How to build Fax Server by Java?

Receive Fax
1. I need to develop a Java program to listen the incoming fax through DID modem which supports Class 2.0 - the Post 1992 Standard.
2. After receiving the fax data from modem, the Java program converts fax to jpg.
Sending Fax
1. Convert MS Word doc file to JPG.
2. Convert MS Word doc file to Fax format and send by modem.
Are there any libraries to do file convertion and communicate with modem?
Or, is there any open source project to do it?

Depending on what u need this for, u can always look at this:

Best of luck :)

  • How to build a server?

    Hey,
Can anybody tell where I can find online tutorials on how to build a server using java?
    Thanks

    @bender02
Thx very much for your link. This ready-made solutions can help me to save a lot of otherwise wasted time. QNAP's NAS solution looks good and this Bubba|Two (though it doesn't have mirroring via raid1) is also very attractive.
I am very interested in what server solution you use.
My planned server is really for local network uses only. It should serve for file related purposes like file sharing over the network, backup (maybe with raid1) and a centralized data storage.
I think I will settle with one of this commercial and ready-for-use systems. The thought to tinker around and to make everything by yourself is very temptating but I am getting weary of it. And I dont have the time to tinker around as I have to study enormous amounts
If I did everything by myself I would have to learn how to handle ssh and rsync, which software is suited for what purpose, how I can configure each software to fit my needs and at last I would have to work on some scripts or search for them to achieve a workaround. And this takes for weeks and months, time that I can't afford -.- sometimes a desktop alone can be enough work to do, when I want everything to be "perfect" and "secure". In the past the guys worked on their motorcycles and now they work on their computers, hehe
So if nobody has a very good reason why I should tinker around, then I'll buy some ready-for-use stuff.

  • How to disable Fax Server printing?

Recently installed and configured a fax server for a client running Server 2008.  Users Remote into the server to run their industry-specific software.  If they have a need to Fax something out of this application, they change their default printer
setting in the program to the Fax server via Windows Fax and Scan.
The faxes are transmitting and being delivered OK, but there is a copy of every outgoing fax that is printing on a shared network printer.  I cannot seem to locate any settings to turn this off and cannot figure out why a copy is being sent to a non-specified
printer.  The client does not want ANY copies of these outgoing faxes printed anywhere.
Where can I turn this printing function off for faxes?

    Hi John,
Based on current situation, please refer to the following TechNet article and check if you deployed the fax
server correctly. Please also check the configuring outgoing fax settings.

Meanwhile, please refer to the following article and troubleshoot the fax server.

If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.

Hi, Is it possible to connect to sql server in java
script. I'm using microsoft jdbc driver for
connectivity to sql server. If you want to ask about Javascript, you are in the wrong place. Go and find some JavaScript forum. Actually, you could connect to database from javascript using Ajax or the like mainly because you could have Java code behind the scenes, but then that too is not something I would want to discuss here. So, go find the correct place for the topic.

    A proxy for what?
I assume that you mean a web proxy since you want to run port 80.
I would recomend that you start with an existing proxy like mine.

It is free and fully HTTP/1.1 compliant.

  • How to build LDAP server?

    Hi all!
I do have address book of company based on Oracle tables, what
should I do populate them as LDAP entries? Does it true that
the only option is to copy address book entries to existing
LDAP server? Or I could use known API to build my own LDAP server
on top of available DB tables?
    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

You may be able to find something which sits in front
of your db and makes it "look like" an LDAP data store
to your jndi code. The only such thing I'm aware of is
something called "VDE" ("Virtual Directory Engine" I
think) from a company called "OctetString".
What you can do with their product (and it is a
commercial product) is configure an adapter which, on
one side, does SQL calls to your db and, on the other,
responds to JNDI calls. So the flow is something like:
    (1) your program makes a jndi call, which (2) goes to
VDE which (3) translates the call into one or more sql
calls (which you configure inside the product), (4)
then VDE collects the resulting data, (4) swizzles it
into the appropriate objects and (5) responds to your
    original JNDI call.
I've never used their product in this way but this is
my understanding, conceptually anyway, of what it
does. There may also be other gizmos available
elsewhere which work this way. Thanks a lot! It's exactly what I have been looking for!
I've downloaded evaluation copy, checked and right now
writing memo for finance guys asking to allocate financial
    resources to buy VDE :)

