How to automatically reload .js file

Hi,
I have a HTML page on that includes a .js file. On changing
the .js file, I sometimes need to CTRL+F5 in order to get the new
contents of the .js file included on the page and the normal F5
doesn't work.
Is this normal or is there something I can add to automate
this load? We want customers to see the new contents and not the
old .js contents.

Yes. This may happen with all cacheable resources: JS, CSS,
images,
static HTML pages ...

They will see it, either immediately or after a few hours,
dependent on
the browser configuration. Usually cached resources will be
checked
again automatically after a while to see if they are still
fresh or if
they were modified on the server.
There are also ways to control the caching behaviour with
HTTP headers,
but this requires some modifications in the server
configuration, for
example in an .htaccess file.

XSL stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language, and is a style sheet language for XML documents. .xsl is the extension of the XSL file.Thank you, I am aware of all that.
When we design any format by using drag & drop utility, System has to generate the .xsl file (extensible stylesheet for the xml document).Why? To accomplish what?
And then .xsl file is used to display the data which is stored in xml document on the webpage with designed format.So you need to define the mapping between XML and HTML? and you're hoping to do that automatically?
That's a job for a user interface designer. Not a tool.

It would make more sense if you started from a schema. Starting from an actual XML document, i.e. an instance of the schema, no, not even slightly.

How to Automate Compressing PDF files in a Watched Directory

I want to automatically compress PDF files as they get placed into a watched directory. I would like the compressed files placed in another directory and have the original file either deleted or place in another directory. If Acrobat Pro X can do this, how do I set it up.

I noticed that Acrobat Distiller will watch an input directory and move files to an output directory. I tried using Distiller to compress a PDF file, but all it did was move the PDF file to the out directory without doing any compression. Is there any way that Distiller could be configured to do what I want?
I also called the number listed on the Adobe web site for LiveCycle products. They told me they don't sell their product to non government companies and they referred me to 4 Point to get further info. I called them and only got a voice mail. I'm waiting for a call back.
I found a product that does exactly what I need. It is called PdfCompressor Professional Edition. But, it costs more than what I want to spend. I'm guessing that LiveCycle will cost more than I want to spend also. If there are any other products that cost less than $150, I would like to know what they are.

How to automatically open csv files in Excel on imac

I am migrating back from Google Chrome to firefox and would like to have the browser automatically open csv files to Excel on my mac desktop. The step to have them saved in the download folder and then go in an open it in Excel adds an unnecessary action. In the earlier versions of Firefox on my windows machine this worked as desired. When uploading a site how to automatically add supported files

I have cs5.5 and when I upload an edited page to a site that I have, how do I include all images and other files (include php files) that are part of the page, without having to upload each file seperatly. I had this set up on dw 8 and cs4, that everything pretending to that page got automatically uploaded, but can not seem to be able to find where i set this up on cs5.5, thx for your help

When you transfer a document between a local and remote folder using the Files panel, you have the option of transferring the document’s dependent files. Dependent files are images, external style sheets, and other files referenced in your document that a browser loads when it loads the document.
When you put files on the server for the first time, DW asks you if you want to include dependent files, and also to check a box to stop asking again in future. Someone must have clicked the box!
Go to DW Preferences > click on 'site' panel. Dependent files -- 'prompt on get/check out' and 'prompt on put/check in'. Make sure these boxes are both checked.

I always use Firefox with multiple tab, and I used RelaodEvery for add on. because I need every tab refresh automatic, if I close Firefox I save with much tab (example 9 tab), so if I start Firefox again, tab will open again... but I must setting Reload Every again for every tab, because every tab have deferent time for reload.

How to automatically add new files to external iTunes Media Library

I have an external hard drive that I store all of my music on and have set as my iTunes media file location. When I connect it, I open iTunes and can play all of my songs off of the hard drive with no problem. But many times I do not have my external hard drive plugged in when I purchase and add new files onto iTunes. Because of this, even though I have my preferences set to automatically add new iTunes files to the external media folder, when I connect my hard drive, the files will not be on the hard drive's media folder and they will not immediately transfer over to the hard drive, and I will then have to add them manually. Is there a setting that I can use that will set all new or recently added files on my iTunes to be transferred over to my external hard drive once it is connected? Or maybe a command that compares my iTunes with my external media file folder and transfers all new media over to my external folder? Any help would be appreciated.

Well I actually found something that was fairly close to what I was looking for. If you right click a file or selection of files then click the option 'consolidate files' you can copy them to the media library. I guess I'll just have to filter my recently added playlist by the right amount of time then use the consolidate option. I still think that making a feature that automatically copys newly added files to the external media folder once it is connected would be a very worthwile investment in Apple's time

With Firefox doing normal downloads, the download will pause when you
close FF while doing a download, or pause the download yourself. When
FF restarts, so do the downloads. 
But some web sites will not allow this. So you end up with a bad download
and have to start over.

How to automatically make the file search pop up automatically list files alphabetically?

When I try to attach a file to an email a pop up window appears to search for a file. I have many files in My Documents but they all appear in some random order. I can right click and sort by name but I have to do this every time. I also tried going into File > Open File and the same thing, its in a random order.
When I open the folder through Windows everything is in alphabetical order and I've also tried opening several programs like Word, IE, Chrome and when I search for a file everything is in alphabetical order. Only Firefox does this.

How to automate multiple output file names from a single input image?

I have about 100 eps cmyk 4000 pixel wide images to process daily. The website needs several jpeg editions of the same image: 1000 pixel wide, 850 pixel wide, and 80 pixel wide.
Question:
Can I load the single source and save three differently named outputs through a single droplet?
I was hoping for an Automation -> Batch answer, but I am a programmer. I haven't touched ExtendScript nor scripted anything in CS, but I can certainly read about it. Any examples I can download or references to methods that would do a "Save As" very similar to the Jpeg Save For Web? Any links would be helpful.

Automatic reload of Struts .properties file

How do I configure the Sun Java System Web Server to automatically reload the Struts ApplicationResources.properties file? If this file changes, I would prefer to not have to restart the server.

If not I would suggest you check your reference to the properties file in your struts-config.xml.
In struts-config.xml you should have something like the following:

You should still disable this setting:

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

As we know we can load excel file through ODI but their is some manual work we have to do each time and it will only support in Windows platform
How we can load excel file through ODI in Unix system and it should be automate so in one directory i got this file it should able to load the data automatically no manual intervention required.

On windows jdbc-odbc bridge is used to read from excel file. Since such odbc setup is available only on windows hence the restriction. If there is any type 4 jdbc driver available for excel that it would works on unix too.

cs4 had it 'on launch' --> last documents open, under general preferences. i don't see it in cc version, so i guess you're right. hard to understand, since it saved time.
