How to call a local protocol proxy service in Fire and Forget manner

Hi,
I have two proxy services ProxyA(Http proxy) and ProxyB(local protocol based). I have to call ProxyB from ProxyA but dont have to wait for the response from ProxyB, so its like a aysnc fire and forget call. I tried using publish action with the Mode set to "Request" but the ProxyA keeps waiting for the response from ProxyB. Has any body implemented such kind of scenario? Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Anuj

Ok, I understand. The crucial question here is "what is a caller that you refer to?"
Don't get me wrong, but the problem here is that you probably don't understand, what OSB is good for. OSB is an event-driven system. The event in your case is a new message in remote FTP server. You have to define what should happen when that event is fired. And that's all. You don't have to involve other client (or caller) for this case.
You should define your FTP proxy to retrieve all relevant files from FTP server and then you should route them based on their name/content/encoding/whatever to different consumers. You can also have many proxies if you want - one for each name. It's up to you. But you don't have any "callers" in either case.

  • How to call a text FTP proxy service from a Java client ?

    Greetings,
I've configured a text FTP proxy service which downloads files from a FTP server. It pols a directory on the FTP server and, as soon as a file respecting a given pattern apears it is downloaded. I tested the service in the test console and by putting some test files onto the FTP server. Now, I need to be able to test it from a Java client. How may I do that ? I need to write a Java client to connect to the OSB and to tell to it to use the FTP proxy in order to download a given file, from a given location and to put it in a given location on the client machine. Many thanks in advance for any help. A sample would be great !

  • Local transport proxy service vs http proxy service

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me why it is better to use Local transport proxy service in OSB than http for modularity?

    Hi Atheek,
    Thanks for you reply.
My doubt is where local transport proxy service is deployed?
Like if we invoke a http based proxy service which is deployed at certain Endpoint and jms based proxy service is deployed as MDB which kepps listening to a queue.
Similarly, when i invoke local transport proxy service where and how OSB runtime looks for it?

  • How to use a file transport proxy service as trigger for a webservice

    Hi,
I've implemented a alsb file transport proxy service. This proxy is watching a common directory and detects new files. After detection, the proxy move them in an archive folder.
After that I want call an external webservice with the filename as input parameter.
How can I comfigure that with the alsb console.
    best regards
    Oliver
with the to extract the filename after it was renamed by the proxy service.

How do you invoke/ instantiate the file based proxy service. Does it just run on activation in sb console? Does it continue to detect files or does it stop after detecting one file?
Also what is the format of the URL that points to the file folder.
For Ex: I have a folder named "TestFiles" on the C:\drive of the server.

  • How to call a "iView" in Portal Service

    Hi,
I want to call a "iView" from portal service.
Can somebody suggest me how to call? I am not aware of the method for doing so.
Any sample code will be helpful.
    Thanks in advance.
    Manish

    Hello Manish,
as far as I know, it's not possible to call an iView from a portal service. The intention of a portal service is to provide general functionality that may be used by several iViews. So, you can call a service from an iView, but not the other way round.
Have a look at the documentation, I hope this clarifies things a little bit: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/df/e6b74253ffda11e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

  • How to maintain messageId when using proxy services and mq??

    Hi
I am a novice to oracle service bus and trying few transformations by configuring proxy services.
Let me explain the problem I'm facing:
I have created a business service and a proxy service and configured them in a synchronous way.
I'm using MQ as a transport protocol....and message I'm passing and transforming is in xml format.
these proxy and business services are functioning properly.....but at the another end i have created another pair of busines and proxy service which will be taking request message from earlier business service and putting it into another queue which is reference as a response queue by earlier proxy service.
my second pair is also working properly. now the problem is that it is not maintaining message Id during all the routing.
and that's why im not able to read the response message from the response queue because of message ID mismatch.
    Please help!!
tell me if i have to do change any particular configuration settings to maintain the message id for my request message throughout the flow.
    Thanks

  • How to Split parameter in OSB(Proxy Service) ?

    Hi,
    i'm Newby in OSB.
I get the WSDL from the target system, and the response from the wsdl that is lines with a separator / delimiter "|".
Examples: getLOANKep.wsdl at invoke in SOAP UI and Business Services in OSB with the result:
    1|andri|19021985|jakarta|500000|aktif
My question is, how do I break the line above in the "Proxy Service" to:
    <RefNo> 1 </ RefNo>
    <Full name> andri </ Full Name>
    <Date of birth> 19021985 </ Date of birth>
    <place of birth> jakarta </ place of birth>
    <loan limit> 500 000 </ loan limit>
    <status> aktif</ status>
    I need your help ASAP:)
    Regards,
    Leo regar

    Hi Prabu and Pierluigi,
Does MFL is only required when you want to transform the XML into non-xml and non-xml to xml. ?
Because, my question is , from a business service I get the results or response from the wsdl , So it's not a flat file but the XML result.
1|andri|19021985|jakarta|500000|aktif --> Response from business Service on Test Console In OSB.(XML)
So, how do I split from XML (business service) to XML (proxy service)? so the result as xml below:
    <RefNo> 1 </ RefNo>
    <Full name> andri </ Full Name>
    <Date of birth> 19021985 </ Date of birth>
    <place of birth> jakarta </ place of birth>
    <loan limit> 500 000 </ loan limit>
    <status> aktif</ status>
    Need your help :)

  • How to Serve HTML from a Proxy Service?

