How to call abap proxy at run time?

hello frnds,
i m working on a scenario in which whenever Invoice is saved in SAP R/3 at that time same data should go to Oracle DB. i m using ABAP proxy on SAP R/3 side and JDBC receicver adapter on oracle side of XI.
so to post data i need to call ABAP Proxy whenever invoice is saved.. i have tried to find out save event for invoice but not able to get... can anybody tell me the solution that how i can call proxy at run time?
thanx in advance.

  • ** How to debug ABAP Mapping at run time?

    Hi Friends,
    We have created one class using the interface IF_MAPPING and the method EXCUTE. Inside the class we have written coding. We refer this class in the interface mapping as mapping program. But, while execute the scenario, how do I debug my class ? (If it is proxy, we will mention the user name in XI adpater CC, refer the same user in ABAP external debuggine, but in the abap mapping class how do i refer..?
    Kindly help me friends.
    Kind Regards,

    Hi,
    maybe you could do it like described in this thread:

    Hello,
    Using dynamic sql you can pass column name to function. well I am not getting what you really want to do ? Please write in more detail. By the way I am providing one example here. see it uses dynamic sql.
    Create or replace function fun_updtest (p_columnname_varchar2 in varchar2,
    p_value_number in number)
    return number is
    v_stmt varchar2(500);
    begin
    v_stmt := 'update emp
    set '||p_columnname_varchar2||' = '||to_char(p_value_number)||'
              where empno = 7369';
    execute immediate v_stmt;
    return 0;
    commit;
    end;
    call to this function can be like this..
    declare
    v_number               number;
    begin
    v_number := fun_updtest('SAL',5000);
    end;

  • Abap report for calling abap proxy?

    why do we need  to write abap report for calling abap proxy? i mean what's the use of abap report and what are the things inside the report ...please give me details about abap report.

    Hi,
    In SPROXY for your outbound interface you generate the proxy class.
    The ABAP report is used to fill the data from the ABAP tables and then trigger the call to XI using this class.
    Look into the code in this blog and check what is done,. The data is filled in the report and then the call is made to XI using an object of the class created in SPROXY using the EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS method.

    Hi Kishan,
    You have to check whether ur r/3 system's(WAS 620 or above) excahnge profile has entries for integration builder.
    Pls check the Example configuration for accessing
    interfaces in the Integration Repository (exchange profile):
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/555f3c482a7331e10000000a114084/content.htm
    If the Parameters are not there u need to add in the respective section's as provided in the link.

  • How to call ABAP client proxy?

    Hello,
    I am getting confused with ABAP client proxy now.
    I've defined a outbound service interface (Message Interface) in PI, based on the service interface I generated the ABAP client proxy in the abap backend system. There are two possible ways to configuration the integration scenario for this interface:
    1) use the proxy as web service consumer for scenario like:  ws consumer --> PI
    2) No web service, just proxy like:  Proxy --> PI
    Now I've configured a logical port (as default logical port) for scenario 1.
    I wrote a ABAP program to call the proxy to send out message to PI. To call the proxy we instantiate the proxy like:
    CREATE OBJECT proxy  EXPORTING    logical_port_name = p_port.
    proxy->myOperation( ...  ).
    Now if I specify the logical_port_name, I think the local IE in the abap system knows to send out the message using web service (scenario 1). However if I do NOT specify logical_port_name, how the local IE knows which way to send out the message? Using web service with the default logica port, or directly  post the message to the centrl IE pipeline using the second scenario ?
    Anybody can clarify my doubts?
    Thanks
    Eric

    The answer to your question lies in the method CREATE_FRAMEWORK of class CL_PROXY_FRAMEWORK_OUTBOUND. In this method, you will see method GET_SOAP_APPLICATION of class CL_SRT_LP_MAINTANENCE is checked to see which adapter to use (i.e WS runtime or XI runtime).
    Anyway, to give a straight answer to your question, if you maintained an endpoint for your interface in tcode SOAManager, the WS runtime/adapter is used to send the message to Integration server. If there is no endpoint maintained, then it uses the XI runtime (or the traditional proxy adapter).
    Now, as far as logical port goes, if you didn't give a value when calling the proxy client class and you didn't maintain an endpoint in SOAManager, then XI runtime is used.
    If you didn't pass a value to logical port but you maintained an endpoint which the default logical port, then the same is used and communication happens through WS adapter.
    If you didn't pass a value to logical port but you maintained an endpoint and didn't mark the port as default, then a WS runtime exception is raised.
    Hope this answers your question. For more information, try to take a look in the classes mentioned above.

