How to auto-repair an ips manifest prior to publishing in solaris 11 ?

Hi all,
I want to create a p5p package. I've got to the point where I managed to create the package but it fails at install because the permissions from the manifest don't match the ones from the system.
Let's say that my package will install in +/usr/local/+. This has the permissions root(user) | sys(group).
Is there a command that checks my manifest and verifies if the package will be installable and repairs it? ... I've found that pkglint does some checks.
Can anyone provide some commands to automate the process ? Change the +/usr/local/+ dir from the manifest to the correct user and group ?

See Chapter 4, "Packaging Software with IPS"
Notice the comment in the middle of page 24:
"Also, note that pkgsend generate has applied defaults for directory owners and groups. In the case of /opt,
the defaults are not correct; we'll just delete that directory, since it's delivered by other packages already on the
system and pkg(1) would not install the package if the attributes of /opt conflicted with those already on the
system."
You need to delete /usr and /usr/local from the package manifest.
Solution shown on page 25.
