How to begin a successful freelance scripter career?

Dear all,
Due to economic troubles in my country, the number of pages in the magazine a work for has reduced by half. As a result, I have less work, slashed salary, more free time and desire to occupy myself with what I really love to do – writing scripts. Since there exist people that develop scripts, I guess that people, who need scripts to be written for them and willing to pay for that, must exist somewhere as well.
Q #1: How to find them?
I browsed dozens of freelance sites, but found only one request to write a script for InDesign, back in 2008. I couldn't find even an appropriate category: something like scripting for InDesign, Photoshop, InCopy, etc.
Q #2: What are the rates for writing scripts? How such kind of work is rated: by hours, number of lines/characters?
Q #3: How to transfer money from country to country?
As far as I understand, the most popular way to pay online is PayPal, but it imposed restrictions in my country: we can send money, but can't receive them. Which money transfer system to choose: SWIFT, MoneyGram, Western Union, Contact, Unistream?
I would appreciate any advice on this subject because I really don't know where to start.

Unless something is horribly wrong (i.e. the optimizer picks a radically incorrect plan), if you can do something in SQL, it will always be faster to do it in SQL. Doing things in PL/SQL, particularly using cursor FOR loops and single row inserts, is the slowest possible way to do anything (well, other than having nested FOR loops).
Long before you start looking at things like the APPEND hint, I would focus on implementing a single SQL statement that generates the correct results. Once you have that and you have a benchmark, you can decide whether it is "fast enough". If it is (and I suspect it will be), you don't have to delve any deeper. If you need more performance, you can start looking into parallelism, the APPEND hint, etc. but be aware that this generally increases the complexity of the system.

How do I use a Java script in place of a standard link?

Hi! I'm very new to html and totally unfamiliar with Java. Basically my html has a link like this: Mr Nobody and I didn't like how easy it was for spammers to harvest that email address from my website. I looked at this site http://www.bronze-age.com/nospam/ which allowed me to download a javascript .js file and some instructions on how to recode my email link so that it's hidden.
I've loaded the java procedure in the head of the html just like the website says. He says that every link must be converted to a script call; so what previously was Mr Nobody changes to <script>mail2("nobody","fake.address9z",0,"","Mr Nobody")</script>. What does this mean? I replaced the stuff from the inside of the quotes in the href and weird stuff happens. What do I actually replace or how do I call up this script?
I basically have created an image mapped link that I want to call this javascript when clicked.

                       What you were doing is partially right.
The correct format to write in the script is as follows :
/: if &PRICE& ne 0.
&PRICE&
/: endif.

There are a set of characters / icons /symbols that can be included in Script , for that open a window in edit mode and in the menu there will be an option called Insert , here you can find a lot of characters/symbols that can be included .

2.write the data between protect and end protect.
3.Enclose the text that you want to prevent page-break in PROTECT... ENDPROTECT
SAPscript will ensure that each line of this text is printed together on the same page.

You can create an environment variable called "SQLPATH" which is a list of directories that SQL*Plus will search for your .SQL
scripts.

Save odm_script.sql file to the default Oracle
directory i.e. Oracle-Home/bin and Run following command
through SQL Plus.

How to sign a profile via Script

Hi,
i have managed an internal Website on which a User can log in with his Active Directory Account. The Site is looking for his phone number in the AD and an additional "AirTerminal" account for his phone number. If everything is ok, the User has the choice to select iPhone or Windows Mobile. After the choice he can push a button "Send Configuration".
The Configuration will be sent out to his phone with a SMS which includes a One-Time-URL. This One-Time-URL can, of course, be used only once, after that the URL will not work anymore.
The URL contains a File, specially for this particullary user, preconfigured with his E-Mail, Domain and Username. After the Profile is installed, the User is only be prompted to supply his Windows Password for Exchange.
This is working fine!!! We do not have any problems with this kind of deployment and the Users like it.
The only thing disturbing is the "Unsigned" showing up in the Profile. We would like to sign this Profile and really do not want to use the ICU or SCEP and so on. Our solution is completely independent of infrastructure. The solution can be used with any kind of LDAP. So no need fpr Microsoft AD and so on...
How can this be resolved with scripting like shell, bash, php or whatever...
Could be that there is one time, and we will be kick off Microsoft, or whatever...

You can use lauchd to run the script.
Here's an example of an Automator App that I have scheduled to run at 7am daily:
You would save this as com.yourname.plist and put it the the Folder: ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ (then log out and back in, or reboot)
(To run a workflow, change open to automator)
(A nice GUI launchd editor is Lingon)
