How to block certain cookies

How to block certain cookies?

If it further helps, I read recently an answer from Thomas Reed, one of our top people, who suggested cookies should not carry the notorious reputation they do.
I must admit to being a touch wary of them and I use a cookie killer called 'Cookie', believe it or not.   Comes from the App Store and is about £2 at the moment.  This removes them as you wish, but not permanently; it also removes flash cookies, a more dangerous breed.   I will see if I can find Thomas Reed's thread; I'm sure he won't mind me repeating it for you.

I use the free "privoxy" program as a proxy...it sits between my browser and the internet and can be configured to block various URLs. OTOH, it's easy to circumvent: a user could tell the browser to connect directly instead of via proxy or use a different browser. A stricter filter would be to use the built-in "ipfw" firewall (for which one can use the shareware BrickHouse as a GUI) to disallow contacting certain servers...this occurs at a more fundamental level of the network connection and can only be changed by an admin user, so the user or browser configs can't avoid it.

  • How to block certain external users?

We've just deployed Lync 2013 with an Edge server. I have federation working with Skype and with our internal Video Conferencing equipment. I'm able to setup Skype users so they can call our Video equipment directly. Is there a way to block certain
email addresses or domains (like @outlook.com), from making a call to a Lync user?

At an administrative level, under Federation and External Access - > SIP Federated Domains, you can add a new Blocked Domain, however if it's Skype it may not work as these addresses will come in a bit differently than a normal federated domain.
At a user level, you could add them to the user's contact list and right click to change the privacy relationship to blocked.
For a single contact, you can't really apply this at an administrative level for all users.
At a user level you can't really do this to block an entire domain.

    Hi ,
You can very well control this with the basis help.Pls inform to basis the role of a user which you want to restrict the access to transaction code.We can control this through the authorisation object concept with activities create/change/display/release etc.
Please don't use any exits for this, this is possible in standard SAP.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to block certain line items in vendor invoive for payment

    Hello FI Guru's.
We have a business requirement where we have to block cetain line items on a vendor invoice and pay the balance. How can we achive that ?
    Cheers!
    Sajal

    Hi
There are three ways in which you can block an invoice for a payment:
    a) Block at the document level
    b) Block at the Vendor Level or
    c) Block at the Payment Program level.
Any of the 3 blocks above will block the whole invoice as the block is at the vendor line item.
I don't think there is an option to partially block the invoice atleast by Automatic Payment Progam.
You can opt for payment through F-58 & make partial payments.
    Thanks

  • HT5403 how to block stored cookies to come back again...so annoying

i can't find the solution for this..i go on safari preferences...everything is checked properly ...like block pop up windows etc etc...but as soon i cancel the stored cookies and caches, while i'm watching few websites, annoying pop up windows still opening up...there is not a chance to decide which website they can store or can get in touch with my imac...so annoying...safari also is getting slower and sometimes is popping up the spinning wheel because is slow...very annoying Help me please!!!!
I tried to find also where this caches and cookies are stored in my system to cancel them manually..but still not find a solutions...it looks like my imac it's like the horrible windows
    advertisement like
    lidl.it
    ivid.it
the problem is that they are opening several pages, like 30-40 one after another one

In Firefox go to Tools/Addons/Extensions and install QuickJava 2.0.4. Then enable Bookmarks Toolbar, then right-click / customize, and add a few QuickJava's buttons, specifically the JS, F, J, SL, A, I.
Then, with just one click on F button you can disable/enable Flash. If you also click on JS, it cannot run nasty scripts. If you click on A, animated images are blocked, on SL Silverlight etc.
So just before you visit such websites, just click on JS and F. When you leave, click again.

  • How to block certain web pages?

This web page opens by itself in a new tab and starts talking. http://malwarewarning.net/ It is an obvious scam. I have tried deleting cookies. Is their any way to get rid of this? It is very annoying.

How independent is it of other activity in Firefox or on your system? Can you find any of these patterns:
    * Appears when visiting particular websites
    * Appears when loading the home page (using Ctrl+n or Home button)
    * Appears when opening a new tab (using Ctrl+t or "+" button)
    * Only appears when using Firefox desktop shortcut
    * Appears at particular times of day (often even if Firefox is fully closed)
    * Appears when taking other actions on the computer (e.g., using a freeware program)
Your Firefox settings look reasonable, so I don't see an obvious culprit. I suggest starting your investigation and cleanup here:
    (1) Open the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help in smoking out undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.
    (2) Check your '''connection setting''' to make sure it hasn't been pointed to a hijacked DNS server:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" settings. You also could try "No proxy" to see whether that works better.
    (3) Open Firefox's '''Add-ons page''' using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click '''Plugins'''. Set nonessential and unrecognized plugins to "Never Activate".
In the left column, click '''Extensions'''. Then, if in doubt, disable (or Remove, if possible) unrecognized and unwanted extensions.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Any improvement?
    (4) You can search for remaining issues with the '''scanning/cleaning tools''' listed in our support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. These on-demand scanners are free and take considerable time to run. If they finish quickly and especially if they require payment, you may have a serious infection. I suggest the specialized forums listed in the article in that case.

  • How to block certain websites, stopping from getting in?

  • Will blocking certain cookies slow down pages from loading?

Recently I have been experiencing some weird lag in loading pages. If I go to a new page - the site has a weird lag in showing the page. The bar in the bottom right stalls at 40 - 50%. This happens for up to a minute or two. Then everything moves forward.
I have scanned for spyware. Ran my troubling shooting software like Onyx. Disabled my add-ons. All of this has helped a bit. But it is still kind of happening.
The only other change I have made is that I have been adding to my blocked cookies list. I have been adding web addresses that have been coming up in my scan as tracking cookies.
Is it possible that blocking cookies from loading is causing a lag in loading pages?
Or do I need to be looking for something else?
== URL of affected sites ==

I guess I'll join another forum, were there's people smart enough to help.

  • How to block certain Distribution Channel / Billing type combination?

    Hello,
Is there a possibility to prevent creating biling document if it contains certain combination of Distribution channel in document header and billing type (i.e. F2 / 20)?. Some user exit?
    Thanx.

    Few options are there
    1)  Try with billing user exit USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZC)
    2)  Have a separate billing type for the distribution channel which you dont want to generate billing where you can have a different doc pricing procedure.  Dont assign this document pricing procedure in OVKK
    3)  If you go for separate billing type, you can also avoid maintaining copy control in VTFL
    4)  Apart from all the above options, you can also add this logic in your existing routine such that if the combination of particular distribution channel and F2 comes, it should not be generated / saved.
    thanks
