How to avoid wrong budget values on S_ALR_87013558 report?

Hi experts.
In the budget drilldown report S-ALR_87013558, the budget column is displaying values that do not match budget profile exchance rates, as well as other rates defined in "currency" button. Other column show expected values according to exchange rates. In some cases, available budget column shows negative values as commitment seems to be higher tha budget, due to this distortion. Does anyone know how to explain this. I search for a SAP note for this, but I coudn´t find any related.

Please check in OBYC Currency table the data when you have entered Budget.
Check the date when you created PO and same you can check in OBYC Currency table. Match both ?
If you are updating the Exchange rate on day to day basis then the value what you are getting is based on the date.
Because if you have Budgeted 3 months back it will record the currency rate of that date in OBYC and when if you made PO with current date it will update today's date value in OBYC.
OB08 Maintain the exchange rate as per the day or period. Please do check this also.
There could one more possibilities the moment when you create PO you can check whether Exchange rate is entered manually or not if enter manually then this could also be one reason.
Finally If the Currency rate is maintain constant then it will pick the same if you don't follow the constant then it will pick the date currency.

We Don't want to delete these values.
- NO records there in cube for (CID = JOKN) and in reports with the name JOKN
I want to see only JOHN in selection not JOKN(Wrong spell).
Please tell me how to avoid wrong spell values at Qry selection level without deleting Master data.

Hello Nara,
One solution is to write customer-exit variable that will be populated only by correct values. You can archieve this by joining master data table with DSO active table
or master data table with dimension table and fact table(s).
Now restrict query with this non-input variable in restrictions and create input variable that will take place in default values.
But since it's customer master data you may encounter serious performance problems. I guess that's the reason why BEx doesn't do this by default.

How to avoid the message in the dashboard report

I am developing Dashboard reports(graphs) using WAD. Query and WAD are working fine. I need to put a variable for Calendar Month or Year in the graph .I am populating the Variable with default value initially and I am getting the correct result . But if I change the Variable value second time, I am getting a message (type I(information) ) in the same screen which says that 'You cannot change variable ZCALYEAR_WT01 for charact. 0CALYEAR during query navigation' . And below is the detailed information about the error message.
The Can be changed in query navigation property has been set for variable ZCALYEAR_WT01, characteristic 0CALYEAR. However, the variable is used in the query in such a way, that the system is unable to apply this change-option.
This can, for example, occur under the following conditions:
Characteristic 0CALYEAR is filtered by additional restrictions (the restrictions must be joined using an OR-connection)
A second characteristic, which is restricted by a variable, is compounded to charcteristic 0CALYEAR.
Variable ZCALYEAR_WT01 is a hierarchy node variable, but the hierarchy has not been determined uniquely.
A variable can be changed during query navigation only if it is used exclusively in a drilldown-characteristic, and there are no further restrictions to the characteristic other than this variable. There must be no additional characteristics with variables compounded to the characteristic you are working with. For variables for hierarchy nodes, the hierarchy must be determined uniquely and agree with the set display hierarchy.
Also, if the characteristic value is moved, for example (ZCALYEAR_WT01 - 1), the variable is no longer able to be changed when navigating queries.
System Response
The entry ZCALYEAR_WT01 Can be changed during query navigation is not applied.
Procedure
I checked the query definition and it is not having any offset or any other restrictions for Calendar Year
It is used for finding the total quantity by country for the year .Hence Quantity keyfigure is added in the Keyfigures and Country is in the Rows and Calendar Year is restricted with Variable in the global filter .There are no other fields and no other restrictions .
I am still trying to figure out why the warning apprears in the DashBoard. Since this Dashboard report will be used by the Power users and this warning message will be annoying to them .Hence I need to find how to avoid this message.
Kindly do let me if anyone has faced this and solved earlier.

How to use the prompt value in the report column

Hi
I have a report prompt column which is 'Adj Type' which holds values 10,20,30 and when user selects Adj Type = 10 then this value should be passed to report column.
For Eg. Column 1 value is 10 and this should multiple with prompt value and the output should be 10* 10.
Any thoughts how to capture the prompt values in report column for calculation.

2) In Fx Table_name.Your_column * @{P_Var}
@{P_var}{20} ( 20 is default value it will override when a user selects value in prompt

Some users want to change default values shown in Report Delivery Options when creating standard subscriptions. Someone might want to always Cc the report to a specified user without sending the report URL. So they want to display those default values display
automatically when creating standard subscriptions like below.
Solution
To achieve this goal, please embed JavaScript code into the SubscriptionProperties.aspx file to change those default values (By default, the file’s location is: <Installation directory>\Reporting Services\ReportManager\Pages\SubcriptionProperties.aspx).
The example below will show how to set default values for “Cc” field and “Include Link” field.
Before coding, pleas find out the corresponding HTML tags of the two fields in the browser using IE Developer Tools.

How to change drill filter values of all reports at the same time

The Webintelligence users in our environment usuallly use drill filters in their document's reports. We'd like to find a way to change the drill filters' values of all reports when one value is selected. I mean, we need a work around to change the drill filters of all reports at the same time.
We are using Business Objects XI 3.1 (a lot of webintelligence documents available, over than 2500).
Does someone know a way to do that? I've already looked for that a lot, but I couldn't find anything.

How to Create Custom 0VTYPE (Value Type for Reporting)

For the project I'm now on. There is a need to "create" or "customize" the Value Type for Reporting. I now there are in a Field Called WRTTP in R/3 (Controlling). Is there a way to create or maintain those "values" for the Field WRTTP so it can be brought to BW as a 0VTYPE Charaterictic Master Data.
Remember that Master Data should be consistent within the Business Language and the Systems that support it.

Kamal, that's an option, but then it wouldn't be consistent to what R/3 has as Master Data. So we're looking to "customize" the WRTTP values in order to take them from R/3 to BW.

How to avoid the null values from xml publisher.

I am creating a report which have the claim numbers with the values CLA001,CLA111,null, null . when i preview my report it is showing some spaces for null values also. How can i avoid the spaces from the report.
I am giving for loop for the claim numbers in the template.

According to your description, you are experiencing the null values and infinity values when browser the calculated measure, right?
Based on my research, the issue is caused by that dividing a non-zero or non-null value by zero or null. In this cases, we need to check for division by zero to avoid this situation. Here is the sample query for you reference.

We want to dynamically pass values from remote machines into the given input parameters of a Given Search help and receive the output into a table (no dialogs required .. so no pop ups )

How to get the customized value of a Report portlet in a page

I have a report portlet and it has a bind variable which users can customize when added to a page. There is a link to a Form page in the report , to which I need to pass the value of bind variable customized by the user. I used :

function, it works ok when we run the report alone .But when we add the report as a portlet in page , it does not return any value. How do I get the customized field value in a page.

i have a xml report, it shows 7 rows in one page. the question is: if there are just 7 rows , when previews with pdf, it will generate 2 pages, the first page shows 7 rows, and the second page is blank.

I am running a report in xml publisher. The output of the report prints 2
pages, one page with correct report output and other page is a blank page
with header details.