  • How to Launch an Integration Builder under two different java versions

How to Launch an Integration Builder under two different java versions     1
    1. Situation     2
    2. How To Do     2
    2.1 jre preparation     2
2.2 Put them into the system     2
2.3 Execute a Java Web Start under jre 1.4.x version     3
2.4 Change Java Runtime Versions     3
2.5 Launch an Integration Builder     6
    1. Situation
OS: windows 2000 pro – English
Java version: jdk 1.5.x was already installed. (It’s not permitted to change.)
I don’t have any authorization to install any software on the PC.
But I need to use an Integration Builder.
I already knew URLs of an Integration Builder (http://<hostname>:50000/rep/start/repository.jnlp).
    2. How To Do
At this moment, an Integration Builder (XI 3.0) can be launch under jre 1.4.x environment (on windows).
    2.1 jre preparation
    I download j2re-1_4_2_10-windows-i586-p.exe from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
I installed it on my home PC and copied all files from C:\Program Files\Java\ j2re1.4.2_10\ into my USB.
2.2 Put them into the system
I pasted j2re1.4.2_10 folder from my USB into the windows 2000 pro system.
Finally, I could list up all of javaws.exe under this system.
    c:\j2re1.4.2_10\javaws\javaws.exe
    c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_05\bin\javaws.exe
    c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_05\jre\bin\javaws.exe
    c:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_05\bin\javaws.exe
2.3 Execute a Java Web Start under jre 1.4.x version
    I executed c:\j2re1.4.2_10\javaws\javaws.exe .
    2.4 Change Java Runtime Versions
Go to File-> Preferences -> Java
As you can see, it indicates 1.5 version.
    Click [FIND] button.
    Click [NEXT] button.
    Click the j2re1.4.2_10 folder.
    Click [NEXT] button.
A JRE Finder is able to find javaw.exe automatically. Or you can indicate C:\j2re1.4.2_10\bin\javaw.exe directly.
    Click [NEXT] button.
Finally, there are two Java Runtime Versions. Now you need to uncheck the Enabled column of 1.5 version and check 1.4 version.
    Click [OK] button.
Well, in the General tab, I selected None for Proxies.
    2.5 Launch an Integration Builder
In the Location field, I typed the URL of an Integration Builder jnlp.
    http://<hostname>:50000/rep/start/repository.jnlp
SAP Integration Builder comes up inside Applications area.
Select it and click [Start] button.
If you click Environment-> Integration Builder (Configuration), you can launch Integration Builder: Configuration.

I am not getting anywhere with deploying my application or
    applet.
I have set up my bc4j project. It contains all my VO info,
    links, application module. (proj a)
I then have another project with DbInfo in it(has all my rowset
info), Multiple Frames, and my Applet.java file.
Actually I have an Applet.java file and a Application.java file
because I was seeing if both/either worked. Anyway they seem the
same, except for that extra window that comes up when you run the
    applet.
I follow the steps in the oracle directions (from earlier post).
And all seems ok. But at ---->
[*] Select the subdirectory under myhtml where your applet's HTML
    file
is located, and enter the directory path of the 'staging'
    directory you
created in step 3 above, if different from the default.</li>
[*]Select the HTML files that JDeveloper created to run your
    applet.</li>
[*]Select all of the Java source files in your project that make
    up the
    applet.</li>
I have no HTML file associated with my applet, at least that I
    know of.
So do I need to create one, or should it of been done
    automatically.
Also, I trying to figure out what will be the best way to deploy
my project. Applet or stand alone application is what my first
choices have been so far. I have read that there is some issues
with applets being served from a different server than the
database. So a stand alone application was my front runner, but
I haven't gotten either way to work yet.

  • How to compile and run a Java servlet using the BEA weblogic server

              Hi,
Could you help me out as to how to compile a servlet using Web Logic server.I have written a Servlet program and have also set up the environment in the "c:\bea\wlserver6.0\config\examples" folder by giving the command setExamplesEnv.cmd.
I have stored my GreetingServlet.java file in "c:\bea\wlserver6.0\samples\examples\servlets" folder.
How do I compile my servlet now?
              Vid

    Hello,
    1. The .form file was used by Netbean's GUI builder to create the .java and is not needed for compilation.
    2..../src # javac -classpath "..." mytool/*.java
I guess the package mytool was not coped with.
Alternatively it is worth to use the ant build tool also used by Netbeans.
Then you can make a jar from the class files, indicate in the manifest.mf file:
    1. the main class
    2. the library jars

How can i build instalation program in java?
How can i connect to the server when user enter into my game not from explorer but from game?
    Thanks,Maya.

    Hi Maya
First of all an Applet does not have to be "installed" as you would with a normal application. The browser handles the install and execution of the applet.
Check out this URL for more about applets:
    http://web2.java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/applet/index.html
On the subject client/server pairs - see:
    http://web2.java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/networking/sockets/index.html
If you decide to make the game an application instead check out Sun's WebStart - under the products section.
That's about all the help I can give you.
Programming a game is a complicated subject - I am doing one too:

  • How to build a report in web Intelligence using Store procedure under Microsoft SQL Server 2000

    Post Author: ltkin
    CA Forum: WebIntelligence Reporting
    Hi,
How to build a report in web Intelligence using Store procedure under Microsoft SQL Server 2000 ?
    Regards,

    Hi ltkin,
Unfortunately, it is not possible in Xir2 to create Webi reports from stored procedures.
Webi reports can only be created from Universe. So in Business Objects XIR3 we can create a special universe that enables Web Intelligence user's to access stored procedures residing in the database. This is the only way that Web Intelligence user's can access stored procedures.
Please let me know if the above information helps.

  • How to set up fax solution using Windows 2008 R2 Fax server role and Exchange 2007

    Hello,
I don't know if this is the right forum to post this but since it is related to Exchange I thought it might be. If this is not the right place, please direct me to the forum where my post would be more appropriate.
I'm looking to set up a Fax solution for the company that I work for as we are moving away from analog phone lines to VoIP using SIP. My original thought was to set up a Windows 2008 R2 server with Fax server role installed and have it route the fax message
to Exchange 2007 SP3 so the fax message can be delivered to each user's inbox. I was reading a little bit on the Windows Fax server role and from what I saw it looks like it can only route fax messages to one email address. This not ideal for my company. Is
there a way to have the fax server role route the email to each user's inbox? If so, how can I achieve this?
How can implement this for this sending outgoing faxes as well?
I don't know if this releveant or not but I will be using Asterisk as a media gateway between our SIP trunks and the Windows Fax server.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
