How to call a BAPIs that requires a commit as a Web Service

We have a Web Dynpro Java application which has some business objects that generate notifications in a backend R/3 system. Using JCo we simply call BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE, followed by BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_SAVE, and finally BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT all using the same connection (e.g. these are stateful calls.)
Now we need to change from using JCo to calling these BAPIs as Web Services. We have generated the deployable proxy for these but can't find a way to call them in the same "ABAP session." The ports generated in the deployable proxy are set to use HTTP Cookie based sessions but the BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_SAVE and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT return empty results as if they are not being executed in the same ABAP session as the call to BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE.
We're running WAS Java 6.40 SP15. Any help would be very much appreciated.

How do I do this in ELYou don't. EL is very strict in method signatures. All get methods must be public Type getProperty(void); And all set methods must be public void setProperty(Type t);
So you will have to re-work your Bean so it does not need an argument to the get method (getDefaultColor()). Since you are calling another method out of car, you might re-write the getDefaultColor method as such:

}If that isn't suitable, then provide a helper method that is used to set the current car type and then call the getDefaultColor:

Also better then the second would be to set the current car type in a servlet or data access object (or wherever) from which your retreive the car to begin with. Manipulatig it in the JSP itself should be your last resort (to keep as much business logic out of the JSP as possible).

I am trying to create an application say "Videoshow"
Videoshow has a panel which in turn consists of 2 components : 1]a textarea( to show the contents of a page) and 2] a mediaclip(to show the video).
Now I have an application "MediaApplication"(to show the videoclip) which extends Frame (Code from Java 2 Unleashed, Chap 21). I want to show this MediaApplication in Component 2 of the above panel. But when I do this, I only see the MediaApplication frame instead of the whole SlideShow.
I want to do something likethis.

im not familiar with the code you mention from Java 2 Unleashed, but your best bet is to read up on Swing a bit - so you get an idea of how Swing containers and components work - then im sure you'll find a solution to your problems. Then if you encounter any difficulties whilst your attempting to do that, post your code in the Swing forum and im sure someone will help you.

Is it possible to use SAP JRA instead?
We have a Connector deployed on the WebAS 6.40. From an EJB (Webservice) it is possible to lookup the connector, but if i try to lookup the connector from a custom LoginModule, i get the following error:
Path to object does not exist at java:comp, the whole lookup name is java:comp/env/eis/SAPJRA_CRMDC.#
The whole lookup in LoginModule looks

I'm working in JDev 11G TP3.
I've read the section from the 11G documentation on Working with Task Flow Activities,
specifically the section 15.5.3 on How to Call an ADF Bounded Task Flow Located in Another Web Application.
I've followed the instructions but still can not seem to call another task flow in another application correctly.
Can someone send a small example specifying how the (TaskFlow Reference) section
should be filled in, and just a general simple outline of process to set the whole process up.

Your EL for the remote-app-url needs to return something like this
"http://www.acme.com:80/myapp/faces/adf.task-flow"
where "http://www.acme.com:80/myapp/faces" is the root of the url you'd normally use to access the remote application.
I filed two bugs:
bug 6944247 to improve the documentation
bug 6944246 to fix the fact that you currently have to specify the 'adf.task-flow' part. You shouldn't need to do that. But doing so for now will get it to work.

Oracle script that was used to confirm the web services working????

I am having major problems with the top 2 web servers and top 3 app servers, which would be the cluster facing our external customers. This is how our our web services are deployed. I used an oracle script that was used to confirm the web services worked when I installed this working with the oracle consultant taken from metalink. I simply edited it for our web services.
Can’t deploy web services. Using a script. 2 work on 2 of the machines. Doesn't always work on third machines. Third web service doesn't work on any of the machines.

Well, no. It's because that the iPod 4th Gen has iOS 6 and the apps need iOS 7. I suggest that you get the new iPod 5 because it has iOS 7. Also the iPod 4 does not have enough CPU or RAM. The new iPod 5 has enough CPU and RAM to store iOS 7 apps.