I am trying to serve HTML from a proxy service.
I set up a Messaging Service with request type = 'None' and response type = 'Text'; with Endpoint URL = '/OSB_Project/Proxy_Services/InfoPingerProxyService.html'.
In my incoming request pipeline I set an html Transport Header action to define Content-Type = 'text/html'.
In the response pipeline I replace the body with the html document contents...
Trouble is, when I access the proxy (via a standard browser GET), I always produce an XML file with an <?xml...?> processing instruction:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <html>
Also: the browser always sees an XML response regardless, it seems.
    Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

  • How to call a local variable from another component controller

    Dear Experts,
I have created 1 component controller(Controller Name as B)and methods. In that methods I Have declared Local variable(For ex data: Lv_flag). I have Created 1 more component and name as A. I used Component B in Component A(Using component usage). In A component controller I have created methods. Now I want to call a local variable Lv-flag in this method from B controller Method. Please reply your valuable answer.

    Karthikeyan,
Please make sure that flag attribute is under some node, say NODEA. NOW please select the interface node property and input element  of NODEA.
now NODEA will be available in interface controller. Interface controller acts like a global  controller between two different components.
So from interface controller you can take that flag value.
pls reply back if you have any confusion.

  • How BPEL call an OWSM managed web services ?

    Hello All,
I meet a case like this.
I defined a web services( WS1), and build a BPEL process(BP1) to call WS1, then security BP1 by OWSM. When I want to call BP1, I included WS-Security in header, and put username and password there. It works fine.
The I security the WS1 by OWSM ( Customer Requirement), then build another BPEL process(BP2) to call WS1. I also included WS-Security in header, and put username and password there. But it does not work and has Client.authenticationFault.
I have checed OWSM document, but could not find valuable information about this.
    Anyone can help?
    Thanks and regards,
    Michael

I successfully tested a scenario similar to yours. For that you may need to apply some patches. Here is what I successfully tested
Client -> WSSE Headers -> BPEL -> HTTP Headers -> OWSM managed service
Client -> HTTP Headers -> WSM service -> WSSE Headers -> BPEL -> HTTP Headers -> service
Only thing I came to know lately is based on BPEL invocation binding you have to specify inbound credentials to BPEL so that you can propagate them to invoked partnerLinks.
SOAP Binding -> use WSSE Heders to invoke BPEL
HTTP Bindig -> use WWW-Authenticate headers
Java API inoke -> use java properties
Can you elaborate more on your scenario.

Even this is not working please let me know ASAP

    GOT IT !!!
I had to change the name of the method in .h file generated by javah command. On doing
    javac -d ../../classes HelloWorld.java
go to the ../../classes directory (where you have the class file) and do
    javah HelloWorld
    I got a HelloWorld.h file in which I had
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_HelloWorld_display(JNIEnv *, jobject);
I added the package name too:
    JNIEXPORT void JNICALL Java_GUI_HelloWorld_display(JNIEnv *, jobject);
The HelloWorldImp.c file should have the same name (ie with package) and be in the same directory(ie ../../classes)
compile and build the shared library to get "libhello.so" file
    gcc -c -fPIC -I/usr/lib/j2sdk1.3/include -I/usr/lib/j2sdk1.3/include/linux HelloWorldImp.c
    gives .o file
    gcc -shared -o libhello.so HelloWorldImp.o
    gives .so file
then run java with the command in my first message. It works.
    Thanks for the reply "thedracle".

  • Fire and forget OSB service (wsdl based)

    Hi,
OSB proxy service message flow comes with request and response pipeline. Thus the OSB service will always be a blocking service. The proxy service based on wsdl having only input parameter will still be blocking call for the client. Is there a way to expose a wsdl based proxy service as one way (fire & forget) ?
    Thanks,
    Viv

You can do the same using Async WSDL service.
Or use  the action "Reply with Success" in request pipeline after the flow. which simply means, request has been successfully submitted to OSB proxy.
    e.g.  WSDL> ProxyService> putting in JMS> Reply with Success.

  • How to call an ABAP based web service from a web page (form)

    Hi,
I am trying to figure out how I can call my own developed ABAP based web service. I was able to successfully test it in the WS navigator and am now wondering what I need to do to embed the service call in a plain simply web page (form). Basically I'd like to create a web form allowing to specify the parameters and with a 'Submit' button pass the parameters to the web service and launch it.
Is this possible or do I need some kind of SDK to accomplish this?
Thanks for any hints and tips.
