How to automate bcc full deployment programatically ?

Hi All,
Already I have a script to install all softwares and running cim now I want to run bcc full deployment programaticall ?
I dont have knowledge on bcc Could anybody please help me to write either through script or any programs to automate bcc full deployment.

Hi,
There is an ATG component you can use to schedule a full deployment. See the documentation link below for more details. The component has an attribute forceFull that can be set to force a full deployment.

Hi Pijush,
The exception towards the end of the stack trace says the RENDERER_ID is an invalid identifier. the Oracle error 00904 indicates the column name must be wrong. Can you verify the repostiory xml on the BlockRepository and check the column name.

BCC Full Deployment to new ProductionAgent stuck at 0.0%

I am trying to get a new ProductionAgent up and going in BCC but it seems to be stuck at 0.0% (its been this way for 2 hours with no visible progress). The logs on both ATGPublishing and ATGProduction aren't giving me any clue as to why or even if it is stuck. How do I figure out if it is making any progress or what the block is?

You have two things to do, use the /atg/epub/purge/PurgingService on publishing and configure:
/atg/deployment/DeploymentManager.properties like this:
#Bump up ThreadBatchSize and TransactionBatchSize
maxThreads=20
transactionBatchSize=5000
threadBatchSize=5000

Error on BCC full deployment | CRS set up

I have completed installation and configuration of CRS and I am able to browse the store and BCC applications. To transfer assets from Publishing to Production environment, I am getting the following error when i initiate 'Create Initial Deployment'.

How to automatically swap R,G,B channels on a folder full of images

How to automate a Harris Shutter like effect to quickly apply to a few hundred images? Essentially for each finished image, I want to take the R, G, B channels from three different images. I want to do this with a folder full of images. From image #1, use the Red Channel, from image #2, use the Green Channel, from image #3, the Blue Channel. Then repeat that for all the images. Each pulling the channels from the subequent images. Any suggesions on how to automate this? Another way to think of it would be like all the Red channels are original, but the Green channels would be from an image one ahead in the sequence and all the Blue channels would be from an image two ahead in the sequence. The channels would be slightly out of sync with one another.

How can I enable "automatically bcc myself" for a certain account?

Hi,
I have a bunch of email addresses (as everyone else), and I want to enable "automatically BCC myself" only for a certain account.
Mail.app doesn't allow me to configure the option per email address, but it is just all or nothing. I also spent good amount of time on googling, but fail to find a good solution for this.
It would be really appreciated if anyone can post a solution, or a suggestion (e.g., looking into Apple Script in blah, blah area...).

Mail > Preferences > Accounts. Choose the Account you want Bcc set too. Then, under the Composing setting, enable Automatically Bcc myself.
When you are composing an email. there is also a setting drop down adjacent to From: that allows you to dynamically allow the Bcc field.

ATG 10.1.2 . How to set BCC password through CIM?

I'm new to 10.1.2 version, trying to installing and configure it properly to learn it. With CIM I configured and set Publishing, Production and Staging instances.
I ran BCC after installation (http://localhost:8180/atg/bcc) and was prompted for password - admin/admin or merchandising/merchandising set by default in previous ATG versions didn't work in 10.1.
I learned from ATGInstallGuide that there is no default passwords preset in 10.1.2 and I have to set them though CIM. (Or ACC)
Here what is says:

I do remember I was once asked one for password for merchandising user only, and the password I set didn't allow me into BCC, so probably it was for something else.
Please, advise how to set BCC passwords for default account (admin, merchandising and etc) in CIM? I don't see this option in CIM - I everything in CIM and didn't find it

CIM will ask for new passwords when you select Create Schema and Import data. If you have forgotten the pwd given by you, you can reset it.

How to automate the data load process using data load file & task Scheduler

I am doing Automated Process to load the data in Hyperion Planning application with the help of data_Load.bat file & Task Scheduler.
I have created Data_Load.bat file but rest of the process i am unable complete.
So could you help me , how to automate the data load process using Data_load.bat file & task Scheduler or what are the rest of the file is require to achieve this.

To follow up on your question are you using the maxl scripts for the dataload?
If so I have seen and issue within the batch (ex: load_data.bat) that if you do not have the full maxl script path with a batch when running it through event task scheduler the task will work but the log and/ or error file will not be created. Meaning the batch claims it ran from the task scheduler although it didn't do what you needed it to.
If you are using maxl use this as the batch
"essmsh C:\data\DataLoad.mxl" Or you can also use the full path for the maxl either way works. The only reason I would think that the maxl may then not work is if you do not have the batch updated to call on all the maxl PATH changes or if you need to update your environment variables to correct the essmsh command to work in a command prompt.

You write an AM level method to set the where clause and you expose it as a client method. (just like you did before)
Then you can drag this method onto a page as a button and then pressing on this button will execute the method.
If you want this to be done automatically without pressing a button - you go to the pagedef.xml file for your page and add a methodInvocation binding to that AM method, and then add a method executable to the executables section calling this method.