  • How to insert ABAP PROXY in customized ABAP program

    Hello experts,
    I am a ABAP developer and I am developing a program to send XML strings to a legacy system using an ABAP PROXY but I have run into a roadblock as follows:
    My PI colleagues who know PI but not ABAP have created a ABAP PROXY data type with the structure that I need to be populated from my program but cannot tell me how to get the data into this structure. They have directed me to SERVICE INTERFACES where there is a class and method EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS but this is where we all have a road block. I am not sure whether I have to just use this class and method in my program to populate the data type proxy previously created or whether a completely new proxy has to be created under service interfaces.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    regards

    Hi David,
    I thought you are using 7.0 ... sorry for the confusion.
    Here are the steps that you can follow for proxy generation for SAP PI 7.1:-
    TCode - SPROXY
    1. The interface objects are ordered according to software component version, namespace and object type.
    If no connection to the Integration Repository exists, the system only displays interface objects in the tree structure for which a proxy exists in the system.
    2. Choose an interface object for which no proxy already exists. To create a proxy for this interface object, double click the context menu Create Proxy.
    3. In the dialog box, specify the name of the package where you want to create the proxy objects. You can also specify a prefix for the names of all objects to be created to avoid naming conflicts with names that already exist in the system.
    Result
    To generate proxies, the WSDL description of the message interface is read using HTTP.
    If no naming conflicts occur during the conversion, you can call the hierarchy of the generated objects from the tab page "Structure". The objects are only then saved in the system once you choose Activate.
    If the description is changed in the Integration Repository, you must regenerate the proxy objects
    Hope this is helpful.

  • How to determine itab type at run time

    I need to write a subroutine that organizes data in internal tables for presentation by a smartform. There are a few similarly structured internal tables all with the same field name ("recipe_type") by which the data is sorted. My problem is that how I can determine the type of the itab inside my subroutine at run time? Is it ever possible in ABAP?
    The subroutine code is attached below. Thanks for any help.
    FORM beautify_itab    TABLES itab_in TYPE table
                                     USING v_type TYPE any
                                     CHANGING itab_out TYPE table.

      LOOP AT itab_in INTO v_data_row.
        IF v_type <> itab_in-recipe_type.                     " 'recipe_type' is the sort key for the incoming itabs
          v_type = itab_in-recipe_type.

        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDFORM.                    "beautify_itab

    The following code does what I want, but only if the input itab structure is declared first in the program. It won't work if the itab is declared as itab_in TYPE TABLE OF sflight. This is because the function 'GET_COMPONENTS_LIST'  only can load the structure of a field declared explicitly in the program.  Does anybody know of any method to load the structure of an itab based off a dtab?
    Thanks you guys for answers. Points have been rewarded.

  • How to choose RT System at Run Time

    Variations of this question have been asked, but I'm not sure if they've been answered.
    We use LabVIEW RT to do a variety of behavior tests.  We have multiple experimenters using the same hardware, and each has his/her own set of "What I want to do" requirements.
    Originally, we used LabVIEW 7.0 (i.e. Before Project) to develop a Host and Remote (PXI) application.  The Host application was built as an .EXE, while the Remote was saved as an .LLB, copied to the PXI, and "invoked" at Run Time by calls to VI Server.  Note that this means that the code on the Remote might (is?) not be as compact, efficient, or optimized as if we had built an .EXE.  But we definitely can have Bob's Experiment, Jane's Experiment, and Joe's Experiment on the PC (as separate executables), and each could respectively call Bob's RT, Jane's RT, or Joe's RT on the PXI at run time.  No need to have LabVIEW (or LabVIEW expertise) on this system, and Bob, Jane, and Joe can be "ordinary users".
    "Modern LabVIEW" takes a slightly different (and probably better) view towards Real-Time -- both the Host and Remote programs are built as Executables (the RT is built as an .RTEXE).  We can "pre-deploy" the RT code to the PXI, and set it to run at Startup.  This makes getting the RT side "running" semi-automatic -- all you need to do (if it isn't running) is reboot the PXI.
    But what if you want Bob, Jane, and Joe's version, selectable by running (on the Host) Bob, Jane, or Joe's Host application?
    I'm playing with the following algorithm, which seems to work.  I'm presenting it here to get feedback, especially if there is a "better way" to do this.
    The key to this method is that there is an .INI file on the Remote, C:\ni-rt.ini, that contains, among other things, the RT Target's Startup Application path (by default, this is C:\ni-rt\startup\startup.rtexe).
    Consider three Projects, Project Bob, Project Jane, and Project Joe.  Within each Project, a Host executable is built having a name like "UI Bob" (or "Jane" or "Joe"), while the Target executable is given the name "RT Bob" (or "Jane" or "Joe").  The three .RTEXE files are copied to the Target and placed in the Startup folder, C:\ni-rt\startup.
    Now run one of the Host executables.  It does the following:
    FTP a copy of C:\ni-rt.ini from the Target to itself.
    Get the name of the Startup .RTEXE.
    If it is the "appropriate" name (i.e. if the Host program is UI Bob.exe, the Remote should be RT Bob.rtexe), do nothing, as the Target is already running the right code.
    Otherwise, we need to force the Target to run the correct Target code.  We can do this by changing the Startup entry in the .INI file to the Remote code we need (for example, RT Bob.rtexe), then tell the Remote to Reboot.  When it comes back, it will be running the appropriate RT code.
    The Host now goes ahead and tries to connect to the Remote.  If a connection cannot be established (for example, the Remote code might have stopped), a Reboot of the Remote might fix things up.
    Short of trying to write a single enormous program that encompasses every experimental scenario and situation (i.e. have a big Case Statement with a Bob, Jane, or Joe "choice", and a single executable that had everyone's code in it), this seemed to be a fairly simple way to have the robustness of compiled executables on both the Host and Remote machines, yet maintain the flexibility to let the (non-LabVIEW-guru) User choose which executable to run.
    I haven't fully deployed this system -- I'm currently at "Proof-of-Concept" stage, but I've got the various "pieces" working.  Does this seem like a sensible appropach?  Are there other, simpler, ways to accomplish this?
    Bob Schor

