How to call LabVIEW_VI in VBScript(activex Com server) with (ByVaL, ByRef)parameters

Hai to all,
i want to call LabVIEW_VI(Activex Server) from VBScript. That VBScript include onther COM Server. i want to data exchange between VBScript and LabVIEW. That parameters shouldbe two types, I mean some parameters ByVal and some ByRef.
How can i call?
Request: How to create VI function with ByRef parameter in LabVIEW.
ex: in 'C++': LabVIEWFunction(short* numb1, CString* str1).
Note: i am using LabVIEW 7.0 Express.

Hello.
I am not sure if I understand correctly. Sure, you can access both controls (inputs) and indicators (outputs) with the LabVIEW ActiveX server. If you use the call function i mentioned in my last answer, you might pass two arrays to the function. One array with the control/ indicator names and another one containing the values. After calling the VI you will find the data of the VI outputs inside the values-array.
Have a look at the attatched ZIP file. It contains a simple example showing the procedure.

I have tried to call simple LabVIEW 8.6 Dll from win32 test application, class Library.
I have include LabVIEW generated SharedLib.h file and SharedLib.lib file in the test application which I created as simple win32 console project and also from win32 class Library. I was sucessfully able to call my LabVIEW dll funtion.
But when I create ATL COM project and try to add SharedLib.h file and SharedLib.lib file I used to get following erors

I also had this problem. My application is unicode-aware, but I was attempting to link it to a library with primitive C-string arguments. You could dynamically load the DLL as suggested (more work), modify the header files (really not recommended), or if you are feeling lucky you could try fooling the compiler, as I was successfully able to do in Visual Studio 2010, by steering the preprocessor around those functions (assuming you're not using them, of course -- otherwise this probably wouldn't work):

You can create a wrapper package on top of the API (hr_location_api.create_location)
In the wrapper package you set all the values dynamically based on your requirements(say the style and add_line columns are populated on your conditions) and then you call the API.
Does that not work ?

Using Forms to insert data from a file into a table is the wrong way to do this. It would be much more efficient and appropriate to use SQL Loader to insert the file data. Another option, depending on your database version, would be to use an external table. External tables are basically an interface that uses SQL Loader to read and write to the file just like you would a table. You must have RDBMS 10g or higher to use external tables.

How to call a other servlet in other server

I want to forward a request coming from one HTTP Client to another servlet which is in other web server. Is it possible? If Possible how can I do it?

You could open an HttpURLConnection to the other servlet and recieve the output from the servlet and incorporate this output into the first servlet's response. You will not be able to directly pass the original request to the second servlet but can construct a new request to the second servlet.

There is no need to rename file.
You can get gnumake folder on name. The latest one is make-3.79.1.tar.gz
Get two more files make and tar files........
Instead just search this site for installing gnu make. Very easy steps are there.
I think there should not be any problen.
And Just dump all the files somewhere. When you start installation and installer does not find something it will ask for the location. This is the way I haev followed.

Play around with this a little. This is an example program I found on the WEB...I don't have Matlab so I can't run it.

Please do anybody know how to solve this issue? I need to call one query with the fixed structure more than once with different selection criteria. For example. I have following data
Sales organization XX

Now, I need this. At the selection screen of query, user fill variable charakteristic "Sales organization" with interval XX - YY, than I need to generate two separate results per sales organization, one for Sales Organization XX and the second for SO YYwhich will be displayed each on separate page, where result for SO YY will be dispayed under result for SO YY. Are there some options how to do it for example in Report Designer or WAD or with programming? In Report Designer is possible to use one query more than once, but I dont know how to force each query in RD to display result only for one Sales Organization, which will be defined in selection screen.

thanks to all for cooperation. Finally we solved this issue with the following way..
User fill appropriate SO on the selection screen, which is defined as range. This will resulte, that selected SO are listed in report below each othe (standard behavior). Required solution we achieved with the Report Designer, we set page break under each Result row of RD. This caused, that report is divided into required part per SO, which are stated each on separate page.

Raj, Check if my explanation helps you:
Your job runs every 10 seconds.
Lets say first time you are scheduling and running your job at 12:00:00 PM
Now your proc will start executing.
Say it got finished at 12:00:07.
Now the next schedule time is 12:00:10 PM.
The moment this time hits, the job will get invoked and start executing the proc.
Lets say this time it finished at 12:00:22 PM (It took 2 extra seconds)
This time the scheduled time is already gone (12:00:20 PM), thus it'll now run at the next schedule that is 12:00:30 PM.
Thus if anytime your job takes more than 10 seconds to run, it'll just miss those particular schedules overlapping with execution time. Otherwise you are good to go.
PS: A job is the best way to handle this, in your problem statement you don't need a job but that would be wrong. You have another way to do that, if you keep running your procedure all the time and the moment your timestamp hits a multiple of 10
seconds you can run your logic and then returning to the timer. But this is extremely wrong for a system. Even if your requirement is extremely transactional and complex, I would not suggest this. If the job is taking more than 10seconds (which it might if
your logics inside are complex), you should optimize your code and table architecture.
