How to call ABAP in another client ?

i have one abap in client 100. i want to call an abap, which should
be executed in client 101 on the same system.
how to handle this ?

Hi,
For this you need an RFC connection between the two clients;
Then you can execute a FM(that is RFC enabled) in the other(target client) by specifying the rfc destination(created above in SM59) as:
Call <Function module> destination <rfc destination>
IMPORT
EXPORT

Hi Rakesh,
If you wish to use ONLY the screen of another program, call transaction will not help you, because the called transaction will be fully executed (and not only the screen), and the acess to screen field wil be difficult.
When you wish to access the same screen from more than one program, you can create this screen in a function module and in this way you can call the function (to display the screen) in many programs.

You mean accessing ABAP functions from J2EE perspective, then I think we can do this by using SAP Java Resource Adapter and also through webservices.
SAP Java Resource Adapter (SAP JRA) can be used as an add-on for the SAP JCo SAP JRA enables the implementation of standard interfaces from diverse J2EE servers to the SAP JCo in the SAP Web AS. The SAP JRA thus simplifies

How to call abap proxy at run time?

hello frnds,
i m working on a scenario in which whenever Invoice is saved in SAP R/3 at that time same data should go to Oracle DB. i m using ABAP proxy on SAP R/3 side and JDBC receicver adapter on oracle side of XI.
so to post data i need to call ABAP Proxy whenever invoice is saved.. i have tried to find out save event for invoice but not able to get... can anybody tell me the solution that how i can call proxy at run time?

How to call ABAP client proxy?

Hello,
I am getting confused with ABAP client proxy now.
I've defined a outbound service interface (Message Interface) in PI, based on the service interface I generated the ABAP client proxy in the abap backend system. There are two possible ways to configuration the integration scenario for this interface:
1) use the proxy as web service consumer for scenario like: ws consumer --> PI
2) No web service, just proxy like: Proxy --> PI
Now I've configured a logical port (as default logical port) for scenario 1.
I wrote a ABAP program to call the proxy to send out message to PI. To call the proxy we instantiate the proxy like:
CREATE OBJECT proxy EXPORTING logical_port_name = p_port.
proxy->myOperation( ... ).
Now if I specify the logical_port_name, I think the local IE in the abap system knows to send out the message using web service (scenario 1). However if I do NOT specify logical_port_name, how the local IE knows which way to send out the message? Using web service with the default logica port, or directly post the message to the centrl IE pipeline using the second scenario ?
Anybody can clarify my doubts?

The answer to your question lies in the method CREATE_FRAMEWORK of class CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK_OUTBOUND. In this method, you will see method GET_SOAP_APPLICATION of class CL_SRT_LP_MAINTANENCE is checked to see which adapter to use (i.e WS runtime or XI runtime).
Anyway, to give a straight answer to your question, if you maintained an endpoint for your interface in tcode SOAManager, the WS runtime/adapter is used to send the message to Integration server. If there is no endpoint maintained, then it uses the XI runtime (or the traditional proxy adapter).
Now, as far as logical port goes, if you didn't give a value when calling the proxy client class and you didn't maintain an endpoint in SOAManager, then XI runtime is used.
If you didn't pass a value to logical port but you maintained an endpoint which the default logical port, then the same is used and communication happens through WS adapter.
If you didn't pass a value to logical port but you maintained an endpoint and didn't mark the port as default, then a WS runtime exception is raised.

I have several jsp files in my pagelet. I need to put a link in one jsp file. When client click the link, it will show another jsp file. Could anybody tell me how to do that? i have tried to use following code in page1.jsp,

How to call method in another swf file

Hi. I am at the moment making a website in Flash 8. The
website consists of a main file with the buttons and then
additional files for each page. Each of the buttons uses code
similar to this:
content.loadMovie("home page.swf");
where content is the movieclip I am using to load the swf
file into. In the main file I have a search box where a user can
type some search terms. I have written some code that will search
through the text field(s) on the page and highlight any words that
appear matching the search terms. The only problem is that I cannot
get to the text fields on the other files. So what I want to be
able to do is attach some code to the search button that will call
a method in another swf file using the parameters that I the user
has specified in the search box. How would I go about doing this?

Place functions in the external swf. Then you can call them
through the container clip

Realize however, you cannot call code in an external swf
until the frames with the functions are loaded. Timing would be an
issue if the user can beat the loading clock or if you have code
that is executed automatically after you start the load.
So if timing becomes an issue, use MovieClipLoader and the
onLoadInit method.

Currently I'm investigating the integration of Excel and ABAP program. I find it's easy to call Excel from ABAP program, but does anyone of you know how I can first open and do some actions in an Excel sheet first, and then, for example, when I press the save button, the data will be transferred back to ABAP system? I think when openning the Excel, the logon of the backend system is needed.
I've ever seen this functionality in some BW-reporting tools, but I cannot remember the details.

yes in BW we are having this concept of creating wookbooks & queries.
If u have BW server Go to Transaction RRMX - u will get a Microsoft Excel sheet.
Here it allows u to logon to the SAP system.

If it's transaction, you can call the transaction as below from a link or button.

Please replace the parameters in <..> with appropriate values before testing.

The Script Logic File is assigned to Data Manager Package which in backend will call the process chain.
So in your case you will be assigning the name of the Script file(in different application), to the DM Package of some other application from where you will be calling the logic.