    Hey Bob.
    So I assume you're -completely- working with built executables?  You're not going to work in the editor environment to modify your projects at all?
    If this is the case, then having a generic deployment phase at the beginning of the executable (with a "setting up hardware for your app" splash screen) isn't a bad idea -
    Check the binary on the target, ensure it matches the binary you have on the host machine (in case you ever decide to update).
    If they don't match, FTP the new file down to replace the old one.
    FTP the ni-rt.ini file, ensure the startup exe is enabled and is pointing to the correct location.
    If it's not enabled or not pointing to the correct startup file, modify the .INI file and FTP back to the target.
    If you had to update the INI file, ask target to reboot itself.  Wait 30 seconds, and wait for target to become available again.
    Connect to the target. If you cannot connect, reboot target.  If the target comes back and you still cannot connect to the app, notify user.
    That's almost exactly how we handle installation and deployment via MAX.
    The big assumption here is that the built executables were all built with the same version of LabVIEW Real-Time.  If not, you'd need a system replication step in there to make sure the proper version of LabVIEW is on the target before launching the built .rtexe.

    Hello Asad,
    It is possible to maximize the run time previewer when calling reports from forms. U need to set a parameter named 'MAXIMIZE' to do that.
    I m attaching a code sample for u. This is working in my production environment.
    DECLARE
    pl_id ParamList;
    BEGIN
         pl_id := Get_Parameter_List('setProposal');
         IF NOT Id_Null(pl_id) THEN
              Destroy_Parameter_List( pl_id );
         END IF;
         pl_id := Create_Parameter_List('setProposal');
    // This parameter is set to hide parameter form at run time
         Add_Parameter(pl_id, 'PARAMFORM', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'NO');
    // This parameter is used to maximize previewer window at run // time
         Add_Parameter(pl_id, 'MAXIMIZE', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'YES');
    Run_Product(REPORTS, 'sample.rep', SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME,
    FILESYSTEM, pl_id, NULL);

  • How to call methods from within run()

    Seems like this must be a common question, but I cannot for the life of me, find the appropriate topic. So apologies ahead of time if this is a repeat.
    I have code like the following:
    public class MainClass implements Runnable {
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    Thread t = new Thread(new MainClass());
    t.start();
    public void run() {
    if (condition)
    doSomethingIntensive();
    else
    doSomethingElseIntensive();
    System.out.println("I want this to print ONLY AFTER the method call finishes, but I'm printed before either 'Intensive' method call completes.");
    private void doSomethingIntensive() {
    System.out.println("I'm never printed because run() ends before execution gets here.");
    return;
    private void doSomethingElseIntensive() {
    System.out.println("I'm never printed because run() ends before execution gets here.");
    return;
    }Question: how do you call methods from within run() and still have it be sequential execution? It seems that a method call within run() creates a new thread just for the method. BUT, this isn't true, because the Thread.currentThread().getName() names are the same instead run() and the "intensive" methods. So, it's not like I can pause one until the method completes because they're the same thread! (I've tried this.)
    So, moral of the story, is there no breaking down a thread's execution into methods? Does all your thread code have to be within the run() method, even if it's 1000 lines? Seems like this wouldn't be the case, but can't get it to work otherwise.
    Thanks all!!!

