business area vendors items.

In your masterdata from the asset you have to fill in a costobject like costcenter.

As per Note ID 1074326.1 under section "6.8. Import Discoverer Content for E-Business Suite Release 12 using adupdeul.sh mode=complete"
all the existing business areas are also included while import.
Kindly let me know how R12 seeded (standard) business areas are created in fresh EUL.

This is how data flows in New G/L
RBUSA (Business area) field is there in datasource (0FI_GL_10)
U have to add 0BUS_AREA to DSO (0FIGL_O10)... In transformation between 0FI_GL_10 and 0FIGL_O10, map fields RBUSA to 0BUS_AREA.
Then add 0BUS_AREA to Cube (0FIGL_C10)... In transformation between 0FIGL_O10 and 0FIGL_C10, map fields 0BUS_AREA to 0BUS_AREA. -

Since the tick is appearing in this field, either the field status group (at posting level or GL level) should have been made mandatory. Can you please check the relevant FSG for the reconciliation account involved for that vendor.
Also since you want this field as optional only for testing purpose, i have a alternative suggestion.
Say, If your substitution is suppose to replace this field with business area A, then enter business area B there and check whether the substituition is replacing this with A again.

How to relate cost centre with Business area in MIRO
while doing posting in MIRO, the cost centre picked against one of the entries in GL account line is of another business area(of second plant). why its so? and how it happens.?how we can rectify it?
in FS00, the default cost centre assigned is of first BA(business area) so when we do miro with PO of first BA then its alright, but when we do miro of second BA PO then the cost centre picked is of first BA. so how we cam similarize the cost centre with PO of respective business area?\
so that when we do miro , the cost centre is picked automatically with related BAHi
In that case you can remove the cost center from FS00 and make entries in OKB9, under account assignment select option - 2 - BA is mandatory.

We can change the filed in posted document throgh below way,
For that go to OB32 and give a document change rule and save it for that field.
Next you can change the document business ares after posting a document - use Tcode FB03 (select the document) and go to line item display. There click on the pencil icon (change line items) and then in the tool bar from Go To -> click document header. You will find document header or line tem .There business area is in edit mode.

How to Auto-Populate a User Data Picker?
I understand how User Data Pickers work (mostly). We have used them during the shell creation process to allow the creator to specify which users may access the shell and in what user groups they will be placed. This works fine— as the shell is created, these users are added and assigned to their respective groups.
From the documentation, User Data Pickers are supposed to support auto-population, but the system does not allow me to select a suitable source from which to pull. For example, the shell attribute form contains a User Data Picker that contains the name of the PM that was assigned to the shell. Say I have a BP in that shell on which I want the PM’s name to appear. I’m thinking I would place a User Data Picker on the BP and auto-populate that field from the shell attribute user data picker, but uDesigner doesn’t allow the attribute form as source as it does for other DE types. This is important as this field, the PM’s name, must be located on the BP if I’m to use it in a LiveCycle report.
Short of having the user select the name again within the BP, how do I pass the names of shell members that were selected during shell creation using User Data Pickers?

Rich’s solution as it worked for me:
1. Add a User Data Picker to the shell attribute form.
2. Add a DE of DD SYS Medium Name to the shell attribute form. The DD type appears critical here and was my mistake in the past.
3. Auto-populate the DE created in step 2: Source Name-->Data Picker; Source Element-->uuu_user_name (in this case).
4. On the BP, place the same DE as step 2 and auto-populate (or link) it to the same DE on the shell attribute form.
What I didn’t expect:
1. User Data Pickers on BPs cannot reference User Data Pickers on shell attribute forms. Why do we need additional fields to link two other fields of the same type?
2. In operation the auto-populate, setup in step 3 above, occurs immediately as if it were a formula instead of just populating upon the shell creation stup as it would on BP creation. -
Automatic Picking of Business Area in MIRO

I have the following problem while making MIRO after MIGO.
While I am doing MIRO after I entered the all relavant data the system is asking Business Area field in Details Button becz it is mandatory field on Vendor Reconciliation G a/c.But my client is asking instead entering every time business area while making MIRO they want to pick this automatically,
How can I do this ? Is there is any special customization I have top make for this.

OBXM Define Accounts for Subsequent Adjustment
In the transaction OBXM you fill in the g/l account (creditor / debitor) and the ofset account. The postings are only on the ofset account!
When you are using PCA these account should not be set up in 3KEH Choose Additional Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts !!

I have a tabular form with 3 columns - (customer name, notes, user). my users are allowed to enter customer details in the notes section... as soon as the user completes notes section and save the form, I want "USER" field to be auto populate with the user name so that I may track activity by the user...

After user saves the forms that means commit to the database, so you can simply write a trigger like:

How to auto-populate dates in a calendar based on radio buttons?
Hi,
I'm trying to create an availability form that is submitted on a monthly basis. What I'd like is to have a radio button the user could click to indicate what day the first of the month falls on (Monday through Sunday), and have fields auto-populate with the remainder of the dates on the calendar. As it stands right now, I've got the radio buttons and the text fields, but I'm running into serious issues getting the text fields to auto-fill based on the selected radio button.
I've labelled the radio button group "First Day of Month" and the individual values are "Monday" "Tuesday" "Wednesday" "Thursday" "Friday" "Saturday" "Sunday" and "Start". The "Start" button is hidden but is checked by default.
My text fields are even simpler: "Monday 1" "Monday 2" "Monday 3" "Monday 4" and "Monday 5" (and then, obviously, repeated for each day of the week.
I am horrible at scripting, so I think that might be where I'm running into issues. What I'd like to put is something like this (only, you know, functional, and for each days' text value):

Which sharepoint edition you are using? I would prefer to customize your list form in infopath form then add new connection which will connect to your SQL. Later you can filter data based on cust ID. Here is the link to add connection in infopath:
