Can we pass values to custom headers through HTTP bindings in BPEL?

hi,
I have an urgent requirement where I have to pass values to custom headers of HTTP url through HTTP bindings in bPEL.
Is it possible? Say I have a http url http://localhost:80/test.
I need to post xml over the above HTTP url as well pass some values to the Custom Headers Variables.
Can I achieve this functionality thorugh BPEL or not?

Hi,
My requirement is exactly the same as yours, can you please let me know what did you do to overcome the Oracle Forms Default change password screen.

Praveen

  • How to call & pass values to custom page from seeded page table region

    Hi All,
can anyone tell me how to call & pass values to custom page from seeded page table region(Attribute is not available in seeded page VO)
    it is urgent. plssss

    Hi,
Yes, we do this by extending controller, but you can also try this without extending controller.
    1. Create Submit Button on TableRN using personalization.
    2. Set "Destination URI" property to like below
    OA.jsp?page=/<yourname>/oracle/apps/ak/employee/webui/EmpDetailsPG&employeeNumber={@EmployeeId}&employeeName={@EmployeeName}&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
Give your custom page path instead of EmpDetailsPG.
EmployeeId and EmployeeName are VO attributes(Table Region)
If you dont have desired attribute in VO, then write logic in your custom page controller to get required value using parameters passed from URL path.
In this case, only personalization will do our job. Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Venkat Y.

  • Can we pass value through "EXPORT" in background scheduled report

    hi experts
my query is can we pass some field using 'EXPORT' statement while scheduling a report to run in background using statement
submit 'ZXYX' via job jo_name number jo_num and return.
i am using 'IMPORT" statement in 'ZXYZ'

EXPORT, as I recall, is limited to your user context.   Check shared objects (which still may not work, although you can propagate to servers) and INDX-like tables.  Research use of INDX-like tables for how data is passed into and out of these tables (import/export).

  • How to pass values of the prompt through Action Link - URL in 11g

    Hi All,
    I am in OBIEE 11g v6.
Let's say, I have two dashbaord pages P1 and P2.
    P1 page contains
    1. Prompt PR1 - containing a single column EmpName
    2. Report R1
    P2 page contains
    1. Prompt PR2 - containing a single column EmpName (same column as in PR1)
    2. Report R2
    Requirement :
Let's say a user select a value = David from the EmpName column in prompt PR1. In the Report R1, on one the measure columns 'Sales', I am using an action link - Navigate to URL ( I can't use Navigate to BI Content for some reasons). In the URL, I am giving the URL to page P2. Can I pass the selected value (which is David) to the EmpName column of the Prompt PR2 of Page P2 so that Report R2 is automatically limited by David when I land on that page through the URL?
Few things to consider are, I can't use EmpName column in my report R1 on page P1, I just want to pass the value of a common column from one prompt on Page1 to another prompt on Page2. Is that possible. Can anybody please help?
    Thanks,
    Ronny

Hmm can you give a try one more time with
Add EmpName name and hide it on report R1 on page P1
and set EmpName as Is Prompted on report R2 on page P2 and with my earlier steps should work.
Other option is read this doc once that helps you how to pass value thru url.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/bi.1111/e16364/apiwebintegrate.htm#z1005224
You need to have a EmpName as Is Prompted on report R2 on page P2

  • Can we pass values when hyperlinking a classic report column?

    Version 4.2.1 (builder blue)
    Hi there,
I have a classic report in which I have hyperlinked a column, using the standard link option in the report settings. In that we can also pass on values to to page that the linked report opens. However, I notice when I pop up the window for the value to be passed, it only lists the #XY# contents of the report. Lets say, I have created the link on page1 which when clicked opens Page 2,
I want to pass the value of :P1_PERIOD to :P2_PERIOD
Can we not do that through the link? If I just put the value in Item1 as P2_PERIOD and populate it with :P1_PERIOD, wouldn't that work?
    Thanks,
    Ryan

If I just put the value in Item1 as P2_PERIOD and populate it with :P1_PERIOD, wouldn't that work? No, <tt>:P1_PERIOD</tt> is referencing the item using bind variable notation. That's only for use in SQL and PL/SQL contexts within APEX. Elsewhere in APEX (HTML source, links and branches etc) you need to reference item values using static text substitution:
    &P1_PERIOD.(Note the terminating dot.)
Put <tt>P2_PERIOD</tt> in Item 1 Name and <tt>&P1_PERIOD.</tt> in Value.