    I (think I) understand the basics.. what I'm confused
    about is whether the methods are synced on the class
    type or a class instance?The short answer is; the instance for non-static methods, and the class for static methods, although it would be more accurate to say against the instance of the Class for static methods.
    The locking associated with the "sychronized" keyword is all based around an entity called a "monitor". Whenever a thread wants to enter a synchronized method or block, if it doesn't already "own" the monitor, it will try to take it. If the monitor is owned by another thread, then the current thread will block until the other thread releases the monitor. Once the synchronized block is complete, the monitor is released by the thread that owns it.
    So your question boils down to; where does this monitor come from? Every instance of every Object has a monitor associated with it, and any synchronized method or synchonized block is going to take the monitor associated with the instance. The following:
      synchronized void myMethod() {...is equivalent to:
      void myMethod() {
        synchronized(this) {
      ...Keep in mind, though, that every Class has an instance too. You can call "this.getClass()" to get that instance, or you can get the instance for a specific class, say String, with "String.class". Whenever you declare a static method as synchronized, or put a synchronized block inside a static method, the monitor taken will be the one associated with the instance of the class in which the method was declared. In other words this:
      public class Foo {
        synchronized static void myMethod() {...is equivalent to:
      public class Foo{
        static void myMethod() {
          synchronized(Foo.class) {...The problem here is that the instance of the Foo class is being locked. If we declare a subclass of Foo, and then declare a synchronized static method in the subclass, it will lock on the subclass and not on Foo. This is OK, but you have to be aware of it. If you try to declare a static resource of some sort inside Foo, it's best to make it private instead of protected, because subclasses can't really lock on the parent class (well, at least, not without doing something ugly like "synchronized(Foo.class)", which isn't terribly maintainable).
    Doing something like "synchronized(this.getClass())" is a really bad idea. Each subclass is going to take a different monitor, so you can have as many threads in your synchronized block as you have subclasses, and I can't think of a time I'd want that.
    There's also another, equivalent aproach you can take, if this makes more sense to you:
      static final Object lock = new Object();
      void myMethod() {
        synchronized(lock) {
          // Stuff in here is synchronized against the lock's monitor
      }This will take the monitor of the instance referenced by "lock". Since lock is a static variable, only one thread at a time will be able to get into myMethod(), even if the threads are calling into different instances.

  • Call ABAP-Proxy with SOAP adapter?

    Hi all,
    for a PI7.1-scenario I would like to use the Lookup-API in mapping. As I know I can use either RFC or SOAP channels, however I would rather call an ABAP-Proxy in my backend system instead.
    So my question is: Is it technically possible to use the SOAP-adapter to call an ABAP-Proxy?
    Your help would be appreciated, best regards
    David

    Hi Stefan,
    Interesting answer here and one that has got me curious. Hope you can help.
    1. When you say it is going to be possible to call a ABAP proxy using a  UDF in the mapping of XI ( Lookup ), would it be using the WS Adapter of PI 7.1?
    2. If 1 is yes, is there a new API code to do this, or is it the same lookup code as used previously in XI 3.0 and PI 7.0 Days?
    3. If 1 is no, can you explain maybe a little more on how this would be possible using the standard SOAP adapter of XI?
    Thanks a bunch.

  • How to create ABAP Proxy for SSL secured ABAP Service

    Hi guys,
    I try to set up transport security for my ABAP web service. The service should be called via a ABAP Proxy.
    These are my steps to create the ABAP web service:
    1. Create function module (se80)
    2. Create web service (web service definition) (service wizard)
    2.1 Authentication = STRONG
    2.2 Transport Guarantee = BOTH
    3. Activate service (wsconfig)
    4. Control service (wsadmin)
    Afterwards I tried to create the proxy but when I add the WSDL URI I always get an
    HTTP error (return code 407, message "ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR")
    I tried to find a "How to" but I was not successfull. Also the saphelp http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/65/6a563cef658a06e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm was not helpful for me.
    Hopfully you can help me! Every comment is appreciated!
    Regards

    I advise to have a look into the ICM trace file (dev_icm) - either by using ABAP transaction ST11 or SMICM.
    There you should find error details. Most likely it's about the "chain verifier" complaining that he's unable to verify the certificate of the communication peer.
    In that case [SAP Note 1094342|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1094342] might be helpful.

  • Calling abap proxy synchronous ...

    Hi everyone.
    I have this scenario.
    abap proxy (request) -
    > XI (BPM) -
    > abap proxy (response).
    I'm able to send async the data using the proxy and i would like to send the response to other proxy.
    The best scenario for me would be if the proxy in sync, the BPM do some checks and finally, sender proxy returns the values.
    any idea of how to do this two scenarios?
    Regards,
    Inigo.

    Hi,
    >>>abap proxy (request) -
    > XI (BPM) -
    > abap proxy (response).
    are you sure that processing inside the BPM will take less then 30 sec?
    if not why do you want a syn call ? do you use this sync proxy call
    from an online report in r3 ?
    if you don't need a sync report do it in an async way:
    proxy - BPM - proxy (which writes the results to a table)
    and then from your report you can read from that table...
    one of the possibilities