Full Deployment failing with Transaction timeout

I am trying to do a full deployment(ATG 10.0.2) and its failing with the same transaction timeout on all environments (local, dev, stage)
I have tried to reduce the maxThreads to 1 in DeploymentManager but still i get the same exception.
Incremental deployments seems to be running fine if i deploy anything, like category, products, skus.
Even the catalog feed runs and deploys fine.
I have a total of around 1500 products and 7000 skus.
In BCC screen i see it gives timeout while deploying skus

I am using ATG10.0.2 with jboss-5.1-eap
I have tried increasing the timeout on jboss, but it only stops the timeout from happening, but the full deployment takes forever and takes more than 12 hours.
The catalog itself is too small and shouldnt be taking that much at all.
I just checked one thing:
I have a one to many relation with my sku and sale price(custom table) which has 11000 rows. If i delete the data in this table the deployment happens fine and takes about 30 mins.
The relationship it self seems correct.

The only thing i m not able to understand is why its taking forever to get the full deployment.
Incremental deployment in catalog happens quickly, if i deploy any sku,product or anything.
Is it something to do with ATG or jboss?

As you do not want to do any coding, this query is in the wrong forum. However, in most versions of Crystal Reports, you can look up the database connection information by simply opening the report in the CR designer. Then go to the database menu and select "Set Datasource Location..."

Automatic bcc: for Z10 email accounts

With the old method of setting up e-mail accounts, one could arrange an automatic bcc: to sender of all messages sent from the device. I cannot locate the same feature on my new Blackberry Link software or Z10. Where should I look to set up this very handy service for keeping record copies of all emails? Thanks.

It is indeed a disappointment that BB 10 has dumped Auto Bcc and Blackberry Protect from the new operating system. Looks like it is not gonna be reinstated so soon probably to "kill" the exclusivity of BB users.
Anyhow, we can work around this and still get a copy of mails we sent from OS 10 devices.
Here is how we have done it and it works for all of us. When we do this, a copy of mail sent from the devise is placed in the webmail's SENT folder ( Thunderbird/squirrel) etc. When you move these mails to the INBOX of WEBMAIL the same will be downloaded in to OUTLOOK and other mail clients set up on your LAPTOP/DESKTOP/ Handheld devises including Iphone and IPad.
SET UP email account in IMAP
At the bottom of the mail set up page, you will have an option " Append Messages to SENT folder" Select this option.
I am using Iphone 5, Ipad and a macbook. On my Z10, I have set the mail in IMAP. All other devises are on POP.
Mails sent from Z 10 are stored/listed in the SENT box of Z 10 mail box. To see these mails, you can tap the the down arrow on the top right hand corner of your Z10 mail box. This opens up mail box options. As you scrol down you will see "SENT" Expand this to see all mails you have sent from Z 10

Removing an automatic Bcc address

I have an automatic Bcc address that someone put into my mail tool, how do I get rid of the automatic Bcc address. I can use customize and eliminate the field, but how would I go about removing the automatic address in the Bcc field in my mail tool?

You will need to go to the Mail menu and select Preferences. Then click on the second icon in the top bar Accounts. Here you will need to change the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server (smtp). To get the exact information go to their website. Take a look at Quest's support page and browse the topics. Click on the link to setup my Mail account. There is a link to Apple Mail, and then, depending on the email address you have the list the Incoming and Outgoing Mail servers for you. Then call them for help if you have specific questions. They are often quite good at walking you through the setup. Tell them that you are using Apple Mail and they will have an agent who is familiar with Mail help you.

User setup: automatic bcc?

my manager wants some users setup to be automatically blind carbon copied (bcc) to him for auditing purposes. The manuals say this can be done on the server, but I can't figure out HOW. anyone have ideas? I see that it can be done for ALL users, but he only wants a few, and naturally done on the server. We're transitioning from Eudora IMS, but this is a big stumbling block.

Automatic BCC was never a device-level function...rather, it was a server-side function, provided as part of BIS, with merely an on-device interface to that server-side setting. But the device itself did not perform that function.
With BB10, BIS no longer exists, so a different solution must be found. Typically, this involves having your email outbound server do this, if they indeed offer such.
However, what you say concerning "sent e-mails go directly out from the mobile and not through the provider" is not accurate...with BB10, sent items use your email service outbound SMTP server, and with compatible services, can place Sent Items into the server-based Sent Items folder.
The 3 "weak points" you mention are indeed accurate...we all are hopeful that future releases of the OS will enable more functionality.
Please consider that BB10 was not an evolution from legacy BBOS...rather, it is a completely new platform, built from the ground up. I have found that the best way to approach it is with absolutely no expectations of finding anything that existed before -- and then to be happy when finding those things that indeed remain in place, along with hopefulness that more of those will return as the OS continues to be improved and enhanced as it matures.

OB52 Posting Period Close: Does anyone know how to automate the close?

Does anyone know how to automate the FI Period Close (trans code OB52)? Currently, the business users go into the screen and open and close any periods manually. For the MM period close, we are able to do so because we found the program to use in the batch job. For some reason, the FI side shows the program SAPL0F00 but this is only a view and will not allow a batch job to be created. Does anyone know of the actual program used for the FI period close?