  • Passing values to custom OVS dynamically

    Hi,
I am trying to select the Address from a list of addresses available for an Account while creating Visit for that account.
In Visit QC, I populate the Account field using the standard Account OVS. After this, I want to show the list of Addresses available for this selected account in my custom Address OVS.
Currently I have configured my OVS to Customer XBO. In this, I am passing Account ID as the parameter to the query and I am displaying the Account ID and the Addresses for that account.
But this OVS displays all the Account IDs and only 1 address for all the available Accounts.
As can be seen from the below screenshot, I have selected Account= ‘Lowes’ in Visit QC. But when I click on Addresses OVS, it displays me entire list of Accounts.
Is there a way in which I can dynamically pass the Account ID of the account selected in the Visit QC to my custom OVS? I also need to display all the Addresses available for this AccountID.
Please suggest how this can be achieved.
    Thanks,
    Ambuja

    Hi,
By Custom OVS what I mean is, I have created an OVS based on standard Customer object. I am not using the public OVS. I have not defined any Custom BO. Do I need to define a custom BO for this?
I am using Customer XBO to show the list of Addresses as shown in below screenshot.
ValueHelpQuery is bound to InternalID of Customer.
I have not configured any Inport or Outport. Actually I am implementing the OVS for the first time. Could you please guide me on what needs to be configured in the Inport. I referred the PDF documentation for configuring OVS but did not find much info on configuring Inport and other event hanldlers.
    Thanks,
    Ambuja

    Hi
I want to create generate next number on base of type. I have created stored procedure with passing  three value input. If I am passing value manually through page then next number is generating. But I don't to pass value manually, I have to assign value internally as per database record.

I did same thing in my application,It is working,Output like that
    Value = INV
    Result= 26400080
Now I have to assign value TRANSCATION  TYPE through bean class or  assign another textbox value. I did in my program in the following ways
       <af:inputText value="INV"
                                                              label="#{bindings.p_transaction_type.hints.label}"

  • Can applet pass value back to web page?

if i run an applet in a web page, eg: aspx
is it possible for me to pass value back to the page?

if say i'm playing a maze, which written in applet.
and the applet is run under a web page.Lika applets usually are.
at the time i solve the maze, it will show a
    messagebox,
at the beginning, i plan to write a solving data
fileto the disk, but later i found out applet doesn't
allow writing of file.It does. You just need to sign it.
so i would like to pass the data value back to the
web page, when i click the ok button on the message
box.You didnt' answer my question. Web pages are HTML and don't accept data, so your question as it is makes no sense.
pass back an integer value which store the solvign
time.If you want to talk to Javascript, see my previous post about using Google to find out how. It's often-documented.

  • B2B  Custom document through Http Channel.

    Hi
Normally in order to exchange Edifact documetns we use Edi identifiers to receive documents from multiple Trading Partners.
But we have a scenario, where we need to use single Custom Purchase Order document definition and need to recieve Documents from multiple Trading Partners through Http Channel, we are passing xml documents. How to get Document Identifier for Custom documents and how to get the Identifier tag from the Document given as input to differentiate from different trading partners.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Chaitanya.

    Hi Anuj,
    Thanks for reply
In My scenario i have to receive custom documents(cXML file) from two remote trading partners through http channel. I just created one custom document definition...and each agreement for each trading partner using that document definition.
If the document (i/p) is coming from soa, then easily i can give fromTP and toTP values in SOA mediator or bpel and i can route the document to particular agreement.
But in my case, the i/p document doesnt comes from SOA (it may come from http servlet or in some way) so i cant give toTP and fromTP values.
so if it is a EDI document ,then we can route it according to the identifiers. but in my case it is a Custom document i.e, cXML.xml
so in my xml i had one <Identity>xxx</Identity> tag ,this identity tag value tells us from which partner the document is coming. so by using this identity tag can i route it to particular agreement.
so based on the above identity tag, how can i find the trading partner in b2b.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Chaitanya.

    Hello Rupachandran,
the memory id won't work as it is within the current session only.
    you have two main options:
    1) pass parameters in URL
    2) persist the parameters somehow ( shared memory area, database table )  and pass a GUID in the URL which refers to these.
strangely enough although this is a mirror of most of the posts here, which want to launch WDA apps from standard GUI based code, the techniques are very very similar.
you might get some help from looking at this recent post Calling webdypro through R3 Function module
