How to block c:\ drive while accessing mozilla firefox throgh Citrix

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 17.0 and would like to prevent c:\ drive. Is there any way to sort out this issue?

Firefox doesn't store your email or contacts, it displays that data from the webmail server that you connect to with Firefox.

I just want to block a particular website from mozilla firefox browser. The steps given in the option are not working really. let me know in details the procedure to block a particular website.

The best way to do this is not by browser but by using parental controls. Blocking in a browser can always be bypassed (usually very easily). Block and unblock websites with parental controls

Is the menu bar missing (the one containing File, View, Edit etc)? If it is, the following link shows how to restore it - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Menu+bar+is+missing

hi Gryse, in the scenario you've described it is not possible to bring up the remember password dialog again, also firefox won't even have your credentials in memory anymore (your login status on the site is stored in a cookie that the website has set on your computer).
please contact the account settings on the website and see if they offer to change the password or send a reset link to a mail address used to register or else contact the support of the website.

Not something that anyone usually attempts. If you use Firefox it builds up its own cache. I am not even sure Chrome uses the sametypeof cache files. Are there particular problems you are trying to solve ?

• Accidentally i have blocked all cookies while surfing through firefox to my gmail account. Though i can open gmail account through internet explore I fail to do the same through firefox. Somebody help

just couple of days back i accidentally disabled all cookies to my gmail account while accessing it through mozilla firefox. Now though i can still access my gmail account through other browers i cannot access it through mozilla firefox. How i can access my gmail account through mozilla firefox and thereafter enable all cookies.

Hello there,
I also recently had that problem, I was person number 5, I just uninstalled firefox and when it asked me if I wanted to save my preferences (ie. bookmarks history cookies...) I said no and then installed it again from IE. Everything is fine now I just set my setting again and made sure that I only allowed cookies for the session and that learned the problem right up. Hope that helps.

• How to know my previous version of Mozilla Firefox I used

Mozilla Firefox automatically updated to version 32. Previously I used older version. I want to uninstall this version and again wanted to install older version. But I dont know which version I used. I never checked it.
So please tell me how to know previous version I used
The main problem is in older version I can pause and resume any downloads. But it is not possible in this new version.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if you can pause downloads. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
*In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
*In previous Firefox versions, click on the Firefox button at the top left of the Firefox window and click on Help (or click on Help in the Menu bar, if you don't have a Firefox button) then click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

• Receiving pop ups while using mozilla firefox

I primarily use Mozilla Firefox on my MacBook Air. I have been receiving many pop ups when searching the internet. In addition to that I noticed something called, "Mackeeper" installed on my computer, which I don't remember being their previously.

Helpful Links Regarding Malware Problems
If you are having an immediate problem with ads popping up see The Safe Mac » Adware Removal Guide and AdwareMedic.
Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click on Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If this stops your problem, then re-enable them one by one until the problem returns. Now remove that extension as it is causing the problem.
The following comes from user stevejobsfan0123. I have made minor changes to adapt to this presentation.
Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet, and the page you entered will appear rather than the malicious one.
An excellent link to read is Tom Reed's Mac Malware Guide.

If you require anti-virus protection Thomas Reed recommends using ClamXAV. (Thank you to Thomas Reed for this recommendation.)
From user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:
The facts are:
1. There is no anti-malware software that can detect 100% of the malware out there.
2. There is no anti-malware that can detect everything targeting the Mac.
3. The very best way to prevent the most attacks is for you as the user to be aware that
the most successful malware attacks rely on very sophisticated social engineering
techniques preying on human avarice, ****, and fear.
4. Internet popups saying the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on
your computer is intended to entice you to install their malware thinking it is a
        protection against malware.
5. Some of the anti-malware products on the market are worse than the malware
from which they purport to protect you.
6. Be cautious where you go on the internet.
7. Only download anything from sites you know are safe.
8. Avoid links you receive in email, always be suspicious even if you get something
you think is from a friend, but you were not expecting.
9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume it is malware.
I would guess the above should apply to Mozilla-based browsers as well.

• Firefox 4 download. Since, Windows start button options changed. Should be browser agnostic, can you please tell me how to fix this? While I love Firefox, this has me livid! (1 irony, Firfox is no longer in my Start button menu.)

I first noticed an issue when looking for something normally located in the Accessories folder of MS programs. What I found upon clicking on "All Programs" was not the program file/folder tree I expected but rather a direct list of all files in the Program Files folder. I then went to open a new session of Firefox to research that issue and noticed my basic Start button options were also changed. Now, even focus for event-driven events is not working correctly. Again, while I love Firefox, this needs to be fixed immediately or I will be forced to uninstall the product just to function.

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

• I can no longer open tabs while in Mozilla Firefox. It only opens my default site.

I keep losing internet connection via IE. I have been using Mozilla Firefox and, I am now starting to drop internet connection via Firefox. I've had my router checked and that is not the problem. When I do connect and see my default page, I can no longer access additional tabs to go to other sites. Please advise.

Disabling is not enough, you need to uninstall the toolbar.
Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

• How can I make the initial "Meet Mozilla Firefox" window stop opening?

I update to Firefox 8 today and now every time I go into Firefox I keep getting the "Meet Mozilla Firefox" window. How can I make that window not open again?

It sounds like maybe your home page was accidentally set to include multiple pages, including the add-on manager. Try opening the Firefox options window and pasting the address of just your desired page in the "Home Page" field.

• How I can set my default browser mozilla firefox from the command line in Windows 7?

I need to set my default browser mozilla firefox from the command line, ie without using the GUI.

-setDefaultBrowser is the correct command - you need the two capital letters.
Why Firefox 17.0.1? You would be missing a number of important security updates. Firefox 17.0.9 is the current ESR release version.
